This number calls every few days.  I finally answered, and nobody was at the other end of the line.

This number calls every day or so, and when I finally answered there was nobody on the line and it was silent.

the telemarketer (and I'm on the no-call list) pitched a company funded by the stimulus package and alternative energy companies that would send someone to my home and promise to reduce my power bills by half, and give me a $50 coupon for some restaurant.  When asked what was in it for them, they said nothing, there would be no charge for their advice, and they asked if the power company had done an assessment on my home.  I said they had and was told that whatever the power company said was just to sell more electricity, or why would they do it?  They asked all kinds of questions about the number of people living here etc., then set up an appointment.  I was called back with a confirmation number, and I asked what company this was (Conserving Energy Association), and if I might have a phone number to use in case something came up and I couldn't be here.  She assured me that the inspector would call in advance and gave me the confirmation number 782347, then confirmed that the name and address she had were correct. In another thread, from a different number, but the same company, the people stated that is was a nightmare sales pitch for solar, that took 2 hours and no $50 gift card.

Got a call from this number, but nobody was there when I picked up. St. Petersburg, FL area code.
