Just got a missed call from this number.

I received a call from 714-551-9738 at 1:16PM on February 28, 2011. No message was left.

They always call, but leave no message.  It's sad that they can get an iPod number.

Continual phone calls.  No vm.  They won't stop

They keep calling my phone and telling me they got these walmart gift cards for me. They want my debit card number or my credit card number. Yeah okay I'll get right on that. lmao.

I do not want anymore phone calls from this number.

call my cell -- this is one of a number of numbers I have logged for WCA and its kind.  They never leave me a message. Not only do numbers get recycled (both landline and cell numbers) but computer robocallers are set to start with one number and go through a series changing one or two numbers as they get through the list -- starting with one like 111-111-1111 and then on to 111-111-1112, and so on. It doesn't know or care if one just got a number or are on the do not call list. It just follows its program.  Thanks for all those who leave a post.  It helps those of us who are looking for info.

This number called me many times saying it was from WCA, blah blah...Just hung up when I heard WCA. I did not know how they obtained my phone number. Such a scam.

I think this is from Facebook and the fact they allowed your numbers to be accessed by the applications...thus sold to the highest bidder.

Please understand there are no "new" numbers. The number you just got is likely a number someone traded in for a "new" number just to get away from the scam calls that you are now receiving.

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. I have called them 4x and asked off their list and I still get the calls every day.

I just changed my phone number YESTERDAYIII Not that I wanted to, it's actually quite inconvenient, however,  I was receiving a scam calls that originated from Kingston, Jamaica! They said all I had to do was mail $399 cash so I could receive my sweepstakes prize of cash and new Mercedes Benz. They were calling upwards of 20 times per day, Every day!  Now THIS!!! I have not listed my number on any website, etc.  I called 2 family members with new number, Period! I am Furious!

They wanted me to redeem my Visa shopping gift card. They have been calling my cell phone daily and it is driving me nuts.

just received a call from this number.. they did leave a message but i called the number back before i listened to the message.. i got a recording that said they were sorry the missed my call but they were offering two $25 Wal-Mart gift cards.. after i hung up i checked my voice mail.. the message asked if i wanted a brand new laptop computer..i called the number back to make sure i got the caller company right and received a different message.. this one recognized my phone number, told me when i was subscribed and gave me 5 options.. 1 - $100 Wal-Mart gift card to try a weight loss package, 2 - $20 Target gift card for joining a discount shopping club, 3 - vacation, 4 - precription drug coverage and 5 - cancel.. i pressed 5, followed the directions and the message said to allow 7 days to be removed from their program.. guess we'll see if i get anymore calls after a week.
