Received a call from 714-924-411 and heard a similar message about my VISA debit card being temporarily suspended.
Hung up -- it clearly had nothing to do with me. But called the number back in the hope I could rip somebody a new one. Fast talker answered, saying "Thank you for calling Household Relief, please enter the extension of the person you want to reach." As soon as you enter a number the call disconnects -- any number -- even "0" for an operator. If you simply wait on hold you will also be disconnected after about 30 seconds.

Told me my card would no longer be valid unless I entered 1 and verified. I hung up, just received another call.

It has come to our attention that someone or some company is fraudulently using our phone number to "fish" for consumer's credit card numbers. We are posting on this blog to make it known that we are in no way shape or form involved in this activity. It seems as though someone is using highly sophisticated calling software to mimic our local phone numbers. If you hear this message again please DO NOT enter in any kind of information.
Thank you,
HouseHoldRelief Management

Got a call from this number late (east coast time)... knowing no one in Calif., did not answer. No message, no id. Glad I checked here first before calling back. Husband got 2 calls, also... about a local credit union (to which we do not belong).

I have been getting calls from several different numbers about an unintelligible federal credit union about a debit card. How do we report this?

Just got an automated call from this number telling me that I needed to press #1 to update my debit card information at the local credit union bank. I do not have an account at that bank but called them to tell them and they said they were aware of this scam and were currently working with the police on this issue. Do not know the company calling just know they weren't who they said they were.

Called early. No message left. Dialed the number back and the recording said "Thanks for calling Household Relief. Please enter the extension of the representative you wish to speak to."
