A guy saying his name is Pearson Douglas was trying to get information on a person that I had no idea who it was. He was blindly trolling for information. Watch out. He's not legit!

This guy is a scammer. Do not talk to him. He will try and steal your identity

Obviously you DO NOT know everyone's story here! We did some investigating of our own- there is NO investigation company out of Denver Colorado called "Empire Incestigations", we had the number traced and it's someone's personal cell phone number, and let me tell you- it surely DID NOT belong to a, "Pearson Douglas!!!" I know my business, and what I posted here is nothing but the truth! I have NEVER  written a check that was fraudulent or illegal- EVER! I've NEVER committed a crime- EVER!!  AND.... For the record- no "REAL" person that would be "INVESTIGATING" a crime/fraud/ect., would EVER start out a conversation with, "Are the last four numbers of your Social Security number, ####?" I call total BS on that! This man "posing" to be a private investigator is obviously nothing but a scam artist!  So, before you go running your mouth about people on here, check yourself, please and thank you!

I received a call from the same guy,saying he is an investigator whether, he is or not I don't know.After hearing him out I contacted cross checks because the Pearson guy told me they covered my check.Come to find out they did cover the check and the firm that the investigator mention did have legal liability over my check.Long story short I read the reviews on this guy and I'm still not sure but what I am sure of I did write the check he was calling about and quite honestly I thought I got away with it because I had no intention on paying it.People are quick to scream fraud but truth is if he has called you more than likely it's regarding a check that belongs to you.A month and a half after my beening contacted my x gf was contacted as well.We opened our accounts on the same day with intentions on trying to get over on a company or two.So in my case who was the fraud,people own up to your responsibility and stop trying to shift guilt.I was gonna write a bad blog on the guy but the s*** he called me about was true I was upset it caught backup with me like most of you are who are writing these post.

This number has been showing up.  I do not know what it represents. This man saying he was Pearson Douglas was looking for me. He called my son-in-law's number asking for my daughter.   My son-in-law said she wasnt there.  He then asked for me. and my son-in-law said i was his mother-in-law.  He said he was going to issue a warrant for my arrest for fraud.  My relatives were called also.   What is going on?   This is nuts.  When I call the number no one answers.  I have contacted my local police dept, Better Business Bureau.

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

The same guy called me "Pearson Douglas " saying there accusations against me.He knew my information but I was not going to discuss a matter of such without paperwork.He said he was an investigator in Denver,Co hired by a firm to locate me.First off I live in Vegas,why would an investigator from Denver be calling me ?A little after a week from receiving his call,Clark County served me with a warrant at my job for CHECK FRAUD.I like never seen the inside of a jail before,so a $48 check I wrote to Food For Less,caught me a charge!And from how it's looking i'll probably end up paying over a thousand dollars on this.Let's just pray I keep my job,that's to be determined!

I also recieved a call from this exact phone number. It was a male who called himself, "Pearson Douglas" that he was a detective from, Empire Investigations. I asked him where he was calling from, he told me Denver, Colorado. he said his company was hired by a law firm that had business with me- when asked the name of the law for. He wouldn't tell me. He said that he had questions to ask me, which would take about 10 minutes and that the phone call would be recorded. I told him that I would not be giving him any information about myself... He rudely interrupted me by asking me if the last 4 numbers of my social security were ####. I told him again, that I will not answer any questions from him, he told me that authorities would be notified and that I would be dealing with the county- he then hung up!
