I got this same thing what do I do

they cant do nothing to you its all a scam, they did this to me once before and once I got on them they yelled at me in there native tongue and hung up I got this email today and I get to use my bankruptcy on them and show them how dumb they are. so don't worrie and don't fret.

I got the same letter. Super scammy, and not even a very good one. Let's break it down a bit.

Poor grammar all the way through the letter. There is no way it could be written by a native English speaker or a legal expert.

"Payday Services" is not a company. Or, at least not one of the well known names. The use of a generic term like this indicates phishing. If/when you call them, they will ask questions to get better information for their follow-up emails and calls.

There is no "United Legal Investigation Bureau". It sounds important, but it doesn't exist. It exists only in the minds of the scammers.

"If we do not hear from you within 48 hours of the date on this letter". There is no date on "this letter" in the email. They could have at least changed it to "If we do not hear from you within 48 hours of receipt of this email".

Copyright (c) 2006 ACS. Who would copyright a letter or email like this? It is supposed to be a legal document.

This is a poorly executed scam.

I just received the identical email, the due amount was $931.14 and the case file number is different but the lawsuit amount is identical!!! ($4271.15) So, has anyone else heard a word from the court after they get this email?? Should I just ignore??

I got that same email. Don't remember if I got a call from them or not. I just ignore it. If they try anything, I pay for a legal service thru my job. So I am ready. And everytime I get one of these emails or calls. I let my HR department know what's going on. I have gotten taken once. Its not going to happen again. When I got took it was some company out of New York, American Legal Services, I don't have there number anymore but they got for 700, before I knew it.

Got the email today. The first time they tried to scam me with one of these "payday loan'" scams was by phone. Scared the wits out of me! Now I always check the phone numbers by googling and find comments like the ones here. The more we comment and report these a***oles the better! Keep them from scamming others

I rec. the same email today as well, at first it totally freaked me out but after rereading it again and having someone else read it and look it up, I feel better ...thank you for having a sight to check these things out., i wonder how many others send money.

Now they harass by email. When you call them to tell them they are a scam they hang up on you and block your number.

they sent another e-mail today. they just dont give up!! the number they give you is always busy-want to give them a piece of my mind!! scammers! today is the 11 feb.

Received the same e-mail today... Amount is different from others..$902.00... I wish something could be done about this..

I received the same email today --- and i'm receiving calls on my cell and work number..  i am just so tired of all this... how can this be legal

I keep getting  emails that I am being prosecuted by the United States Attorney on some pay day loan that I never got , its a scary email until I saw how many compalints there is on line from different states.. I asked them to send me all documents via email..so I can show my lawyer and get this matter cleared up. The worst part is they told they have my IP adress , my social security number, but get this their emai is Google account..

I hope they close this scammers down

I have filed a complaint with the FBI on this email. Everyone please keep any emails that you may receive from these people because that is evidence should these scammers be caught and prosecuted.

I think Im going to give this company ACS a call and let them know that their company name is being used in a scam to try and extort money. These people are really getting ridiculous and they now trying to drag the district attorney into this and trying to seem professional in the email. Then try to use legal terms. Im so sick of these people this is why you cannot do everything online because your identity can be stolen in an instant. Im also reporting them to the FBI

these folks sent me a threating e-mail stating I owed some company money. I called them back-just for fun and they stated I took out a loan from some payday company in 2010. So I started asking questions and they hung up on me. NO NO! Called them back and the guy (forgein) said I refuse to pay and I said I am not paying anything that I dont owe. He again hung up on me. I have turned it over to the FBI since I work for the govt. They messed with the wrong person!!

i got the same email today. i knew it had to be a scam! i sent a reply that is they ever send me an email again i will forward to the proper authorities!

got the same email today i called after about three tries i finally got someone but couldnt understand him so he hung up tried another three times nothing but a busy tone 10mins later someone call me back from 661-748-0245 john something from ACS saying that i recieve a email from them but he wants my email address to verify i told i dont know who they are and that im reporting to the FBI and he said sorry for the incovinice and have a nice day

I received the exact same email as above w/ only slight diffference in amounts.  I am sending this to the FBI, FTC, and any other reporting agency that I can.  This is outrageous that these idiots are allowed to harass peope this way.

I received the exact same email, slightly different dates.  I called the # listed in the email and told them I was reporting THEM to the proper authorities and he hung up on me.  A legitimate business would not do this.

Got the email- called them and I asked where they were located and they told me 153 Broadway Street, Rochester NY. However, the phone # is from Clearwater, Florida.

Told him to take me off his mailing list and he refused hung up, I called back got a busy signal.

i had requested a loan becaus i had an emergency. the loan was for 300 but i had told them to withdra on a specific date; however, they did not honor that and i ended up with a 60 extra nsfees...then they kept harrasing me and then i tried to ask them for extension and they would want all the 300 plus now is more than 60 on top of fees...so i said  8)_)*)8=0 ..... so they send me the same stuff as some of you had received...but the quesion is...

can they really sued you in california?
if they are who they say they are, should not by now be in court already rather than spending time with people that they know they will not reply to them?
they collect so much interest from so many people....so what's the big deal losing 600 or some dollars for them...

i did a research on a company, and just so you have an idea of how much money they collect here is the breakdwon i came up with

they have a minimum of 200 request on one day
some come on a biweekly basis so that's 2x200=400x $45 fee = 18000 in a month
others twice a month 2x200=400x $45 fee = 18000

plus for those biweekly that come in with a three paycheck during a month thats another 90000 for this company...so how much money they make in a month

36000 and other times plus an extra 9000

so why are these companies so petty!!!!
