they get numbers from the MySafeFlorida inspection program and use that as a calling list, whether you are on the DNC list or not. Contact them to stop calling but good luck; I did and they still called. They typically ring 4 times and hang up, and they know whether you answered or not! also call using 727-754-5938

Thanks for the info.  I was awaiting report of death of a friend from this area code, so this call (which I missed) was distressing. I would never buy from a company that uses unsolicited calling.

Have received multiple calls from this number.  Never leave a message and often call several times per day.  I don't answer it because I know they are unsolicited and they are calling my cell.  No regard whatsoever for the DNC list.

hello, i keep getting calls from tropic guard and the # they are using is 727-596-7826. i have a nephew thats lives in that location and i will find out what this is all about!

Tropic Guard doing that is very wrong as they are a decent company who done our part of our hurricaine protection which included a roof and shutters and why our home owner insurance this year is 1,400 for two houses with 190k of coverage

Say thing , Except it was someone named Perry, he called asking to speak to someone by name and then hang up when they are told that the person is not home
Don't t they know about reverse dialing, pretty easy to find out who was calling, we never asked to be contacted by them

this company'Tropic Guard' keeps calling asking for a person, after I reply they are not here they hang up. every day they call and do the same thing. I found other complaints listed about this company doing this to many others too. I am on the Nat'l do not call registry, yet they fail to comply.

Stay away from using the business of any company that improperly makes annoying and harassing calls as a part of their business practice.  
another company in Fl that does this constantly is Cool Air, an airconditioning business in Ft. Myers.

Got two calls from them also.  Using the "Mysafe Florida Home" list for unsolicited sales calls.  They dont push anything, but It's pretty lame to be using a state program for your sales call list.

multiple calls rec'd from Stewart Industries... apparently also does business as TropiGuard, located in Largo, FL - 727-596-6803.  Seems pretty sleazy

Tropic Guard according to caller ID. Caller said his name was Glenn and he knew that I had a wind mitigation inspection done and wanted to sell me hurricane windows. I said my house is for sale and started to ask why they call people on the "do not call" list - Glenn hung up on me. When I try and dial the phone no. back it rings a few times then cuts me off. I'm really tired of their phone calls.

I have been receiving recorded messages 2x a day from them for the past week and off and on before that. They use various phone numbers such as 727-687-2046 and 727-596-7861 to keep calling.... sometimes they leave the recorded message and other times no message but the phone number shows on my caller id so I know it is them. Usually no name shows on caller id but once showed Tropic Guard name on caller id. Their message talks about having their free energy evaluation done to receive federal stimulus $ but they don't say who they are on message. You would have to press "1" to find out which would then transfer you to someone. I have reported them to Do Not Call Registry. From what I can see on the Internet, they have been doing these illegal repetitive calls for several years but no one has stopped them obviously.
I think when you press "5" or whatever the number was that they say to press to not receive more calls actually makes them call you more because they know that someone replied.

Got a call today from 727-596-7861. Tried to tell me that our house does not have hurricane protection.
Our number is on a "no call" list. Interesting to see how long a company can operate with such calls after so many parties complained already.

I got constant calls from this company, Tropic Guard in Lago FL. I filed a BBB complaint against them. I strongly suggest that others make BBB complaints as this telemarketing practice is disgusting. The more complaints, the lower the company's BBB rating. They deserve no less.
