I just received a call today from an Officer Antonio and upon reverse look up this is a Magic Jack with a Verizon Fios Internet.
I have called Magic Jack and they have identified that this account is still active. Stealing identity is a criminal offense especially when they pretend to be officers of the law. I just wonder why if the account is still active and we file a complaint on Magic Jack, why cant the police officer subpoena the billing information so that they can arrest these people? The area of operation for this number is St. Petersburg Florida. I will file a lawsuit in the Florida District Attorney's office to release the billing information on this number. They cannot just be left untouched. This is way too absurd and ridiculous to be allowed. I know law enforcement is already enundated with complaints but since the account is active, it should be traceable. If a good Majority of Magic Jack is used for this purpose, there should be some liability Magic Jack have to be responsible for. I just want this people to stop. For the owner of this number, I will not stop until I will get justice for what you have done to me. You mess up with the wrong person. I will make sure you will go to jail.

This same person has been calling me but using Stephen Antonio as his name and is saying he is an officer, then calls back and says he's a sheriff, he knows all my information and is threatening me with a law suit but refuses to tell me what its for, he has a very strong ascent.. And is saying if I don't call him back he will issue a warrant for my arrest. He's calling from a Florida number. What can I do?

This number keeps calling telling me they are taking me to court, but I don't know why.  Is this a scam?

AN INDIAN MAN NAMED "MIKE JOHNSON" CALLED MY OFFICE AND LEFT A DETAILED MESSAGE. TALKING ABOUT A LAW SUIT, JAIL AND MY JOB.

I DON'T KNOW WHO THIS PEOPLE ARE, BUT THIS ARE THREATS THEY CAN NOT MAKE.

Alex Stewart with thick heavy accent called and said that my name (which is no longer my name and hasn't been for years) and SSN with the last 4 of....(NOT MY SSN)....had 3 criminal charges against them and to call before the court processed paperwork.

Um...I don't live in Florida and the state that I live in says that when collection companies or anything like that call and threaten that I have the right to sue...so I just might. (Not that I owe any collection companies that I am aware of but almost all of the other complaints said that's what this company is).

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

So funny just received another call from this number.  They are suppose to email me proof.  Like that will ever happen.  He told me that the local sheriff dept will contact me at 5:00 to find out my location and come arrest me.  OK scammers, I will be here waiting for you.  This is a very annoying joke.

I just recieved this same call under the same name.  The guy was very rude he started reading off some suppose to be affidavit and when i couldnt understand him I asked him to repeat something he yelled at me and said DIDNT I TELL YOU NOT TO INTERUPT ME.  I told them do not call this number again good bye.  it just freaks me out because he knew my social my work number and email address.  I will be sure to keep record of this number.

A friend of my husband got the call today from 727 575 9660 threatening him that he owed them money and if he didnt pay by 3pm there would be a warrant for his arrest. Too bad there is NO WAY you can get arrested for owing money! Scammers should at least learn the law if they want to try to scare someone into paying something they do not owe! DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE- DO NOT BE AFRAID!!! What they are threatening you with is not legal and will NOT happen! If you dont believe me, google the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act). It is in place to protect consumers and IT IS A FEDERAL LAW!

This same thing happend o me yesterday! at my employment at my home. very threating. havy accent. Ihate this person for messign with my employment. HELP!

I have been receiving the same calls at home and work. They knew my name, SS#, address and place of employment. He used the name David Mathews.

Scam! Can't understand his heavy accent.

This clown keeps calling me on my cell and on my job, saying nonsense about him being a lawyer and there's a lawsuit against my name. He uses David Matthews. When I told him about calling my job, he said I'm a w***e and unless I email him a picture of myself he wouldn't stop calling my job. I called the FTC and the FBI.

I get the same call 10 times a day. What can be done

Richard Morgan and Associates Law Office is using this Number.
