I actually owed a company $14,000.00.  A business debt from when we had a bad spell.  Neal Verducci collected every dime from me and then NEVER paid the debt.   He is a lying scumbag piece of s***.

Parker Elliott the fakest company ever!!! DO NOT GO THERE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME NOR GAS TO GO TO AN INTERVIEW. You walk in and you will be greeted by the receptionist.  Than a guy named Steve Corrall is going to come out of the room and call your name and take you in his office.  He is than going to explain to you in mumbo jumbo words about the jobs, which is sales cold calling b***s***.  He is going to go over the compensation plan and focus on the numbers.  If you close our this x amount of deals your commision is x amount.  They call up companies and sell them these b***s*** quantum reports to help companies collection departments.  The only x amount of deals you will get are 1 to slim to none.  The people there smell and they are these drop out college kids, and the manager Dustin Smith and Robert and Katrina all sleep with one another.  And the back stabbing is horrendous, everyone smokes so prepare to be walking out of there smelling like a bar. They say there corporate office is in Newport Beach, its just a storage room they use an address. haha  Immediately Steve will hire you and offer you to come to training for two days and if you miss it you owe 1000 bucks.  hahaha ya right trust me they have no means to collect and wont because there training is a joke.  His name is Grant or something, and he looks like Shaggy from Scooby Doo. All there sales are ran off scripts that just f****ng kill me to death and there supposed 500 fortune clientel is what will make you laugh the hardest hahaha. Trust me stay away from this b***s*** company.  Oh and Elizabeth there Junior Recruiter is this fat white trash who smokes all damn day who couldnt spell DUMB if she wanted to. Trust me I know because I tried this s****ole out for a week, not to mention there paychecks bounce. To readers: You are welcome.

Got the initial call then scheduled the online/phone interview/meeting. It clearly states this is a sales/marketing position. I have managed a sub-prime auto loan company and have cone some collecting. I have read the entire negative and some positive posted here. In my case, I have some collection background so I know how it works. However, most of the postings here seem to be from people that never really interviewed. I normally would not defend a company I don't know but I do have some questions for the stone throwers.

If you are employed right now, do you think your company will last forever and never experience financial hardship?

Do all collection companies suck?

Think about what your company does and does it market and sell products or services?

Is there not one negative aspect about your employer or every potential employer? Some employers actually expect employees to work.

Were you getting paid your worth at your last job?

What qualifies the whistle blower to blow?

How many employers expect you to work for them after they train you? I do agree, if the $1,000.00 penalty is correct, it does sound very strong. If there is such a policy, I will make sure it is legitimate and with exceptions.

I posted my resume on Monster because I need income. For the last four years I have been a handyman. Prior to those years managed a small finance company. I am also 58 so getting work is a little harder.

Please don't warn me about this company but I would really be grateful for a best wishes Tim, or an, "I will say a prayer for you Tim and for all the folks that need work".

LOL - yup, here we go again. All of these message boards are the same when it comes to these collection / loan shark / multi-level-marketing firms of dubious character. There's tons of complaints about these companies (because yes, they're crooked) and then people who work for them will come along and post praise while insulting the naysayers. Praise is fine, but why the insults? Simple: because they're trying in vain to discredit and cloud the truth, which is indicative of anyone who'd willingly choose to work there. It's another "tell a lie often enough, and it'll be seen as truth" philosophy, and we all know which regime during WWII used that one. Don't waste your time with this company.

I recently viewed your resume posted on Monster and was quite impressed!

I would like for you to attend an Interview Webinar with our firm to see if you may be interested in a career with Parker Elliott.

Despite today's uncertain economy, our firm is growing at a rapid pace and is hiring versus firing.

In the 90?s there was the tech boom, and the early part of this decade it was the real-estate boom.  Now it is the collection industry boom!

We offer very competitive performance based hourly rates that will be discussed in great detail during your Interview Webinar.

Job Description:

Basically, we provide you with an exhaustive list of companies that have annual sales ranging from 5 million to several billion.  We also provide you with the key officers of the corporation, along with critical notes to help you extract delinquent business accounts to be placed for collections with our firm.  You do not collect the accounts you place, we provide you with a staff of extremely talented attorneys, and collection agents that will be doing all the collection work for you.

Your job is strictly sales and marketing.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me using the information provided below.  Thank you for your consideration.

This same type of situation happened to me this morning, being that I was contacted by Al Jackson. My background has nothing to do with this "type" of work as well, therefore I do believe I will not be joining this webinar interview. I appreciate everyone providing me with enough information here to realize I do not want any part of this.

Megan called me this morning at 7:48 to tell me she had seen my résumé on Monster.com. I was driving at the moment, so she said I could call her back. After I parked safely and returned the call that was on my caller ID, I got a voicemail for a man named Michael, who did not give a company name. It seemed more like a personal outgoing message than a business message. Very odd.

I left a message. Megan called me back in two minutes. I told her about the outgoing message from Michael, and she said she doesn't know how that happened, but they just got new phones.

Her only question for me was whether I could work from 7 am to 4 pm.

I asked what Parker Elliott did. She said they try to help businesses that are going bankrupt, so they can pay off their debts and remain in business. I told her that it sounds like financial work, and my background has nothing to do with finance. She said she is not the one who screens résumés, and maybe someone made a mistake, and am I interested in full time work anyway?

She said the interview is an webinar online interview, and asked if I was available at 9:15, 11:15 or 1:15 tomorrow. I would need an internet connection and a phone, to call in to the conference call. The interviewer will speak for about 45 minutes, then take questions. Megan will send me an invitation in email.

a girl called me from this number. It is weird that she didn't mention anything, just directly ask me if I could work from 7:00am to 17:00pm! I really dislike this kind of unprofessional call, so just turn it down.  I HATE this kind of cold call and bothering people always.

I received a call from this number on September 10. A man named Al Jackson left me a voice mail message, saying he's from Parker-Elliott, saw my resume on Monster.com, and left a different number to call him back (714 855 1653). I tried researching this company and read the reviews here, and I'm not sure if I want to call back.

Yeah I got a call from that number and the ID said Parker Elliot. They found my resume and wanted to know if I was still looking for Full-Time Work. I stopped answering calls from people who found my info from Monster.com because last 3 have been telemarketing and financial scamming companies. Beward people.

you are all ridiculous...the job is a sales job..period your selling to companies...you have a script your first few weeks so you get the jist of what your supposed to say. people come and go because its not for them.. the pay..its based on what you can prove your first couple weeks. basically your 1st week is training then you try and get as many sales as you can and then your pay is set that week. were not a scam because in the interview its all gone over. and for those of you who worked here and you have negative things to say that isnt our fault you didnt understand the circumstances before YOU signed the contract. I think all of you guys are funny..thats why you dont have jobs your too busy playing on here!! and as for the f rating..were a collection company helllloo if you owe money and people start callling you then you would have nothing nice to say about them either. duh!! and please go on bbb and look up all companies with an f rating...and tell me youll never eat at mcdonalds again..they have an F
