This scam charity calls from different numbers 3 to 4 times a day. I just keep sane by blocking every one of their numbers, & they have a lot from different area codes, all last numbers ending in 5501. These people need to be stopped & heavily fined

I live in Texas & use my AT&T call blocking all the time. I can block up to 20 numbers & it works every time. You must not live in Texas & got wrong information from someone. So turn back on that answering machine & start blocking this so very annoying charity scam.

The Caller ID showed 'Clothing Donate'.
This organization has been calling me for over a year.
The area code 713 is the Houston, TX area.
Since I don't know anyone in Houston I never answered.

After missing call, I dialed number.  Man answered and said "Charity Clothing."  Very polite.

Calling constantly. Very day 5 minutes apart. I don't pick up. No messages.

There is nobody on the line to answer. I waited until they hung up on me. They have called our number 4 times today and nobody ever answers.

Texas doesn't allow you to block calls?  Who told you that?  Costco sells a nice Panasonic cordless system that selectively blocks calls.  AT&T U-verse sells a service in Texas that blocks calls.  I have both.

scam company wanting donations.  call at least once per day and sometimes twice.  I now answer the phone when they call with F_ _ _ YOU! and they hang up.  Before that I tried to get them to stop calling me but they keep calling.

This is the Texas Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans Association.  They have offices in the major Texas cities and call from all locations.

Unfortunately, there are a few states that do not allow you to block calls and Texas is one of them.  I just turned off my answering machine.

I blocked the last number that called now they are calling from a different number so I will block it.  I don't have clothing to donate nor would I ever donate to what is obviously a fund raiser type number that keeps 90% and gives 10% to the charity.  It has to be that since 713 is not even near my city.  I talked to them the first time and said no now they continue to call.

"you are a telemarketer, and I don't do business with any company that uses telemarketing as a form of advertising" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it).  And do not answer name unavailable ever as calls are now starting to say that often.

Let me explain my idea of robo calls. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers more to copy and paste to)

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, don't answer unknown calls, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  Its alot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller, and making my own excel spreadsheet of numbers) but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.

They have called me numerous times on my cell phone but they do not reach me because I have Norton Mobil Security on my phone. One of the options with this program is Call Blocking! Where my cell phone company cannot block calls, Norton can.

Calls twice a day, never leaves a message. I'm not sure why a charity from Houston wants clothing donations from someone all the way in Dallas. They probably ask for donations via credit card.

If you want your number removed then you need to answer when they call.

Just ask them to remove your number from their automated calling device.

Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't.
