Also posted as Billy(above).  I am a shill.  You notice that as Billy I used the french spelling of check (cheque).  That's because I'm probably in the French Caribbean or French West Indies.  Somewhere off shore so that I can scam you and get away from authorities more easily.  I also use free online translators so that's why my grammar is often suspect.  Anyway, be sure to check with your own government's sites such as https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection before you give money to any low life such as me.

I got a call from this same lady yesterday and today...making the same claims, only that I was going to be arrested and have 2 felony check fraud charges placed on me. I would go to jail with a $35,000 bond, unless I agreed to pay $1726.45 today. From yesterday, into today, the amount has decreased and "she is trying to help me/work with me". So Annoyed, anything come about? Since its been a few days.

IF you received a call from these people, the best this is to hear them out. IF the company that you called is indeed a scam the only thing you have to do is NOT PAY, most likely the calls will stop ad you can go on with your life. Also check out Spoof, where you are able to change your number when you call in their office. Have fun , give it a try, there's nothing to loose

No company name but she was from the felony fraud check division (oooookay). And if I don't call her back by 4 today she's going that have an arrest warrant placed against my name drivers license and ssn.
For me it's a new month with more useless threats. I'm not calling back as everything she says is a classic sign of a scam.
