Forgot to post the phone numbers that keep calling so everyone knows who these low life do***e bags are:
720-324-4438, this one is in Aurora, Colorado - Mr. Duarte is the name used.
702-529-0732, this one is in Las Vegas, NV - Mr Duarte and Michelle are the names used.
They call literally back to back from 2 different area codes, same person, leaving the same threatening messages.  This just started about a week ago out of the blue!  This sucks. I block the numbers then they call from a rotating line and get through to my voice mail.

Someone from 2 different numbers, one a local Las Vegas number and the other a 720 area code number, keeps calling my cell phone back to back and leaving messages about Lukehart Law Firm and how it is imperative they speak with me immediately.  No other information is given ever and each time someone new calls.  I looked the information up and it comes back as Lukehart Law Firm.  I filed bankruptcy several years ago and never tried to rebuild my credit after all of these years I just pay cash.  I have no trouble opening bank accounts so I have no issues there and anything that was on my credit report I made sure I filed bankruptcy on to wipe the slate clean at that time.  I have no outstanding debts in any way at this time. Now this?  What is this scam all about anyway?  Unless I am served legally, Lukehart Law Firm can go pound sand as far as I am concerned.  I may have had money trouble in the past but I did not lose my education in law in the process.  THESE PEOPLE ARE TERRIBLE AND NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!  Why is this so damn hard to do since sooo many of us on this site apparently have been or are being harassed by these people.  Next stop....Attorney General's office and website.  Good luck everyone....I will post once I file formal complaints, which I am doing now, and get a response.  Elle

Got a call from this # tonight; tried to halt the caller and ask who it was- what they were wanting.  Guy didn't even take a breath, let alone stop- talking about a "medical alert device" that was recommended to me, and they wanted to set up delivery ?.  I hung up.  Called back- instantly got a recorded voice saying "goodbye".

Interesting, this number called me wanting to deliver my home medical alert system. He claimed it was a "help I've fallen and can't get up" type of deal. I haven't purchased anything like that. Although most oats relating to this number refer to a debt collector, my call makes m think it is more of a scam than a legit debt collector.

Actually Luna, you couldn't be more wrong and what you're saying actually sounds a little silly.  "You can only be garnished for unpaid rent."  Whatever attorney told you that got his law license on the back of a cereal box.  You can be garnished for just about any debt you owe, unless it's out of statute. Cell phones, electric bills, water bills, pay day loans, over-drafted checking accounts, credit cards, defaulted loans, student loans, and yes, unpaid rent.  So anyone reading this, please, disregard her advice.  If an agency sues you, law firm or collection agency, and they obtain a judgment against you, they can and will garnish your wages, place a lien on your home, your car, your checking account.  Anyone who told you different is totally false. TRUST ME.

Actually, by law, they can only garnish wages if it's due to unpaid rent. Otherwise, it's illegal. I talked to an attorney about this who confirmed it for me.

Good question!!  I say neither, myself. Once they start asking for the last four of your SSN#, it's time to protect your federal rights. You, by federal law, are NOT to use your SSN for anything except identity of your place in the US. Tak either works for them or someone like them. Or, he/she just wants to be an A**hole & is arrogant  and condescending to feel better about themself. Sounds like the characteristics of an atty or a debt collector to me. EVeryone owes money and things happen. Either way it's not their right to collect your personal info. You have the right to withold your personal info. And who the hell freely & willingly gives that information to someone over the phone to begin with.Legal correspondance via mail is deemed more legit in my eyes anyways.  Gee, I wish I could collect the governments debt. They owe more money than they can give.

Audra,

You have NO CLUE what you are talking about - why don't you go over the Faux Notion's hatesite or Teh Blaze and chat with the Beckerheads or go to C4P and worship Snowbilly Grifter.

If a debt is owed, MAKE THEM TAKE YOU TO COURT - THEY WILL LOSE BECAUSE THEY ARE SIMPLE COLLECTORS AND HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT WAS AND HAVE NOTHING SIGNED BY YOU.

FEWLS, simply do not answer them UNLESS you are served with papers, go to court on the assigned day and claim NO KNOWLEDGE OF A DEBT.  THEY LOSE.

Just got a call from them yesterday.  Came here to look up information.  There is NO way I have an outstanding bill.  I always pay my bills on time and in full.  I have just checked my credit report with score of 815 and nothing is outstanding so if this is a credit agency, it has to be a scam.  Thanks for the information.  When I get a call back, I will be more educated about these guys and give them no personal information.

