That is awesome advice!  So simple yet I didn't think of it.  I am a Realtor as well and get soooo many solicitations.  At some point enough is enough.   This one in particular is relentless.

Advaned access does  websites for  various real estate  companies..  they may be trying to upgrade your service or sell you a new web service....

They are they are selling a website placement/SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Scam....
Claim to be a Google Certified Company and claim to be able to Guarantee your website will appear in the top ten results for specific key words in a google search......  If you are getting a phone call from these folks, you likely have a website.   I say they are scamers, because they want you to pay money for something they claim to be able to guaruntee, but which they can not... and of course, once they have your money good luck. SCAM.

Now, here is the fun part!!!
Most of you say they are calling your cell phone.... okay...do what I do.

(1.) Create a new contact in your address list named IGNORE THIS CALL.
(2.) For that specific contact, change the ringtone to SILENT.
(3.) Assign the phone numbers of telemarketers to this contact.
    (or even the number of any annoying callers you don't want to talk with.)

So far I have over 17 numbers assigned under IGNORE THIS CALL without a problem. however if there is a limit, I will just start over as IGNORE, or IGNORE 2, IGNORE  3, etc.

Anyway, these folks have called about 6 times since last Thursday and I only answered the 1st call, (infact, don't usually know they called again untl I see them show as a missed call.)   On their 1st call, ask them to put me on their DNC list (fact is this phone is already listed on DNC.gov  and I also talked with these same people last year and ask they DNC, so they are violators and I now have a record of each incoming violation as I report to FTC.).

Funny, nobody ever said START so why should we have to say STOP?

It makes no sense to me that a realtor doesnt understand telemarketing..It's kind of like an open house for our product...we dont harass anybody.. you stay stop...well stop.. it really is your loss.

Answer it!!!! Then let them know you are not interested and they won't call you. If you just ignore it or or tell them to call you back as a joke to get them off the phone, then they will continue to call you. We are not trying to harass you we are just trying to do our job.

I have to say I'm more than a bit boggled at why you would have even found this site if you were not doing exactly the same thing which is to quote you;

Come on now Liz, tell us were you just doing the same thing OR are you doing a little recon work for Advanced Access?????

If it's the latter, you need to let them know that many of us don't have a problem with an "OCCASIONAL" telemarketing call, but an on going battery of calls is rediculious.

After the first call I hit redial (dumb dumb) and got their answering system identifying them as Advanced Access which annoyed me.  Since I never talked with them and they failed to leave a message, I will leave the call type as unknown, but it seems an obvious Telemarketing call. Over the past week they've continued calling my "cell phone number" but they will never get me from this number:  

NOTE: I place all unwanted caller numbers in my phones address book under IGNORE and have the Ring Tone To SILENT for all the phone numbers I associate with IGNORE,

This works great for the repeat offenders.

For years Advanced Access was the top company for real estate agent websites and many of their sites remain as #1 for the gold standard "[your city] real estate" search.  I did tons of research when looking for a web site provider and did that search for towns and cities across the country. No other company has as many of the top positions.

They've had trouble over the years - after the founders sold the company things seemed rocky for a while.  But in my city and many others AA sites are still at the top of the heap.  

Again - answer the phone.  Going online to search for that mysterious someone that - stop - OMG - CALLED your phone - is insane.  Reminds me of the freaks that call me back when I dial a wrong number.  Get a grip

I'm a Realtor too...interesting that these bozos don't understand their number is now on everyone's 'do not answer' list!!!!!!!!!

6 calls this morning!!  Even if these people had a great service I wouldn't use them as their telephone activity is harrassment

My wife, a realtor, died in 2009.  Her personal cell phone is now used by the family.  Frequent calls come from 714-685-5120.  Occasionally I answered, explained that the realtor is dead, and requested that the calls be discontinued.  The caller seems not to understand the meaning of the word "dead" and rudely hangs up immediately.  The calls continue.

My wife, a realtor, died in 2009.  Her personal cell phone is now used by the family.  At first, I answered calls from this number and explained that the realtor is dead, so please discontinue the calls.  The caller makes minimal response and hangs up as if she does not understand the meaning of the word "dead."  The calls continue.

Several calls on both cell and office phones during the day.
Message is never left.
