its not best buy, and if you gave your card number out you might want to cancel your card
J. Brown 2013-08-22 20:27:46 Unknown
It was a phishing scam. I actually have an account with them for cell phone insurance however, the message asked for me by my maiden name. I knew immediately it was a scam. But, it was actually time for me to update some info with them, so I called my local best buy where I purchased the phones and the directed to the REAL people that needed my info.
Troy 2013-08-22 20:20:22 Unknown
I just got my phone and they are calling me and I didn't even get my phone from there ....should I answer it?
Joe 2013-08-21 22:27:40 Unknown

This number is to the Best Buy Phone Insurance Company. They contract with Authorized Cell Phone Dealers and have a plan that usually runs about $16.95 a month. I know because I bought the insurance when I got an Iphone and decided to cancel it later because it was so expensive. Not a scam just a bill collector. If you didnt sign up for insurance on your phone you may want to contact the original store where you purchased your phone and talk to them first. Ask if you purchased the insurance and get the direct number from them if you are leery about calling the 720-208-2064 number.
SammiR 2013-08-07 15:16:53 Unknown
This is a scam, we have received numerous calls about a Cell Phone what we never purchased from Best Buy let alone a plan for it. If you gave out your info to them YOU HAVE COMPROMISED you credit card. I would suggest you check with Best Buy personally before believing that they would use a recording to get this info from you. Good Luck. I contacted Best Buy and they said they have have multiple complaints and are currently investigating this number and the hackers behind it. Their security has been breeched.

Isn't medical marijuana an amazing thing? Especially when you use the entire prescription in just one evening.

I have a gut feeling that it's the person who's been hacking into my phone the last few months. My Nexus 4 that I've had for 3/4 months somehow switched its serial number to where the serial doesn't even match the box, I've got a different platform which is the latest one out, a root was installed, configured permissions where one traces and records my touch, snapshots every fee minutes, LTE is always on edge network and finding files where everything is wrapped or has a binder. Since they monitor and record everything. I was in the middle of my boyfriend wanting to SQLinjections on them again and just sending them a virus that would wipe/fry mine, but for sure fry theirs. I happened to just click on a tutorial on how to check who's been hacking your computer or phone. And that's when a women who sounded like an older Filipino women called at damm near 11pm in CA from 12/1am in Thornton, CO it seemed so strange how long and hestitent it took her to tell me hello and longer to say oh wrong number. so I did a reverse lookup on her number, AT&T Wireless and found it funny how her GPS showed that she's using the same cell tower as my hacker.

Its geek squad calling to update your card info for your protection plan, most likely on your cell phone
Tif 2013-05-30 22:21:53 Unknown
This is Best Buy Geek Squad. If you bought an electronic device from them and have their insurance plan....this is what they are calling about. My voice mail said I could go to monthlybilling.geeksquad.com to update billing or call 866-501-9287. My debit card had expired and they needed updated drafting instructions. Good thing they called I wouldn't want to loose the insurance plan.
Meghan 2013-05-23 16:13:19 Unknown
It's Best Buy....but I made sure to call Best Buy's official number. My credit card had expired, I had just updated it online and a call from this number, I kept saying I had already updated my information and they didn't need to call me and the lady just kept asking for my name, so I hung up and called the Geek Squad number on my confirmation email. So, I'm not sure if it's legit best buy or not...just call the geek squad number best buy gives you....I did have a hold on my account because of a missed payment due to the expired credit card.

I have received several calls from this number with an automated message stating it is regarding changes in my monthly best buy account, if I am ****** ******, press 1, if not press 2. I simply hang up because yes I am ****** ****** but I do not and have never had a Best Buy account. This is obviously a phishing scam.
smitty 2013-03-29 13:29:20 Unknown
720-208-2064 is a call from varolii corp, calling for best buys, to tell you your credit card is expired and you no longer have insurance on your phone...and you need to update asap, either over the phone or go to best buy.com.
Not a scam 2013-03-20 02:23:28 Unknown
Warranty agency for Best Buy Cell Phone etc. purchased our Apple iPhone and monthly insurance. Our card number has changed since then. Call back number: 866-501-9287 or Geeksquad monthly billing online.

