Heavy accented man. Probably Indian. Told me he was an attorney for merchant law firm. Number: 714-927-4099. Said he'd place a warrant out for my arrest if I didnt go to CVS or Wal-Mart for some green card and put the money on there to send it to him. He knew some of my personal info but f****d up in some areas. Refused to send me any kind of legal documents or emails. I never received and kind of notice or warnings. Once I told him to f*** off and that this was a scam, the calls stopped. His "name" was Jason Fletcher. But with that heavy accent, he was obviously lying.

I received a phone call at my place of employment from Michael Smith at Grace Merchant Law Office, phone number (714) 888-4221.  He had a very heavy accent, barely understandable.  He said he was calling regardig "Cash America".  I hung up on him as the phone call was breaking up.  I called the number back and a "Jacob" answered the phone also with a very heavy accent.  Ironically the initial caller who had called at my place of employment began making threats after I had already answered the "Law Offices of--------".  I am going to be checking into filing a complaint witht eh state bar association!

These guys are a piece of work. Sounds like they use the same tatic on everyone. They call and say they are from Merchant Grace Law Office  address 601 E Chapman Ste 114 Fullerton Ca. phone # is 714-888-4221. They say you are being arrested for not paying a loa and you are going to be taken to you job in handcuffs so your job will know and then to jail and then straight to the court hous in front of the judge and sentenced to a year and a half in jail. They call you a criminal and being charge with 3 counts. First there was a lady who called and left a message saying I was being arrested in2 hrs. So I called to see what this was about and they started their scam.

Calls up to 6 time a day. Will not leave a message. Jerks...

This same guy for the pass several months with a foreign accent who goes by the name of Attorney Mark Reid and other names as well has been calling me on my cell and is now calling me at work. Several months ago he told me I owed money to a Loan Company and I asked him WHO!  I called the company and received an email from them stating I did not owe them anything and have not had any business transactions with their company.  Since then I have ignored his calls.  This time since he is now calling me at work I asked him for his company information and told him I'll be checking his company out and to stop calling me at work.  Hopefully This Nonsense Will Stop!!

I got a call from Merchant Grace Law Firm as well, but they  called me from this number 714-882-1910. Said the exact same things as everyone else mention but went by the name of Paul Martin.. His number also comes up sometimes as 911, that's how everything started with me, by answering the 911 call on my cell..

I get these calls daily. They do not ask me for money I don't let it get that far. I get officer black from Travis county sherrif in Texas which I called no such officer anywhere near that area.  My calls consist of them saying they want to come to my house and rape me in handcuffs even my 14 year old was subject to a call.  I filed a report with my local police if they get enough law agencies involved.they can take the case to the us Marshalls.

i get the same thing they say i got a loan from quick cash and did not pay them back and that i will be arrested.  what do i do to get rid of these people?

My husband started getting calls last night from these people. They even threatened my family. The phone number is not hte same but very similar. He told my father that he is from merchant law firm.
He said I took out a loan from quickcash which I never did. I fought with him on the phone and told him to take me to court. He said I was going to be arrested at 9 tomorrow morning. What a load of s***! Do not fall for this scam and do not send these people money!!!!!!!! It might be a good idea to get fraud protection on your cards.

They called today and left me a message saying the same thing! Talking about being scared.Has anyone actually been arrested?

I keep receiving phone calls from a 1-714-276-6091 claiming to be a Merchant Grace Law firm.  This person has my information, banking, home and social security number.  He uses the name Frank Martin and he has a heavy accent and you cannot understand what is being said.

I just got a call from this "law office" too, freaked me right out. I wouldn't repeat any of my personal information on the supposed "recorded line" and he was getting mad at me. I have received payday loans in the past but all are paid back, and he insisted that I didn't pay this company back. They told me the Sheriff's office will be at my door Monday morning serving me papers and taking me into custody. The # that called me was 714-276-6091. When I asked for his callback number so I could contact my own attorney he insisted I'd be "wasting legal fees" and could just resolve this by paying over $1000 to them now to "settle."

I got this call today sayinghe was robert jackson and i would be arrest 2morrow morning at 9am...he claimed to be Robert Jackson..........

