This Ellis Merritt just contacted us and he now works with a company called premium received still out of California. Was a straight up jerk has been calling my wife's job threatens to have constables come serve us all kinds of bad things.

Juan left me two messages in my answering machine so I got curious & call back then the person who answered the phone only said, " This is John", but didn't identified the name of his company, so I asked him where was I calling & he said Diaz & Associate then I told him, sorry I got a wrong # then he said, "oh no, are you returning my call?" I said yes i'm returning a call but I thought it was the Toyota dealer then he asked me if he had left a ref.#, which he did by the way, but I told him that I didn't remember & said gb.
After I hung up decided to research Diaz & Associate and what I the reviews that I found were very negative, it doesn't sound like someone I would trust.

A man calling himself John Lizarrga  from Diez and associates called looking for a realative but had the wrong last name .Stated that it was about a complaint made and he  sounded as if he was a Lawyer.
Very strange . I'm gald I found this web site .

I received two calls while I was away on a business trip from this number. The caller identified himself only as "John", gave no company affiliation, and asked that I call back and reference #41305. The same message was left twice a few days apart. It all smells fishy to me. I didn't call back.

That Jogn Lazaraga guy just called my job and spoke the head person in charge. I wonder how he even got my work number. Also, I've been looking for their website and could not find anything but complaints. Why didn't he call me first? Something is fishy.

I got a call from John too.  He said I owe money on a credit card from awhile ago.  He was so rude to me, I couldn't even respond to him.  Everyone should watch out for John.

Just got a call from these people,  looking for my mother.  She died in 2007 and never lived with me.

I received a letter from Diaz stating I owed $30000.00 from a credit card debt to a bank I have never used.  I called the Nebraska Attorney Generals office and told them what I received and the lady said "yes, it IS a scam.  You can either throw the letter away or forward it to our office". I forwarded that letter to the Nebraska Attorney Generals office.  They called me and said they werent sure this was a scam but were sending me a complaint form to fill out and mail back and then they could investigate.  I told them I googled "Diaz & Associates Scam" and couldnt believe what I was reading.  I have filled out their form and am now waiting to hear from them.

I returned a call to Victor at this number regarding my mother.  When he answered, he said he had already talked to her BR attorney and learned she had died recently.  Then he instructed me to send him a copy of her death certificate.  When I said I would not be doing that, and suggested he could that from internet  or his own sources himself, he became abusive and asked why I was so defensive when I had her POA.  I advised that my POA expired with Mom's death, and he did not end the call nicely.  He was loudly agressive toward the end, yelling at me to hang up the phone.  
Very angry and very suspicious I'm thinking.

Well I agree with the shill on one point - you can't believe everything you read on the internet, starting with the above shill post!

Is it standard practice amongst ersatz debt collectors to post the same message over and over again, just like they call people over and over again?  If so, I don't think it is having the effect you intended.

i got a call from 877-544-2728  ext 164 a john lizarago with Diaz and Associates these guys were threatening to have some papers sent to me at work i disregarded their calls thinking it was a scam after reading these posts on the internet and low and behold i was served at work to appear in court i never showed and NOW my wages are being garnished i should have called and worked out some sort of arrangement i called after to see if we could set up some sort of payment plan but they would not work with me they said i already was getting garnished and it was too late...it looks like you cant believe everything you read on the internet!!

filed a civil suit against me, never knew who the creditor was or is, never got the court summons. I am not
at this address very often.

got a call from diaz and a**. a bob wells. called from 714-263-7171 said he had a complaint filed against (name withheld) this person is a friend of mine but my number is in no way linked to her. do not know how he got my number. the call back number was 877-544-2728 ext. 171.  and he gave a file number. have not called back and will not after finding this site. thank you all very much

It's still going on in 2012. this guy, Victor from Diaz and Associates called me said I owes credit card debt. I did not pick up the phone the 1st time. I researched the Internet and found tons of imformation about this firm. when he called back the second time, i played along with him. I asked him to email me the account numbers. he sounded very nervrous. Most likely he is a new hire by this firm. He gave me his email address and hang up. He then emailed me whole bunch of fictituous credit card number. I emailed him back and pretty much told him to take a hike.

FEW MINUTES AGO I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE FAMOUS "DIAZ AND ASSOCIATES" TELLING ME THAT THEY HAVE A VOICEMAIL FROM MY HOUSE NUMBER. THE GUY SAID HIS NAME IS JOHN; BUT HE ASKED ME IF I CALLED TO EDUARDO SARDINAS. I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT.  AFTER I SAW THESE COMMENTS I CALLED HIM BACK AND SAID EXTORSIONIST ;SO I;M THINKING CALL THE POLICE. THANKS FOR ALL THESE COMMENTS. GOD BLESS U!!!

They called me at work and talked to my manager! I don't know how they got my information but I need help stoping these scam artists!

I received a call from them today stating they had a complaint against me and refer to a file number. First of all, I would like to say they couldn't have possibly gotten my number legally as I do not give it out. Second, I have no recent debts. And furthermore, when you call back, it is a recording.

Just got a call from Jerry and Diaz Associates wanted my step daughter and said that he needed to contact her that she had left my number and address for her contact. I would not give him any information. The guy was a jerk. I told him to not call here again and to remove my number and he siad he couldn't that the supervisor Victor Diaz could only remove this, I told him that I needed to talk to him. He told me that he was in a meeting. I told him I would call back tomorrow. This place has called here before. Th number they call from 1-714-263-7173.

That's VERY interesting. How could you have possible lost a lawsuit to a "company" that isn't a licensed collection agency in ANY state?

Its an actual company from reading these post are thought it was a sacm too but nope.. I had a judgement against me & everything.. So i would take this serious before wages start being garnished

yea im getting the same calls and the things is i paid this rude incompetent people and victor diaz is still harassing me an at my work place that can cause me to lose my job..

This person has been calling for days  Finally on ans. machine asked  for me by name.  I returned the call and he was very rude.  Told me this was a contact number for someone I have never heard of.  I have had this # for 6 years.asked him not to call again and he yelled at me not to be so rude
