they called me as well telling me that i had a civil claim filed against me and before i got off the phone they was calling my husband phone with the same info. and i googled the info to see if this is a scam and thank God it is. I knew that i didn't owe anybody any money. my claim #GAPA-2557 so know that i know i can delete the number.

Just got a call from this nunber , asked for my mother in law which she doesn't live here. Told me that she had a injuction against her. That she had 48 hours to reply to this. In which I didn't tell him  that she doesn't live here . In which she lives out of state.

If you have call forwarding features (like on Verizon Digital Voice), than forward this jerk to 717-338-2533.  That's the FCC Director's office phone.  Maybe the FCC will finally do their job when they start getting the annoying calls.

727-231-1227 - SCAM CALLER    WHAT IS THIS CRAP?  WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?

I just got my messages from today and got one from same # on all these postings..727-231-1227.Same threats....only the claim3 I was given is UUYI2881 ...name left on answer machine TRACY JOHNSON. That I had 24 hrs to geet my atty to call them...that they were filing a restraing order on me. I called the # given and the message was for BUREAU OF SEIZURES AND INJUNCTIONS. Now, when I heard the girl's voice on my answer machine...you could distinctly hear voices in the background...plus when she finished leaving me her threats...she kept talking without realizing she was still being recorded...so to othrs who are getting these calls...THIS ARE TELEMARKETING CALLS...how do I know this?...I was a telemarketer several years back..but quit within 2 weeks because of their "CUT THROAT METHODS". Ever heard of LOAN SHARKS???These people will make threats,even if you don't owe them a penny, but they will try since they have all the info on your name...and sadly, some poor innocent ones out there will give into these calls. WORD TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE CLUELESS ....FILE COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM WITH "FTC" AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE IN THEIR STATE...IF THEY'VE CALLED AND LEFT YOU MESSAGES ON YOUR PHONE/CELL PHONE...KEEP IT TO PROVE THEY MADE THREATS AGAINST YOU... I just filed complaints on this company AND against the woman who calls herself TRACY JOHNSON.

Thats almost exactly what happened to me, we were laughing and angry...  But I actually have a voice message from the lady on my phone and I have it saved, she really does misrepresent!

I called the number back and she said, I was wanted and she was an investigator the is an affidavit fo a summons to appear. She eventually told me she was a collector for a payday loan company and I owed 500.00 from three years ago but I asked her for her to mail me something and she politly ended the conversation. n SCAM for repayment?


Subsequently I made a written complaint using the FTC website.... They scared the beeejeeesusss out of me...

Tell me if I'm wrong, but a Restraining Order is a court order intended to protect you from further harm from someone who has hurt you; to keep the abuser away from you, or to stop harassing you, or keep the abuser from the scene of the violence, which may include your home, place of work, or apartment. It is a civil order and it does not give the abuser a criminal record.  Somehow having an outstanding debt doesn't constitute that.  I suppose it is just words that will scare someone in reacting.  They've done this before and have used numerous different tactics.  They almost got me once, but the red flags came up before I did anything.  Hadn't heard from them in over a year now.

Yes this is a scam, I got the same call and these people are fake, do not believe anything they say or give them any information about yourself. They have recieved your information fraudulantly.

My mother in law and brother in law both got a call from some detective Jones who said I had a restraining order against me and that I needed to contact a lawyer. I looked up the phone number on the internet and found this, I am so glad I found this site before I called them. I called them and someone answered the phone and asked me what was my case number I immediately gave him a good california girl cuss out!!! I don't think he will call again and I will be reporting this to the FTC.

Received a call at home, person stated that he was a special investigator and I should contact my attorney. Not calling back, probably a scam.  If they call me back, i'll tell them I'm recording the call.  Will report to FTC.

