This idiot claims he is an attorney and calls me constantly, demanding my social and payment over the phone. I have repeatedly informed him that if they will send me something in writing so I may investigate and do a background check on the firm and validate the debt, I would be happy to pay it. He wont calm down long enough to listen...This dude is going to die of a heart attack one day if he doesnt calm down....best thing to do is get it in writing, so everything can be verified...There is a current scam with these people claiming they are attorneys scamming people with credit issues to pay them and only making it worse....bottom feeders...

When getting a call from a debt collection agency and they are harrassing/threatening you.  Do not disclose your name.  Tell them to cease and desist calling.  Then tell them you are going to start recording the conversation.  He doesn't want you to record the conversation because the way he is talking to you is illegal.  They (collection agents) are not allowed to harrass and/or make threating remarks.  Hope that helps.

Repeatedly calling me at my work number. Told my receptionist his name was Dennis Mitchell but would not tell me what company he is calling from. Would not listen when I told him not to contact me at work. Kept demanding for me to give him my cell number. Extremely harassing, was nasty yelling at me and told me he would keep making collections calls to me every day at work and hung up.
