A fax machine that keeps calling me.  Really annoying.

Was receving calls from the RMG Communications number 727-683-1570 at all hours of the day and night , the early morning are the worst 2:30am 4:00 am plus all other hours of the day . When you call back all you get is all lines are busy or all circuits are busy or a fast busy siginal.
As I live in Tampa Florida not far from the address given above I think I need to go there and talk to someone face to face to see what they have to say. If you guys could please send me a list of numbers to hand to them for a do not call list that will be Notorized and a copy also sent to the state . dj07dj07@hotmail.com

He, like all of us, is a victim.  TV needs visuals and that translates into victims talking on camera. The more footage he gets the better the story will be.  Help him help us.  Give him a call.  Let him interview you.  Let's get this story on the air which will motivate state and local agencies to take aggressive action. Call atleast 3x a day, last call came in a 2 am this morning. No one answers and you can't get through when you try to call them back.

I have received 30+ calls from this number starting 8/2/07 till today 9/4/07.  All hours of the day and night, all listed on my caller ID printout.  Once every couple days at first, now several times a day every day.  I called Deltacomm, and they were no help. Just told me to file a complaint with the local authorities.  I filed a complaint with the FCC online, wasn't to much to fill out, maybe it will help.  Ordered callblock from Verizon and I am praying when the feature is turned on I am able to block them.

Same thing has happened to us multiple times. The two most recent were 9-3 at 5 am and 9-4 at 3:59 am.

Getting junk faxes nearly daily from them. 8/30, 8/31, 9/3, 9/4. Reported to eFax. Time to start sending faxes and calling the companies that are using these terds.

We've received numerous calls from RMG Communications.  The last straw was early this morning 9/2 at 12:45 am.  I'm comforted to see that I'm not the only one.

I have also received calls from the same number at all hours and any day.  I contacted Deltacom as well at 1-800-239-3000 and was told that I needed to file a complaint with their legal department.  I have left a voice message for Don in the legal department.  I will update again if and when I hear back from Deltacom.

Let me explain why folks who don't have fax machines may be getting called.

About 12 years ago or so (probably longer) an outfit or two employed a WAR DIALER to call every number in every area code to see what response they could get.

It is easy to set up and deploy.  Type in an area code such as 813 and start at 0000 and end at 9999 and have the machine log all responses.  All totaly automatic - no human intervention needed.  The software knew  whether a human, computer or fax answered.  That data all went into a database which was sold to various companies such as RMG.

I picked area code 813 as it is in Florida (Tampa Bay area) and because that area is highly transient and phone numbers do not stay dormant for a year or more. Mostly they are re-assigned within 3 months due to the shortage of numbers in that area (mostly due to growth).

So you folks who may never have had a fax line but get called by the likes of RMG is due to an old data list and high turnover of phone numbers.

I have gotten about 20 calls from them since they came to Florida. But never a fax because I unplugged it. I plugged it in the other day now that these sleaze bags are in my county (vs Texas or where ever they originated out of) and I plan on getting my $500 per fax.  Last night they sent me a blank fax (damn them).  I also have the means to enforce any judgment against them immediately...and I hope I have to do that as I will have a seizure order and I will be accompanied by the Sheriff and we will grab everything in their offices which will then be sold at public auction.  Once the Sheriff recovers costs I get my award and the balance, if any, goes back to the company.

I have a bit more info to pass on but it will have to wait a week or so.

Quit calling my f****ng house at am hours RMS Communications

Recieved numerous calls day & night from 727-683-1570 & no one answers. Are they checking out to see if anyones home so they can burglarize???

I am so freaking SICK of getting calls from this number! It calls all hours of the day and night and then noone is there and it sounds like a fax machine!! Does anyone know how to get them to STOP???

Received a junk fax today- Affordable Life Insurance.  This is the same fax I used to get from "Private Number" for a long time, and from another 727 number before that.  I've been getting these for over 2 years.  I wrote the State Atty general's office in 2005 about the faxes, and they warned me not to call the number on the fax to have my number deleted as this serves only to condirm that it is an active fax number which could result in more junk faxes.

