I have been receiving the same calls.  Officer Richard Johnson also called me yesterday about 15 times within an hour stating this was a legal matter involving my social security number.  I did a search on the number and found amazingly enough there are many people receiving the same call from pretty much the same man.  After reading everyone's posts i decided to ask his badge number, which was not 203, it was 115 coincidently the same as his extension.  He then placed me on hold when I informed him I had contacted the County Attorney here and the local police department.  His supervisor, I believe I understood it to be Officer Bell, the accent was extremely heavy, informed me of 5 charges brought against me and how we could resolve this without having to have the charges pressed.  I asked him what are these charges and who are the complaintants, i was informed it was Cash Advance USA, I have no payday loans, I have applied but never recieved any.  I then told the "officer" i would like him to fax me the papers on the charges and the documents concerning this matter, he told me he could not do this for confidentiality reasons?  When I told him I reported this number as a scam to the County Attorney and the local police department he informed me I would need a lawyer to recieve this paperwork and I  have 30 minutes before he pushes to file and would call me back--its been over hour and no phone calls!

Okay, for starters... you cant be arrested for not paying a loan. Your credit will take a massive hit, but you canNOT be arrested. These are scare tatics.

Demand that he send everything in writing and that you will no longer be dealing with him over the phone from this point on. If he refuses to send you paper work, he isnt legit.

Also, call the company you ACTUALLY owe the money to and talk to them. Chances are, they're going to tell you its a scam. So long as you're paying the money to the person you owe, you're fine.

I've been receiving calls from this number from a so-called, "Officer Richard Johnson" of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations in Pennsylvania.  I wonder if he realizes that impersonating a police officer is a crime punishable by jail time.  Hmmm...  Anyway, he said there were serious charges against me and my social security number and that my SS# has been placed on hold by the government.  So I talked to him today (after he called my place of employment last night and harassed one of my co-workers).  First thing I asked was what the charges were.  He didn't say.  I asked for his badge number.  He said 203.  When I asked again about the charges, he said he would have to transfer me.  I was put on hold while listening to, INDIAN MUSIC!!!  Twang twang, doing ding...  Mmmm.  After about 5 minutes, I called him back and called him on his claim.  He sharply informed me that I would be arrested in 30 minutes for these charges.  I told him that for impersonating an officer, he would be arrested first and that I don't believe him.  He hung up.

That was over an hour ago and I am NOT writing this from jail!  Lol!  On the contrary, I just completed an email to the PA Attorney General, reporting that someone was impersonating an officer from their BCI and that I have the voicemail recording of him doing so and the number from which he called.

So, we'll see what happens.  We don't have to take this sitting down!  :D

We have been getting the same calls from this number. You need to check your credit for any information they might have tried to post on there. Then you can report the number to your States attorney and they should investigate them. You have the right to know what the debt is in wirting on paper through the mail. DO NOT fall for the email scam, they will make a fake bill and send it to you. It is a scam, so please do not worry about it. If they try to threaten you go to the police and give them the info.  Also i do not know you but if you have done a payday loan and have paid it back then call the company to make sure the debt is final and paid in full. They really just want to get a reaction from you and try to scare you so you will fall for the scam and pay them the money. I wish you good luck.

Debt Collector
I had 2 messages left on my WORK phone this morning. They said that I have an unpaid pay day loan, and they are needing me to call back because they were going to send the police to my home address. When I called an Indian woman answered and I requested ext 141, she put me on hold and then the SAME LADY answered. I'm like.."um didn't I just talk to you??" She said she had to give me to her supervisor who would give me the full info. he said that I went online and had a pay day loan paid to my checking account. (he had the last 4 digits of my bank acct#!) He said that I had the $ deposited into my account, and that I never paid it back. That he was with the Federal Investigation dept, and that my social security number has been placed on hold by the Federal Gov. If I don't try to settle out of court, they were going to have police sent to my house at 9am to arrest me.  I HAVE NEVER NOT PAID A PDL!! I found out that when you do apply online for a PDL, the fine print says they can sell your information to anyone they want. These people have my home address, my social, and my bank account!! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!!???
