Century Link reseller..... They call and hang up on you.......

They keep calling and ask to find out who is in charge of the Century Link account, then I tell them Idk.  They ask for a name I say Idk, ask for a better time I tell them friday, then they call back the same day, been going on for 6+ months.

Called and hung up.

Is this actually Century Link or a phisher?

These guys used to call my business phone number now they are calling on my cellphone.

Yep, they called my landline.  I used *69 then called them on my cell phone.  They then called right back on my landline.

Said they are century link but then they aren't .... Asked them to stop calling.   Then they called right back

They keep calling claiming they are with ceturylink and need to talk with the owner about the phone service. First giveaway it's fake, they would have the owners name when they call. Number blocked problem solved until they switch numbers again.

Not really CenturyLink. It's a scammer reseller looking to move people from Centurylink.  They are very careful not to say they are CenturyLink.  I called them back at the number, got a guy who cheerfully answered "It's a great day at CenturLink!"  I asked, "Is this really CenturyLink?"....He disconnected the call.

They called my office line which rang to my mobile.  Two rings then I answered and they hung up.  Absolutely incredibly irritating!

It's a company called "CTS Communications" who is an "authorized representative" of CenturyLink --- in other words it's a SCAM... they are trying to get you to switch LL service to them.

Didn't answer. Reading the above, all I can say is that we can all hope the real CenturyLink (what a horrible name) is powerful enough and p*ssed enough to pursue these people.

The caller ID showed as Century Link.  I had just called Century Link and thought maybe they were calling me back.  When I picked up the phone, nobody was on the line.  I waited on the line and they hung up after about 20 seconds.  I'm not sure if the caller ID showed as Century Link because that was the caller's provider or if it was actually someone from Century Link calling.

This is a scam to verify that you have a working telephone number. Then a telemarketer calls to sell you phony services.

A man who is unemployed, has a wife and three kids to support walks into a 7-11 and steals a loaf of bread and a half-gallon of milk and society wants him to do 3 to 7 years in county. BUT, this type of theft goes on daily and no one cares.

This is a scam to verify that you have a working telephone number. Then a telemarketer calls to sell you phony services.

Remove from calling list.  Repeated calls, stop calling.

Same thing - 3 rings then when I answer they hang up

Same thing happened to me.  Two calls in the last two days.  I answered and no one was there.

Updated info for everyone who gets these calls from this number. The real name of the company is 360Networks Inc. The 360Networks is ran together, by the way. They are located in Seattle, Washington. They have had 5 other different names in as many years. They recently stopped using Verizon as "their" name after Verizon got a court order to stop them. So now they are using the Centurylink until Centurylink gets on the stick and stop them. This company's actual phone number is (206) 239-4360. Now next time they call, I will calmly reply, "Hey 360Networks, how is it going?"  and listen to them stammer.

They keep calling, saying they are a certified Centurylink representative. I asked them 3 times to stop lying, to tell me who they really are. Third response was the best "ummm.." This is a scam. I contacted the real Centurylink earlier today, and as Tony and Lady have stated previously, Centurylink has no idea who these people are. If I have the time, I will keep answering as they call, and keep asking them to stop lying to me and tell me who they really are. I think they will eventually get the clue and cease calling me.

Century Link.  They call, and after 2 rings they hang up.  Irritating and frustrating.

These stupid calls are from Century Link.  They hang up on me, because I am not the boss.  This is why I am talking him into going with Vonage.