Its 4 pm right now and I've gotten 8 calls today from Merchant Grace, theyve been calling my job as well, the number is (714-400-0504) and before even confirming my identity they read off my social, DL number and address...they said I owed $1092 without even telling me where this so called loan stemmed from...they told me that the sheriff was to contact me and some one claiming to be from the sheriffs office called from a number 1911...they said I was going to get arrested and to be home...I called my local sheriff's office and nothing...I talked to "Mary Thompson", "Marshall Bruce" and "Jeffrey Adams"

I got this call as well. A thick accented male using the last four of my ss number to verify who I was and referring to me as a "prime suspect". Said I owed money that I never even attempted to pay back.  He said they deposited funds into my account, I closed the account and they were unable to collect there funds.  He claimed they he was Attorney Robert Jackson from the Merchant Grace Law Firm.  He said he had the Sheriff standing by to speak with me.  I said certainly, I would love to talk with the SO.  He put me on hold and never came back to the line.Life is difficult enough without this kind of unecessary crap!!!

I was called by this freaking guy today and he even called my work! They said I was a criminal on 3 counts of fraud and owed them counting legal fees 5 some odd thousand dollars! Talking about getting your blood pressure up!!! I could not understand a word the guy was saying and proceeded to ask if there waas someone else I could talk too to understand these allegations against me! This damn fool proceeded to tell me the sherriff is on the line and to be careful what i said! It really was unbelieveable and scary to think that these type of people try these things! This person called me with a very thick accent basically threatening me saying that I've committed a crime and my attorney needs to call him back.

I have gotten several calls from this number. I can't understand a word this guy is saying but yet he claims to be an attorney. When I called back and asked what this was regarding, he could not tell me what it was. This guy is very freaky and I will not give any info out to him. I would like to know what I need to know to get rid of him. I am tired of him harrassing me at work and on my cell phone.

I am very concerned they have my personal info. I never received money from quick cash and they refused to give me any info and told me an officer would be at my house to serve papers for court the very next day. Noone showed up. It's very frustrating.

Been getting calls like this all week claiming they are calling from different Law firms! When I get the name of the law firm the firm always tells me that this is fraud and don't answer any question from them. They have called me stating they are calling from Chase Bank which is a lie, John "Jack" Morrison Law Firm which is a real estate attorney who I called and they are investigating now, Sheriffs Office in Texas but calling from a California number....The list goes on and on! Please don't give these people any information at all! SCAM!!!!!!!!!!

Remember folks, whether or not you took out a loan... not paying it is NOT a criminal offense, its civil and the police will not get involved.

When they threaten to have you arrested, tell them you'd be more than happy to talk to the police. They wont know how to react! If they dont hang up on you right off, continue on to say that you'd be happy to talk to the police about this person's threats, harrassment and breaking of US laws (if they claim to be an officer of the law, which is VERY illegal).

Ten bucks says they'll hang up before you finish.


If they continue to call, grab yourself a cheap whistle or airhorn and when you confirm its them, blast the phone. If they havent hung up on you right away, wait for them to try and start talking again, then blast them again. They should stop bothering you rather quickly.

Yes, i got a call from this number at 3:38 pm today they claimed to be from Merchant Grace Law Firm
and said his name was Kevin Parker or Harper (not sure he had a really heavy accent). He said i was a criminal and that i owed money to a company that i didnt owe to and that i was also out of options that i would be arrested tommorow morning.He wouldnt tell me anything other than i was a criminal and that " his client" Quick Cash Services no longer wanted anything to do with me and they want nothing more then to see me behind bars!!!  He said was being charged with violation of federal banking,collateral check fraud, and theft by deception,he also told me that i would spend 6 months in jail and have to pay around $5000 in fines!!!
This number showed up on my cell phone that it was calling for Anahiem, CA. They have my checking acct #, the routing number to it and my email address!!!
I tried getting the address to the law firm he was calling from and it sure did take him a while and all he gave me was "236 North Harvard Blvd" before I got hung up on...I called him right back and thats when he proceeded to tell me that he had already given it to me and the HE didnt have time to talk to me....What a f******* JOKE!!!!

I asked him who he was and he said "I'll tell you everything I know about you when you confirm your ss"  I refused to confirm anything with this idiot. He then supposedly transferred me to another heavy accented male who started the same fiasco over again. He kept referring to me as the "prime suspect" I told him that wasn't even proper english and until he got it right wasn't going to be bothered. I hung up on them 3 times. Twice they called back, the third time they didn't bother. The guy said he was Atty John Smith and when I asked for a phone number he gave me 714-400-0565. anyone else know who these idiots are.. ??