I RECEIVED THIS SAME THREAT FROM THIS SAME PHONE# 727-231-1227 AND I DID REPORT IT TO THE FTC.
FTC is receiving many complaints and this will be investigated.  FTC ph is 877-382-4357 then push 3 on your ph.  You may have to wait for 5 minutes for an agent but I gave all the names, phone numbers, big number's, etc.  Or you can go online at www.ftc.gov and file the complaint.  This is all a setup trying to gather info from you.  As above no one can get a restraining order unless a complainant goes to court with the defendant to show cause and only then by a subpeona.  The judge or magistrate is the only one that can issue one.  Hope this helps.  Don't fret.

these people called my Sister and Brother-in-law last night, telling them they had a restraining order out on me and to call this number.  I called and could not speak to anyone, then I go to the website and see its a scam.

I live in Philadelphia and do not know anyone in Florida and havent been to Florida in over 25 years.

Received call from bureau of seizures and injunctions about a pay day loan I never had. They are also calling my parents house.  Told my mom that paper work would be coming to her home about this and that she should stay home to sign for this It never came. Persons name was Tracy Adams.

Got a call from Bureau of Seizures and Injuctions, Don't know who and what they are or what they want, Never heard of this organization, I suspect it's a scam designed to verify information from identity fraud using scare tactics from fictitious "Special Investigators"

They're at it again!!! -"Bureau of Seizures and Injunctions" phone #727-231-1227 located in Clearwater, Florida. Investigator Robert Jordan called to inform me that case # ZATL-1656 had been filed and I had 24-48 hours to respond before addional legal action would be taken. Also, that a restraining order had issued against me and I should contact my attorney. I knew it had to bea scam, googled it and found this site.

Went online and filed an FTC complaint and the ending message said I should contact the company for more info.
I called Investiigator Robert Jordan was busy but the call taker was happy to help me with the complaint. He said that I owed $8,691.89 for a Visa loan from Household Bank. I said that I never had a loan with Household Bank and they had never contacted me. He said they served me papers at an address that I lived at over 17 years ago.  He also gave me several peoples names that I had been associated with or had known.  These names were more current, in the last 7-8 years.

I asked him for the company address to verify it's legitamacy but he wouldn't give it.  I asked for the CEO or owner's name.  Again he refused saying that he wasn't allowed to give out that info.
I then told him I contacted the FTC and was trying to get an address for them and that I knew it was a scam.  He was very polite, said he was sorry I felt that way, and hung up.

Got a call from a Robert Jordan stating that he was an investigator and that a restraining order was
taken out on me. Ref # ghot1599 and he needed for me or my lawyer to contact him within 24-48 hrs

Caller indicated that he was a special investigator by the name of Steven Reynolds and left a message with a restraining order GATL1015. I have never heard of officers calling in for restraining orders nor have I ever had one due to minding my own business. So this call made me laugh and angry at the same time.  He didn't give the name of the company either.

I recieved several calls from this number on both my home number of  and my parents number with two differant numbers. I left work to call these people and realized it was a scam when they said my claim was from credit 1 whom I personally contacted after I got off the fone and they confirmed that I never had an account with them

These type of calls seem to be a growing trend given today's economy. Sort of a "Nigerian E-Mail Scam" on a phone. You'd be surprised what information actually is out there about YOU. Trash and & dumpster divers are REAL. Be very careful what you throw away, log into, etc. Places like this pay homeless people, foreigners, etc.  to dig for information and then sell it to any scammer that pays. It is a sad world we occupy. It sometimes pays to be paranoid.

Just got a similar call .  Callback number 727-231-1227 threatening a "restraining order and court action" so glad I checked this site.  They called both my children also.  Thinking the only place they could have gotton that info was facebook, since the last names are totally different.

Received a call that I owed 1,200.00 on a pay-day loan.  Never had one before.  These people did have my pertinent information...scary!!  Said I am being sued, and have a court date.  Turned this into the Police.

Got a call today on my track phone it was a message stating a ugene somebody had a restraining order against him and I needed to call my atturney and have them respond with in 24 to 48 houres said alot of the stuff in the rest of these posts this happened on 1/11/2012 I am glad I googled the number before I called back, I will call the authorities for sure. the call back they left was 727-231-1227 amaising they are still using the same number.

Juat got a call from a blocked number and they stated I had court order on me case # yqwk1953 his name was kevin merrit with Bureau of Seizures & Injunctions, ask for there address and phone # and told him i did not believe him and he hung up on me.. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont call # he told me to call was 727-231-1227