They started out as Regent and then Jacoby and are now Lukeheart.  What I was told by a legitimate collection agency is that none of these are legit (don't know about Lukeheart b/c this is the newest name although the telephone number is the same)  I originally received a letter from Scott Druthers Law firm and they were very threatening.  What I was told was the Attorney General is after these people and all they do is change their name.  be very careful of them.

I too received a call from them.  This was after I was called by another law firm in California F. Scott Druthers who's numbers are no longer in service They threatened me and scared me so much I started paying $125 per month.  this was from a debt from US Bank when Citibank froze my account going after a debt my dead husband had incurred.  They were rude and threatening.  After paying them for several months I noticed that the company had changed to this Jacoby firm.  They started taking my money for several months, although Daryl or Darren from their firm was very nice.  Recently I had another random firm come after me threatening me with fraud.  I called US bank and they directed me to the original company that bought the dept from them which is an accredited firm.  These people told me that the Attorney General is after both the Scott Druthers firm and Jacoby for illegal practicing and have shut them down.  they keep changing the name of the firm and keep doing business.  so beware.  and if they call back let them know you know the attorney general is after them and to leave you alone.  tell them you will be happy to let the attorney general's office know they are still trying to practice

They're still at it in 2011. "Dale" with Lukeheart & Associates left a message for someone (not me) to call him back by the end of HIS (he was clear) business day which is 5:30. His number is 877.396.5046 x 1042. I will report to Colorado Attorney General's office if they continue to call.

I received a call yesterday from this number.  Did not answer it and they did not leave a message.  Answered today and got a busy signal.

I do not now, nor have I ever had any bad debt.  Whatever this is, it is a scam of some sort.  If you get a human do not give them any identifying information including your name or the last 4 of your social security number or anything else.

If you continue to get harassed by this number, contact the Colorado Attorney General's office.  You can also try the FCC.

Ignore them and never, ever give anyone who calls you all or even part of you social security number and that includes your last 4 of your social.  Don't give them any other identifying information either.  I would not even give my name.

I don't owe anyone anything and do not now nor have I ever had any bad debt.  I have had two calls from this number.  They left no message the first time and got a busy signal when I answered it the second time.  I will ignore from now on.

Same here, I owe no one and have never had any contact with this company at all.  I am assuming maybe someone gave out my cell phone as I have had it for 19 years and have had no problems and they are the ones actually running from this collector.  Who knows, people are wacky.

I just got off the phone with some jack*** wanting me to verify my ssn. Like Hell I will. When I told him that I am willing to talk to him but I would not be verifying my ssn he said that he could only speak to me once I'd verified. I then laughed and hung up.

I received a call from 720-324-4438 this afternoon.  The caller ID on my cell phone said it came from Colorado.  I didn't recognize the phone number, and I don't know anyone from Colorado, so I let it ring.  I expected the caller to leave a voicemail, but he/she didn't.  Immediately afterwards, I Googled the number and it took me to this website.  I read through the comments, and everything people were saying sounded very familiar.  These guys have been calling me for months, even though I don't have any debt!  They use different phone numbers and different names for their fictitious law firm, but they use the same wording and the same scheme.  These harrassing phone calls started a day after I applied for a job on Yahoo! HotJobs.  It was a secretarial position at an advertising agency.  There wasn't a whole lot of information about this advertising agency, so I'm pretty sure that the job posting was a fake, a ploy to collect job-hunters' information.

I just got a call from a guy who asked for  my name, and he asked me about my social...I lied and saidi NO beecause I didnt know who he was...but, it was right!
He said I owed money to Bank of America...which is a lie!!! I did switch banks, but I paid and closed that account in full! Back in 06!
He said I owed a debt, I said no! I dont have BOFA, he said, you did!
So, since that is correct he must have gotten this info from a good source who has access to both my ssn and bofa records somehow!
I told him that I have a problem with identity theft, which is true and I have a flag on my ssn record...but, I told him that was my name.
He also mentioned a law firm name but I did not really catch it...it was not Jacoby.
Anyhow, I know if you are being sued you are sent a letter so, Im not going to buy it till i see something in writing and also, I disbelive that I owe anything because I made sure I paid BofA off when I left to avoid a ding on my credit!~!!

He just called my home phone as well!!! Wow, this is scary!
