I answered the call and told them I was a Federal Investigator and before I could continue my lie they hung up on me... LMAO!!! Try it next time!!!

Just received a call from a Kevin could barely hear or understand him. He said he was from a computer company. I told him that he had the wrong number and hung up

I just got the same call from the same guy... named Sam Hernandez with a heavy eastern (Indian) accent... LOL!  I went along with him for a while too... as he was telling me what to do, I wrote it down. Said my comp was sending him messages too, for the last week... HA, my computer has ben in the shop getting cleaned up and buffed! LOL

THIS NUMBER CALLED ME AT WORK. ON MY WORK LINE. SAID HIS NAME WAS MIKE AND HE WAS CALLING ABOUT MY COMPUTER. I WORK IN CENTER WITH ABOUT 15 COMPUTERS SO I ASKED WHICH ONE. HE SAID "YOUR COMPUTER" I WAS LIKE....RIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHHT....WHEN I ASKED WHERE HE WAS CALLING FROM HE SAID WASHINGTON, DC THEN SAID THAT IS WHERE THEIR HQ IS SO I ASKED AGAIN WHERE HE WAS CALLING FROM...HE STUTTERED. I HUNG UP. IF I HADN'T HAVE BEEN AT WORK I WOULD HAVE MESSED WITH HIM FOR A WHILE...

Had a call from "Sam" this morning (heavy accent) who told me he was from Microsoft and that my computer had downloaded a virus. I told him: "no it has not". He insisted it had and I told him "thanks, I'll check it out" and then I hung up. Too bad some people fall for this scam.

Same type of call happened to me this evening.

Got a call from this number today and the guy said he was going to put a virus on my computer and "blow it up"...

When I tried to called the number back, it said this number was not in service.

A person, at this number, keeps calling, telling me that he needs me to get in front of my computer to fix a security hole.  I, having had my own computer consulting business for 15 years, knew that this was a scam, right out of the gate, and I told him so.  However, not two days later, he called again!!!  This is a scam and I want any action that can be taken to be undertaken to capture this criminal.  Many others have reported the same story when I do a search on this phone number.  The number that this person called from, and he has a thick foreign accent, is 723-492-5667.  Although the number has probably been routed about ten different ways, I'm guessing that you have no way to tracing where he came from, but any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!!

REPORTING UNWANTED CALLS FROM 723-492-5667 EACH AND EVERY DAY; ONE OF TWO THINGS HAPPENS; WHEN ANSWERED NO ONE IS THERE WHEN THE # IS DISPLAYED, IMMEDIATELY ANOTHER CALL COMES IN, TELLING ME THAT MY COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH MALICIOUS SPYWARE...

A call blocker is your best bet.

Please get these numbers blocked they keep on calling my cel phone which of course I don't answer but even though I registered to do not call list I still get these nuisance calls

After receiving three calls listed on caller ID as "Out Of Area" which the caller would not speak, only hang up after I answered, I let the last call roll over to answering machine. The caller did not leave a message.  Shortly after I received a call from this number. The female caller went into a speil about being from Windows Service Center and they detected malware in my computer that was co-opting my software blah, blah, blah.  He accent was heavy, possibly Nigerian, possibly Carribean, maybe even Indian.  At different times it sounded differently.  I stopped her and told her this was impossible as I dont own a computer (lie). She said that cant be because they are getting a signal in their service center from my computer (LOL). I told her I sold my computer 2 years ago so she immediatley lost interest and hung up.  And, she was obviously reading from a script.

they have been trying to sell me drugs!! they keep asking what medications i take, so of course i dont tell them.  Or they guess a medication i am on and say then need to talk about the medication. they want to sell me cialis for my husbands miagraines... lol.. not even married.3

No voice. Just another "blank" call.

723) 492-5667 Long story short - Said they were calling from the technical team, -after keeping them on the line as long as possible, they wanted remote access to our computer and when we would give them that, they said that they could cancel windows license.  they were calling from  India and finally got frustrated with us and told us that all you U S A people are stupid and that is why we are able to scam you. all you USA people and your politicians too

THEY JUST CALLED HERE AGAIN AND TOLD THEM THE SAME THING. I KNEW IT WAS A SCAM AND TAKE ME OFF THEIR LIST.

CALLING ABOUT WINDOWS ON THE COMPUTER AGAIN, I TOLD THEM WE ALL KNEW IT WAS A SCAM AND HUNG UP.

Several calls from this number, no one answers when I pick up the phone.

Needless to say, it was a scam from a supposed Microsoft engineer calling to warn me that my computer was downloading malware and that it was infected and at risk, while I could hear the buzz of a telemarketing sweatshop. Then he said something about "Planet Online". Did not get me to touch my computer =). Crooks!!!

Just received a call from this number. I only answered it because I am waiting for a business call and wasn't sure what number the call would come in as. It was a guy with a VERY heavy accent. When I asked where he was calling from he said Texas. I LOL and said sounds more like Nigeria (I love trolling the trolls). He proceeded to tell me that my computer is sending messages to them that there is something wrong with it and he will walk me through how to fix it for free. I just continued to troll him until I told him do not call me again. Oh..and his name was Sam. LOL That was the best part. I told him..yea..you sound like a Sam. ;) They hate when you give them crap back...that's why I love to do it! He finally hung up after I was asking (trolling) too many questions.

I received a call from this number and the man said he had information about my computer. He had a heavy accent that sounded to me like he was from the middle east. I told him not to call again and take me off his calling list.

Received numerous calls from this number to my home number and cell number. They claim to be helping you with your computer.

I am 11 and this number called me and I let em talk. First they said they saw a virus infected my comp. they called before and my dad let em take over his comp. he then finally realizing it was a scam shut down the computer right in the middle of the process of downloading corrupted files. DO NOT ANSWER, DO NOT THEY WILL SCAM.

Kept asking for me.

I have gotten 3 calls from someone (a very thick accent that I barely understand) claiming to be from Windows and that they have received messages from my computer. They claim they can give me my ID # if I go to my computer, blah, blah. I have asked them to quit calling me and to take my number off their list. Have Hung Up on them

Just received this number on my lan line. Im with ATT which has the ability to block 20 listed phone numbers. Guess what, I won't get that call from that number ever again.

This time my computer is supposedly screaming that I have corrupted files to the world. I said, "Oh, you must be with the Windows team but I am running Mandriva Linux." <click>. That was easy but these A-holes are getting more pernicious with this type of scam. Number this time was 723-492-5667 on the caller ID which is just as fake as they are.

This Freaken number: 723-492-5667 called today MANY times and yet they do NOT speak when they call.

Then later in the day I got a flippen recorded message telling me to cal another number and provide all my information to them then the line went dead, this call came in 2x
