My wife got a call from this number today and He was asking for me by name, He then said that he knew me from AZ, a state we used to live in, and he had to much work and wanted to give me some. She gave him my cell number thinking that he was a friend of mine. He called me and acted as though I knew him. I told him that I didnt remember him and he proceeded to tell me that he was a supplyer for construction materials and he had a surpluss of left over materails from last year. He tried to sell me some products that I didnt need. I told him I didnt want to buy anything, especially over the phone, from Arizona. He kept persisting for me to purchase something from him. I finally told him that I would not by anything from him, he said "not even from an old friend?". I told him "I dont know you!!!" and "take me off your list" and he immediately hung up.   I am not done looking into this

The phone rang today with 718 451-4408 showing on caller ID. When I picked up and said "Hello" there was no response.

I was called by this number and the gentleman asked for my boss by name like he knew him, when I asked who was calling and told him that he was not available he then asked for my bosses cell phone number. I told him that I was not at liberty to give that to him and asked again who was calling. He said he would catch him later and he hung up. I know the call is coming out of queens new york. When I dialed it back the number is disconnected.

Oh I remember his name. He called himself "Chuck"

Man called, (can't recall his name) from number 718-451-4408 New York. Asked for someone w/my husband's name. I said huh? he asked to speak w/a man w/my husband's name again. I asked who this was. he said his name, as though I should have known it. I said __ who? he asked if this was __insert name of company__ I said no. I said that he could leave a message, he asked when my husband would be back. I said again he could leave a message. He said no thanks. and said bye.

The thing is that the name of the company was the name of a company that my Father-in-law had a while ago that he no longer has. AND my husband has the same first name as his father.

I have caller ID and don't answer calls from anyone I don't recognize. This is a nice service provided by this site. After reading what others have said I'm glad I didn't answer!

Got a call from a man at this number. He asked for my husband by name. I told him he wasn't in and asked if I could take a message. He said "OK" then hung up.

What's the scam here????  Why when I call this number back it is out of service...But I have received several phone calls from this number & claimed they knew me from NM...Someone needs to investigate these people.

Man, giving his name as Montgomery Jenkins with Montgomery Plumbing, called asking for my husband by his first name and insisted to our secretary that he must speak with my husband.  When she explained repeatedly that he wasn't here, he persisted.  She transferred the phonecall to me.  I gave him my name and he responded "Is that supposed to mean something to me?" I explained that I ran the company not my husband.  He then said "You do!"  I responded "Yes".  He then asked "Do you know a good buy(goodby) when you hear one?"  Then he hung up!   I googled the number on the caller ID and came up with the same as everyone else it appears.  Not sure what this all means but thought I'd add my story.

Got a call from man who claimed we were good buddies. Harrassed me that we knew each other. When I confronted him as to what he was selling...he started back peddling. I told him the business he was contacting and attempting to sell was a "bogus" company formed for tax evasion purposes only.
If you call this number back, it goes to voicemail under the name of Wanda.

Man stating that his name was Brian Webb asked for my husband by name. He was insistant that I give him my husband's cell number. I didn't and asked instead for his information and where he was calling from. Instead of giving me that information, he said three times that he'd try back later. I googled the phone number and it said that it is owned by Lee Hazzard. We don't know these people.
