it doesn't sound like you do know about deregulation BC ur utility doesn't own the power. They have to go to the open market every month and purchase it penny For penny..anything that affects the open market such as the huge storm u just had..the utility is affected as well..these suppliers..which Hess does have gas stations but they also supply electricity to several utilities..in fact their thee largest in new York..new jersey.. Are going to the SAME open market as ur utility.only difference is they buy n BULK. Ur utility cannot by law do that. U can NEVER change ur utility unless u move out of their area. So UR UTILITY would still read ur meters. Deliever ur electricity. Still BILL u ur one bill.. U just have an option to choose one of UR UTILITIES suppliers. Same electricity but do u want increases or the same rate every month?hmm no brainer

Just received a call from this number. I didn't pick it up. Let it go voicemail. They left a message claiming to be Hess Small Business Services and wanted to talk about our energy bill. Annoying!!

This number called me and said they were an energy assistance program. I am registered with the DO NOT CALL CENTER.  This is unacceptable. I do not want their calls. Please someone do something. I had to yell at the woman because she kept running her  mouth. I told her never to call this number again. Please close this company down with their massive calls. They refuse to pay attention.

this number has been calling my phone 3 times a day for the last week. I haven't answered, they don't leave any messages. Today I finally got fed up and answered, they hung up.  What is up with this?

Thank you for your post--it was helpful. I have this number blocked from about July of 2012,and they haven't bothered me much sense, but then I got a call again on March 12. So I guess they keep trying periodically. Interesting that they're starting up again.

I've been getting steady calls from this number. Something about an energy company. I tell them in not interested and hang up. These people wait a couple days and call again. I'm on the do not call registry. How are these people getting away with this? I'm so over these type of calls!!!!

I blow a whistle into the phone because I am beyond fed up with these and ALL jerks who make these kinds of useless phone calls.

They call me several times a day. I explained to the guy that I do not have utilities under my name. And he still calls. I usually hang up on them. Just be real nasty and they should stop calling.

next time tell them to send you stuff in writing.    yeah you get junk mail but what i do is take the return envelopes and fill with with nothing scraps of paper or what promo flyer they put in there ..  this cost them a ton of money for all the mailing that get sent back and it drives them nuts b/c their looking for the forms that are supposed to be there..   just saying..

I got a call from (716) 200-1451, (Jared at ext 9824) trying to get me to switch my utility bill to "HESS CORP." HE claimed it was the big Hess gasoline corp. I said no thanks, and hung up. He CALLED BACK TO HARASS ME MORE AT MY WORKPLACE! My husband answered the phone and JARED continued to harass HIM! (So, he got Jared's ext # to call him back.) Jared said, no I'm not going to switch your bill to this company, I'm just trying to save you some money. This guy went on and on ARGUING with my husband like a maniac, he wouldn't shut up or let my husband go. He kept refusing to admit that it was a SALES CALL, until my husband hung up on him....Well obviously he lied, because when my husband hung up on Jared and called the company back someone else (nicer) admitted it is NOT the big Hess Corp. it's just another small company named Hess, and yes they were trying to get people to switch to a different utility co. So....they are just using the big Hess Corps name to get in with people.
I get the whole deregulation of the electric companies, but that doesn't mean I want to change who I deal with. I certainly don't want someone like this handling my electric bill!!
Beware of these guys, they obviously train their telemarketers to use  illicit tactics. Who knows what they'll do once they get you to switch!!!

These idiots do not understand " NO or DO Not Call Again". Isn't this the scam Channel 4 had on last week?

they just keep calling. Oh yeah, last week I was told I was a bi*** because I requested  info to be mailed or to look on line. I have no intentions of using this service (I'm not an idiot) but I wanted further proof for the BBB and thye TV stations.

This company is relentless. Who takes care of my energy bill? Why didn't I read the info in the Nat'l Grid envelope? I tiold her I would look it on line or mail info, she called me a bi*** and hung up. Today another idiot called. Isn't this the scam Channel 4 was talking about?

Have received at least 5 calls from this number over the last month. The Caller-ID says Buffalo. Interesting that they might be from a utility company, because I've also been getting numerous calls from "Accent Energy" and then when I  finally blocked that, from "Agway Energy." (I do not answer these calls, and so far, they've never left a message.) Will see what happens when I block Agway.

Called this number back since they were on the caller Id and got a woman who says "Customer Service", doesn't announce what company she is from, and says "3 f-ing minutes", and then nothing.
