I just got a call from them today. .He claim my computer was sending out and it was downloading virus and that no virus program can detect them and I told him if a virus program an malware program does not detect it and it wont go away I will just wipe it clean and start over. . they know because my computer sent out my telephone number LOL.. Damm I did not know a computer sent out my telephone. number. I told him I have a lot of cets and I am a IT professional did not matter to him. I just got fed up with him.
he said from expert wizards and nothing come up on google about that company. So what ever LOL
I do not know any technical company calling you to inform you that you have a issue and your computer is infected. Maybe they call to return a call that you made to them, but not first contact.

Steve called claiming he was from windows support, but he did not work for Microsoft. He siad my computer was logging all kinds of errors which were slowing it down. If he could get into my computer to see that, then why would he need to call me to gain access to my computer? Gave me some pcguru website and this phone number. Obviously, a computer repair scam.

They called this morning claiming to be Microsoft. They said "my computer was downloading viruses" which is not normal jargon. I smelled BS, I mean Microsoft does not call endusers! Asked for their number and found it here at whocallsme while I still had them on the phone. I asked and was passed to a supervisor. I told him I was recording the call and he hung up.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the past two weeks, almost every day, and sometimes twice a day. The same drill as in previous posts, they want me to get online so they can show me my problem with "Windows". They have an accent, don't know if it is Indian or Latino.

We are genuine.

Tonight we had the same call. I was told to log into a website which would give them access to my computer so they could fix the problems. That threw me off since I had previously asked for verification that they were indeed calling from windows. The "tech" continued to talk over me... I hung up and they immediately called back. Not one, two but four times! All without a valid number showing on our caller id. My husband finally answered and asked for a manager. They refused and after my husband asked several times for a call back #. We tried 5 times before finally getting an answer. "George" answered and refused a company name. Instead he said he was calling from an IT company... (No name) Avoid this call at all costs.... Just another scam to steal your identity.

I've gotten at least 2 calls in the last week from this number, always the same guy on the other end claiming to be a certified technician from Microsoft and telling me my computer is sending "signals and errors" to their "global servers". He stressed he wasn't a local technician, but a global one (as if that would carry more weight with me).
Hung up the first time as soon as he claimed to be a certified Microsoft technician but could barely speak understandable English.
Talked a bit the second time, long enough to get this number from him: 718-414-6518 which he gave to me so I could call and verify he was legit. LOL Yeah, right, more like so I can call the accomplice he has set up to answer the phone who will also claim they are legit. Came here to check on the phone number instead. ;)
Told him I wanted him to quit calling me. He hassled me about it, asking me why I would want them to quit calling, they want to inform me of the error messages and signals. Finally got tired of the dance and just hung up on him again. Totally wrong feel to the call, wouldn't trust them with a thing. Please, if you aren't that computer savvy, don't freak out that they actually know something that's wrong with your computer. They don't, it's a scam. Hang up with impunity!

These scammers are calling me continually. The caller, when asked, identifies himself by various names--Gary, Jerry, Michael. They say that they are with Microsoft Windows.Today it was Charlie. He has an East Indian accent and says that he is a certified Windows technician and that my computer is giving serious error messages indicating that it has a virus.
Today, Charlie wanted me to turn on my computer so that he can take care of the problems. I asked if there was a charge. He said it depended on how bad the problems were starting at $50.00. When I asked for a call back number and the name of his company, he told me OS Technicians at 718-414-6518. (caller ID only said unknown name, unknown number). Sometimes the caller ID reads unknown name
000-000-0000. I will continue reporting these creeps.

This phone # sold me a computer fix for viruses & I haven't been able to use my computer since, I think they hacked it..I'm not happy.

Such a scam, Charlie kept telling me he was from Microsoft and I had a virus. I asked him which PC and he told me ALL OF THEM, but could not tell me how many I had. Funny as he did have my wife's name and email address and told me my ISP gave it to him, which is crap as the internet is in my name. The phone was in her name up till about 4 months ago, now both internet and phone are in my name. I asked if I could call him back and he gave me 718-414-6518 to call back on and found a few people that have been scammed by them and they have stolen people's Identity's. I called back and the guy that answered the phone did not know who Charlie was and said they are not with Microsoft, but an IT assistance company called OS Advisors, he told me promptly my number was taken off the list and I would not receive anymore calls......

Received a call from this number. Claimed he was from Microsoft and the reason for the call was because my computer was sending signals and errors and they were calling to help me. I him can I call him back. He said sure and said he would give me his TOLL FREE number (714-414-6518) gave me this number. I asked for his where he was located. He replied, we are in New York. Then I asked him what is your name, he replied Charlie. This is the second call in about a month that I received with this type of scam.

No they aren't... They're a scam. Don't let them set up your PayPal account. And, if you have already been scammed by them, call you bank because they now have your credit card number. And, if you purchased the service contract, good luck getting service in the future. PayPal has closed them down, but I'm sure they'll resurface somewhere else.
Mark2231 2013-02-16 23:25:36 Unknown
Really??? You're posting compliments about your scam, claiming you're a legitimate business! Come on guys... You might try using reasonable grammar and spelling to look like a reasonable business.
Abbers 2013-02-16 23:22:19 Unknown
PayPal has shut you down. It's just not cool to scam older folks. Pick on someone your own size.
Abbers 2013-02-16 23:20:26 Unknown
718 414 6518 called, claiming my computer was hit by a virus that was recently in the press. To pay for the service of cleaning up my computer, they set up a PayPal account for me and charged $229 for a 2 year service agreement.
When I told my family about the incident, comfortable with the story, so they called PayPal who immediately recognized the scam, said they had seen it before and shut down their ability to scam anyone else through PayPal, at least, with their current information.
Obviously, I've had my credit card account closed, too.
Be careful out there. We know cyber land is filled with bad guys, but, we still don't always recognize them when they call. PayPal is one of the good guys. They immediately refunded the $229 and walked us through everything we need to do to get this computer cleaned up

This number is routed from International Scammers who want to get into your system and steal your identity. These are dangerous people. Please report them anywhere and everywhere. I got their number from them. The "Indian sounding" IT proffessional gave it to me and was actually candid enough to admit he was not in the United States.

Jim, the same call to me from John Wilson just came to me and sounded bogus. He wanted me to go to www.loginmein123.com to fix what was signaled to Windows from my computer. Something about bad files. It sounded totally suspect so I didn't do it. When I declined to go online, he wanted me to press Windows tab + "r" .. which I didn't do. I Googled the phone number and found this blog. Glad I was smart enough to avoid potential problems. Probably hackers....right?
Jim 2012-08-16 18:22:55 Unknown
One of my employees received a call from a person named Zhan Wilson, or John Wilson, claiming that her "Word was sending out signals". She stopped the call right there and asked me to call them back, as I run our I.S. department.
Not too surprisingly, when I called them and they learned that I am an I.S. professional, suddently "Mr. Wilson" was unable to talk to me at that time.
I don't know the exact nature of the scam, since I stopped it before it got off the ground, but I am sure this "company" is one to stay away from. In addition, the person I spoke with would not even identify the company he works for.
If they call you, please feel free to hang up on them in mid-sentence.
