Caller immediately hung up

Caller hung up.  When I called back, the call went directly to voice mail (full).

Got a call sound like breathing on the phone then hung-up!

Caller called and mummbled and hung up. I called them back, went to voicemail and it's full. I text them to stop calling my phone...

This is not the second time that this has happened.

Repeated call from this number.  Recorded message leaves an 866-343-5166 number to call back.  Same old message:  Hi, this is "Jim" from the "Prize Center" calling about "The Contest" you entered "Some Time Ago" to win a "Major Prize".  We have "Very Good News" for you.  (Notice they don't say you "Won", just that they have "very good news"!)

You'll never talk to a human being if you call 708-914-1007.  But if you call this 866 number or if you put it into Google, you'll find it's the same old tired "vacation club" scam that has generated a ton of complaints as well as legal action from Texas authorities.  Please be my guest and call this number and read them the riot act.

I received a call from Jim today (708) 914-1007 saying I won some prizes, and you have to call back 1-866-343-5166.  DON'T CALL IT.  It's a scam.  Google the 866-343-5166, and look at the note from the Credit Union stating it's a phishing scam.

I have been getting call from this 708-914-1007 & 1008. when I call back voice mail is full or line is busy. Any ideas on what is going on here?

Received a call from this number placed to a cell phone number on March 19, 2010 Friday in morning.  Immediate hangup when answered.  

Note:  an identical type of immediate hangup call was placed to the same cell number on March 20. 2010 in the afternoon with cell caller-id showing 708-914-1006.  So the abuser seems to have a "bank of numbers".  Using different numbers defeats single number blocking strategies and equipment.

I too am on the  "Do Not Call" registry for land lines but have to check if cell numbers are in there too.

The caller is just another Scumbag human being, abusing our US phone system.

Caller hung up when I answered.  I called the number and someone pushed a bunch of buttons and hung up.   I called back, and voice mail was full, call back later.

I got the same message and "866" number to call, apparently they are calling the DC area now to find some new targets.  It's a "Travel Club" located in TX that tries to high-pressure you to sign up for "big discount" vacations that cost 2-3x what you can find on Expedia, etc.  Lots of complaints on them with the San Antonio BBB and TX Attorney General.  Hope these guys will put on a seminar somewhere near here so I can come and warn people.

Someone from this number called tonight at 9:57pm and woke up my 3 year old. I thought it was an emergency- who calls that late? I answered and no one was there. I called the number back and it said that the mailbox was full.

Left message on cell phone as Jim, can't remeber last name but did give it. Said he was looking at my entry form for a qualifying win or (finallist) with call back number. When I called back, a live person answered and did in fact answer some of my questions. However when I asked to speak to Jim, he was conviently away from the office but assured me I could call back between 9AM and 12PM. It was a spill about a chance at winning 1 new TV, dream vacation, 2500 cash and a new truck (valued at 45,000) yea right. Gonna call back to try to talk irectly to this Jim and I'm really gonna lay on the questions. How did you get a cell # that is only 2 weeks old? If I'm in the database, why do I first have to give verification of my name first instead of asking me? What debit card was used and where? Cause they said it was through a 7 month old debit card transaction. Well people, only my wife uses the debit card with her name so her cell # should have been called. Lots of other questions I have and entire conversation will be recorded and I will tell "Jim" it's being recorded.