If this is a Best Buy phone number, when I called them the customer service person could not help me with what they wanted also had 20+ names on my verizon account which simply was not true. Called the Braintree store where I bought my phone last year. Store manager Howard Danforth plans to research this call.
Jeff 2013-02-19 13:57:35 Unknown
Chaz - did BB remove your number from the collection agency? I'm getting these calls now. What a RIP OFF!! Tnx Jeff

This is from Best Buy. It's regarding insurance you picked up for your cell phone or some other electronic device. The actual call back number is 866-501-9287. The Colorado number is the central office of their insurance carrier company.
skywarpnc 2013-02-12 17:05:56 Debt Collector
It's best buy, and it's legit, its for the different phone carriers insurance such as verizon, or alltell, or spirit since best buy handles the majority of the cell phone carriers insurance on their phones.
Sonny 2012-12-04 02:13:02 Unknown
I have no Idea who these people are but I never answer call I do not know.
I pickup and hang up. But what gets me is they are calling late at night.

It's definately a scam!!!!!!
I just received not only a call, but a text, from supposedly Best buy about my phone insurance, 1 month old, and they needed an update. NOT. I called Best Buy, they stated that they would not make those kinds of calls, and to report it to the authorities. FYI - the phone and insurance I bought at Best Buy, on my Best Buy account, and I still have insurance covering it (again, a real Best Buy Customer Service rep. checked my account).
If anyone has given info to the caller at 7202082064, BEWARE! You may have compromised your credit!
Jaspar 2012-09-09 16:48:01 Unknown
DONT GET BURNT!! This someone phishing for your personal info posing as best buy. If your concerned that best buy is actually calling you, use the number from your statement to contact BEST BUY.
Everything is not a scam 2012-09-01 18:06:05 Unknown
Its for best buy phone insurance, they need to update credit card when expiration date expires
SERIOUSLY? 2012-05-17 00:33:13 Unknown
RECEIVED 2 CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER. THEY ARE ASKING US TO CALL BECAUSE THEY NEED US TO UPDATE INFORMATION FOR OUR MONTHLY BEST BUY ACCOUNT. WE HAVE NEVER HAD MONTHLY ACCOUNT WITH BEST BUY. NOT PLANNING ON CALLING BACK.
With1l 2012-05-05 19:44:56 Unknown
They called me..... It is for cell phone insurance coverage that you probably purchased thru best buy
robbi 2012-05-02 17:49:12 Unknown
You probably bought something at best buy and purchased an Insurance for it. I have my cell phone insurance through Best Buy because it's a much better deal than Sprint! So i'm calling back to replace my old cc #.
Angela Williams 2012-04-18 14:59:17 Unknown
No reason to phone me - do not phone my number again - take me off your call list or my number.
Jay 2012-03-19 04:20:39 Event Reminder
It's not a scam! If you have best buy protection plan on something (most likely a cell phone) and your credit card declines, expires, etc,. They call, mail, and email you so you can update your information. If you don't feel safe doing it over the phone, you can go to best buy's website and do it on a secure page, like I did. Otherwise after 15 days they cancel your coverage.

Sounds like bullsh** dot com to me. Received a call claiming to Best Buy and I declined insurance for my phone. They tried to bill my card which luckily was no longer valid and, therefore, declined. They wanted to know if my card was lost or stolen and were telling me my "account" needed to be updated. I will be going into to the store this weekend to find out about this so-called Best Buy Retrieval Center!

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read BELOW
I got a call from this number and stated that the CC number they had on file had been declined. I called the number back and they stated that they did not have a CC number on file for me and would need a new one so that my protection plan would be covered. I asked if I could just go to Best Buy and take care of this and the agent stated "NO" they can not help you with this issue. I hung up and called 1800-best-buy and they stated that they all my info was correct and on file and there was no issues.
THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
