I had a voicemail from this number saying it was Com Ed.  It said something about taking action to prevent a rate increase.  I don't have Com Ed and their service area is at least 100 miles from me.  Definitely a scam.

Called saying we were late on our ComEd payment, which is a lie. Said they could lower our bill, also a lie. Feel sorry for the people who fall for this tripe.

Keep in mind that the only people who regard the Do Not Call registry are companies who are abiding by laws and regulations.  Companies that keep calling (like this one) are scam operations, so why would they care about a do not call list?  And because some people spend more time figuring out how to steal, shirk, and fraud others than they do figuring out how to earn their keep, they find ways to morph and clone phone numbers so they can hide and keep calling without being found.

I receive calls from this number several times a day.  There doesn't seem to be anyone at the other end of the line when I answer the call.

That "Discount Center" does a fine job of pretending they are ComEd, until you call them on their lie.  They cannot or will not answer the simple question:  "What company are you calling from?"  Crooks.

Robocall about lowering electricity rates.  

Do not press any number to be removed from their list.  Do not press any number to speak to anyone.  These crooks are making illegal telemarkeitng calls.  Why would you want to give them any of your personal information or do business with them?

If you really want to lower your electricity rates and change your provider from ComEd, there are any number of websites out there that you can research to compare apples to apples.  The state of Illinois (through the Illinois Commerce Commission) has one in particular that is very helpful:  http://www.pluginillinois.org/

Do NOT go through one of these aggregators.  They will only charge you up the wazoo to do what you can do yourself.  Report each one of these illegal telemarketing calls to http://www.donotcall.gov.

SO MUCH FOR THE GOVERNMENT RUN DO NOT CALL LIST ! MORE S*** THEY CANT DO RIGHT !

Have called three times and when you answer they don't say anything and hang up.  Then I got a call from 847-093-4855 and they tried to sign me up for alternative power calling themselves Public Power and gave me an 800 number 800-479-0776 which then answers "Discount Center"!  So all these numbers are related and don't seem legit to me.

So much for chewing them out they still call with the same frequency!  I keep screaming hello and dead silence.

This and several other similar 312, 708, 773 numbers calling me every day several times a day.  I asked several times to be put on their do not call list and they still keep calling.

Today was the worst.  6 calls in 2 hours.  Finally I picked up the receiver and didn't even wait for a voice but started to chew em out.  "I DON'T KNOW WHO THE H*** YOU ARE BUT I'M NOT INTERRESTED, STOP PESTERING ME AND TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST"  Since my outburst there have been no calls.  May be their device reacts to loud noices!  Like my voice!

These bleeping b-sturds are also calling from 773--345-4795.  I know it's the same crooks because when you call that number (or 708-856-8499 or 708-856-8824) you get the SAME baloney voice mail about it being a survey call.  This is not a legitimate company.  These people are crooks who are trying to rip off gullible people.  Report them immediately, and all the fake numbers they are spoofing, to www.donotcall.gov!

This is NOT Commonwealth Edison.  It's some electricity provider aggregation outfit that is trying to get you to switch from ComEd to someone else, God knows who.  They require your ComEd Acccount Number to do this.

These people are making illegal telemarketing calls.  When asked repeatedly what the name of their company was, all she could say was DISCOUNT CENTER.  I call it SCAM.

They are also using 708-856-8824 for these SCAM calls.  When they're not calling and hanging up on people, they are scaring them with the message by pretending to be ComEd.  Again, they are NOT ComEd.  Tell them nothing.  They are scam artists who are breaking the law!

Keeps calling - leaves no message - I will not answer unknown phone numbers

Calling 2-4 times a day and do not leave a message.  I picked up the call once to find out who keeps calling.  It was a recorded message about lowering electric utility bills.  Since they are not paying attention to the Do Not Call List, I have BLOCKED this number through Comcast, my phone provider.
