File fraud with your bank asap and the local LE. It will take a few day's probably to get this through. Close the account and get a new one.   If these losers have any of your personal information such as your social security number, date of birth or drivers license make sure you register with identity protection notify the credit agencies as well as your banks!!

Your entitled to a free credit report once a year by law from all three credit credit bureaus  also.

You cannot be arrested for owing a debt BTW.. its a civil matter, not criminal.

I received a call from a guy named joseph Prescott today telling me that I was being charged with a felony fraud charge from an unpaid payday loan two years ago. and that my friends in the background needed to shut up b/c they were just going to make it harder on me. said that I owed $1000 dollars and when I told him I didn't have that much money he asked how much my paycheck was today and I told him $571 and so then he put me on hold and then came back on the line and said that they would settle for $501.46 and that if I paid it by debit card over the phone that he would call the police and tell them not to arrest me and it would be settled. needless to say I don't have a criminal record and was scared and didn't know what to do so I went ahead and paid the money. he said his office was in NY and that after I paid the money he was going to send me something in an email for me to sign. he got my money and I never got an email of anything. I gave the number to my step mom and she called and talked to him and without him having my consent he gave her all my information and talked with her about this. the police told me that this sounded like a scam to them! now im out of my whole paycheck and this guy has my ss number (which he knew already when he called me) and my dob and my jobs number and address. so guess if its scam like everyone says he will continue to screw me over b/c he has all my info
