These morons have been calling my BF for almost a year; sometimes blowing up his phone 8 or 9 times a day. He has no debts outstanding, he's never had a bill in his name or has ever had a pay day loan of any kind. He has no exes to ring up bills on him, he's also never been the victim of ID theft and has a very unusual name. We KNOW that whatever they're babbling about isn't true. We've reported them to our AG in Washington state, we also know they've never sent a single piece of paper to him either.

These people are total frauds.

I have told these dolts repeatedly, this is not where this Jeffrey guy resides. Don't know him. Don't want to know him and for the love of God, do some homework. All they have to do is Google the number they are calling, that would be me, and they would see what my name is. Sad. Pitiful. Pathetic. Good luck collecting junk debt by calling people who have nothing to do with the clown you're looking for. I am going on YEARS of these idiots calling me ever since I moved here. Live calls. Robo calls. 8:00 am. 8:00 pm. No wonder these people are left to do such work... they have the I.Q. of a doorknob. If you do some research on NCW, you will see they are a bit more than "shady". After trying to convey to these jerks I am not who they are looking for for years, I have had moments of being fed up with them (like now) and filed the useless DNC report as well as the FTC. You see how much they have helped me. Good luck getting these people to realize that people, who just might owe money, may provide false information, leaving us that pay our bills, to deal with this garbage. Enough already. These idiots are not actually debt collectors they are "debt buyers" they are not actually licensed to collect debt for companies so what they actually do is buy the debt from the collection companies then turn around and harass the people because they're not covered under the same laws as collection agencies. I think dateline did a whole story on it.

They are debit collectors sometimes handle payday loans that default so they ref bad checks

I keep getting a call from this number (716-684-9616) and I call it back first of all; its automated and who they are calling I don't know. They leave a message on my v-mail to call 877-274-1450 to which I've called back to let them know the person they are calling this isn't their number nor do I know them. Well all I get is an automated message & to hold to which no one picks up & the call disconnects. It's bull**** & I'm sick of this company calling me. I've even called the 'rep' who left a message on my phone to stop calling because the person I don't know & they have the wrong number. I have NEVER spoken to a live person. And whoever they are they are so damn aggressive with the phone calls & when I answer only an automated voice speaks. REALLY!?!

This company is apparently an illegal collection agency from NY who leave messages with threats such as "I give you an hour and ten minutes to call your counsel or the debt will be doubled.  They even call off their cell phone (I researched the number) right after calling from the NCW landline.
A so called "investigator" Cora lied about having a shouting match on the phone which was a TOTAL LIE.

I got a call from this 716 area code. I NEVER answer any calls from an area code that I do not recognize!  From experience, I know that these type of calls are either collection agencies or telemarketers.  I just click the OFF button to stop the phone ring; then later go to Google to find out who it was.  My phone number was previously owned by someone named Anna Kovacs and I get collector calls for her on my phone periodically for the last 3 years.

NCW called twice leaving a message that I must call immediately. I called back today and am still shaking from the rude treatment. First of all, they were looking for my ex-husband's ex-wife, this has happened with other collection agencies in the past. I have simply told them she has NEVER had this number, nor has she ever lived in MY home, they have usually been polite. This creep I got today started yelling at me when I tried to tell him I wasn't Holly and was tired of these calls. He wouldn't even let me talk, screamed over me that if having a phone was the worst thing in my life, I should get over it. I am still shaking. No one should be harassed like this in their own home.

ive gotten the same thing,they are in for a surprise,mr.dunn called me and threated to have me arrested and the funny part is i work for sheriff's office whn he said he had someone there to go to my house and arrest me. i was at the sheriff's office so try again mr. dunn my recorder is always on and have u guys on there several times..

NCW said they were calling about a criminal issue.  The were actually calling about an old payday loan.  The agent... "Investigator Ferguson", claimed to be sending over someone to arrest me immediately.  I contacted an attorney, who told me they were making illegal threats.  I have filed a complaint with the AG office in Texas.

