Just got text messages from the same number. thank you for having this posted. Had put my 55 on craigs list and this was the way i was also contacted.

Got two txt messages from this #; sent my zip code in reply, but not address, which is already posted on the CL anyway--no harm done I hope?  Asked for my "full name" in order to get shipping quote for vehicle, which didn't make sense, so didn't send that at least....but my phone # and address are out there....

Contacted me about buying my car sight unseen, wanted my name/address and I told him I will only deal locally. Then typed in his number and found this.....so glad I went with my intuition! Name on text was Mark Juan

texted me off craigslist and asked for item without seeing it. total scammer.

I rec'd a text from this number saying: "my name is mark juan Just want to ask if the posted item on CL Is still for sale?Whats The Current condition of the item?"  I am selling a vehicle...not an "item".  It seemed odd, so I called back from a landline, and the greeting said that "Debbie wasn't available."  I did not text them back or call them back from my cell phone.  We'll see what happens...

SCAM ALERT - response for Craigslist car for sale.  They are fraudulent !!  Don't fall for their line.

This person trying to pay thru PayPal. Got my item off of Craigs list. Sounds fishy to me. I told them cash only and they insist on PayPal.

Yep got a text asking about it but all of the information about the car was on there and they kept referring to it as "item". pretty obvious scam. They went from asking me questions to instantly figuring out ways to ship it without me saying anything really. what a dummy.

Thanks for your post i just got a text from this number about my truck fore sale on Crasigslist, i didn't recognize the area code so i thought id better check it out and im glad i did i found y'all so i just replied back letting them know they i found out they were a scammer i haven't heard back since THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a scam to me.  Don't reply to him.  If you think he might be legitimate insist on cash payment and pick up in person.

Yup. They tried to scam me also off of Craigslist.

Texting me of off a craigslist posting.  Wanting to purchase item site unseen, went a shipping agent, definitely a scam.