This number starts calling at 2am and doesnt stop til 4am. i'm starting to unplug my line at night so annoying. there is some one on the line but doesnt speak

The calling has not stopped from from this number.  got a call at 0215 thia AM and at 2200 2 nites ago.....

I have the same issues. Call Deltacom with the numbers listed above. You will be on hold for quite sometime but they can take care of it.

Next step is to stop by the office in Clearwater

My three annoying, early morning calls also said "RMS Communications", not RMG.When I picked up, no one was there and there was not a fax machine sound.  I am a television reporter and will put this on the air asap.

I received three early morning calls from above number at my new residential phone. When I picked up, no one answers. The caller id shows "RMS Communications." When I call the number there is either no ring tone or a busy signal or a message saying to try call again later. Very, very annoying to be awakened by these calls.

Great legwork, Merc. I moved into a new house about three weeks ago and have received several early morning calls in which the caller i.d. shows RMS Communications, with the phone number of 727-683-1570. When I pick up, no one answers. I will file complaints.

I was receiving calls all hours as well. From the previous note I saw that there phone provider is Deltacom so, I called Deltacom (1-800-239-3000) explained to them that one of their #'s keep calling me all the time at all hours of the day & night & no one is ever there & if I try to call the # back there is either a fax tone or said call cannot go through.  They said they have other #'s to get a hold of them.  They placed me on hold & came back & said they got a hold of someone there & that they would remove my #.  So everyone I suggest you call Deltacom to complain so they will call them with the #'s they have for them & remove your #.   Good Luck!!!

Received seveal calls in last few days with no one answering.  Latest call was 5 AM today

In recent weeks we have received phone calls at all hours from this number. I've reported it twice now to the FTC's Do Not File Registry, including this morning, after they called us at 5 a.m.

I've done some of the "legwork" now it up to you to take appropriate action.

727-683-1570 is RMG Communications and their physical address is 2451 McMullen Booth Road Safety Harbor, Florida.  I do not have their suite number as yet.

They currently are NOT registered with the Florida Secretary of State's Office as a Foreign Corporation nor have they paid their tax for a fictitious name. I'll be sending a notice letter to the Sec. of State's office shortly to get them in compliance.

They also have failed to acquire a business license (pay the tax) from the City of Safety Harbor.  I think they will shortly as code enforcement has been notified.

RMG's phone provider is deltacom. What a surprise!!!

Hurt them financially or otherwise and there isn't much they can do pursuant to
607.1503 of the FL statutes as they are not registered (as yet).

Got a spam fax from them????  Complain directly to the:

This is the Florida law:

365.1657  Intrastate use of facsimile machine for unsolicited advertising; prohibition; penalties; injunctive relief.--

(1)  It is unlawful for any person to use a machine that electronically transmits facsimiles of documents through connection with a telephone network to transmit within this state unsolicited advertising material for the sale of any real property, goods, or services.

(2)  The Attorney General may bring an action to impose a civil penalty and to seek injunctive relief. The civil penalty shall not exceed $500 per violation. Each transmission shall be considered a separate violation.

Plus you may sue personally (per fax) in local court.

You will be suing under federal law but the states have to absorb the costs (which they hate) so sometimes judges are less then helpful.  Just remember 2 things:
1. we ELECT judges in Florida (and they should be so reminded).
2. The federal law does NOT allow any deviation from the award amount as proscribed by law - so don't allow anything less.

Just remember, winning is one thing.  Collecting the (a) judgment is another. There are lawyers that specialize in collections. Sometimes they are necessary even if it means turning the entire judgment over to them w/o you collecting a cent - just for the satisfaction of knowing they are getting their just due.

Personally, I prefer "self-help."

Without going into details or advocating anything unlawful, I have been told an axe applied to certain cables in and around an office can work wonders - just make sure they are the correct ones.  That's a hint!!!