713 is Harris County.  I live in Montgomery County, right next to Harris, and I just got a call from his exact number... did you ever find out if that was legit??

i recieved a few calls from an Otis rieley on my cell he always calls me private he leaves a voice mail saying he has legal documents that he is trying to get to me and that they have tried my home address which is really my parents address someone is always at my parents house and they said no one has ever come by looking for me. on the voice mail he gives out all kinds of number that i guess is suppose to be case numbers or document numbers,then he leaves a number to a company called acs. and today i recieved a call from a thomas roper saying they went by my parents address and no one was there and that my court date will pass and judgement will be placed against me again they called private, and left a number for the same company acs. has any one gotten a call from a  thomas roper

I didn't receive any communication from this company but my brother did.  He received two very nasty voice mail's stating they were looking for me, threatening court, and going so far as to leave the court case number.  I have sent a letter to them demanding they cease any communication and advising by using illegal tactics they have negated any bill I may owe.  I also filed a complaint with the FTC and my state AG.

I have received numerous calls each time from a different person claiming to be an Officer Smith and are filing an action against me for a debt owed. I called the number they gave four times over a week and always got voice mail during business hours but voice mail is full and cannot leave a message. I finally got through and everytime i tried to explain i am NOT the person they are trying to reach, they have a wrong telephone number or wrong name, he refused to listen and kept talking over me with a threatening tone indicating they deal with people like me all the time and I have to prove to them I am not the right person. They claimed to have filed a lien against my property.  The awful part is they have my address and credit information yet I am not the person they are trying to reach. He hung up on me and said I would be arrested. An hour later I got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they 'comin get me to 'rest me, pay now' from the same place. Freaks of nature. I now have to file a complaint of fraud, intimidation, and lying. They have stolen my credit info.

I received a blocked number call about 9:15pm and didnt pick it up.  When I checked the message they said court filing scheduled for 1/21/11 in Providence county, with a case number.  When i called back just got a recording.  But I am going through a child support battle right now and they are looking for the father.  So they told me that they will call me when they arrest him to go to court.  Well here I am thinking I got to call out of work because Im thinking its for child support.  I would have been pissed if I would have missed a day.  Thank god for the internet.  What should I do now?  I live in RI.

They are NOT a licensed collection company in the state of Colorado and break every law in the book. If they call you, call the Attonery General in your state and see if they are licensed, If they are not, they cannot collect!

Yes the number i recieved a call from was 716-200-4705 he stated it was a matter of keeping me out of court in harris county. FRAUD they also had quit a bit of my information.

Ignore them. I also received a call from Anthony Smith that also stated he was charging me with uttering a bad check accress state lines. If I did not pay them (a debt I do not owe) they would be serving me in the next afternoon. I explained to him that I was a Law Enforcement Officer and was not easily intimidated. I said if he can not send me a validation letter and or proof of being licensed to collect in my state, he can Kiss My U know what? Then I called hima few other choice words and that he was a $ 5.00 an hour punk... and he hung up. I have not heard from them since. I did file a complaint with their NY state attorneys generals office.
It is a big scam. Place a caller reject block on their number to your phone.

I also got a call from this "investigator Smith" he claimed he was filing a civil case against me which included a claim against me for fraud. On a second note, i also have been getting calls from a person named Otis Riley who stated they serve papers for civil cases in my town. The courthouse he mentioned he was from, and where the case was filed does not even process Civil Cases. They not only act like attorneys, but they impersonate court officials. I have also had a call from someone names Miss Elms, who will leave a harsh message, "im leaving this message, and you can call me back by tomorrow, but you probably dont care because you havent called back my colleagues for a month".

I wouldnt worry too much about it to be honest with you, because they have been saying how they are on the way to my house, and i have been waiting 2-3 weeks with no one at my door. Yes the messages they leave continue to get more and more legal as time goes on, but all im waiting for is for these morons to sue me, and im filing a general denial and keeping all my ammo i have against them.

Its one thing to debt collect, but impersonation, and threatening is another story.

I just got a call from an Investigator Smith from national Credit Works threatening to file a suit against me for an outstanding debt.  He was rude, belligerent and quite scary.

What can I do about this?

Who is using this number and why do they claim to have a court case pending for a 360.00 debt. They only want the payment secured by going to walmart and sending them a money order.  Are they legitimate or is this some kind of fraud ?
