keep getting these calls but nobody answers anymore because I wasn't pleasant the first time. Yes, it's a scam. If it were up to me they'd be flogged in the street for all to see.

She said National Security needed to fix a security breech on my computer.
Sounded like Indian (not American Indian).
Hung up, I hope no one falls for that.

Just spoke to a guy from this number. Same story as above, calling me to say that there has been suspicious activity on my computer and they believe my computer has been breached. I asked how he would know this and he said that they had been monitoring my computer for several weeks and that there was suspicious activity going on. I told him I never signed up to receive their service. I then asked him what the name of the company was and he said Network Security Department, I replied, "That's the name of the company?" He said yes, then hung up shortly after. As I was questioning him he sounded very angry. Also had an Indian accent.

Lady called saying she was from "Computer Licensing Company" and she had a report of suspicious use for my computer. Gave me about 40 digits/numbers she wanted me to enter into my computer to give her access. Told her I was not at my computer. She called back again. When I tried to call her back, a recording says it is a non-working number. Beware - this is a scammer.

Just received a call from some guy with middle eastern accent. I told him I was filing a police report on him and hung up. He then tried calling again 3 times to "explain why he was calling about my computer." I yelled at him and said I was proceeding with the police report. He called again.. I let the phone continue to ring. He did not leave a voicemail.

Got a call from 747-485-7485, an Asian guy, that said he was with the Network Security Dept. He said that someone was attempting to steal my information/identity by trying to break into my computer and that they were getting warning signs. He gave me a long number and said to check if that was my computer name. I asked him several questions and told him I didn't believe him. I told him I was hanging up and was going to call the number back. He said thank you for wasting his time. (A hole) I tried to call the number and of course it doesn't work. So many scammers out there.

If you get a call like this, ask them what their website/Home page URL is. It freaks them out an they hang up. Probably because they figure you will just Google it to verify who they are.

If you get a call that you think is a scam like this ask them what their website URL is, it freaks them out and they cannot answer, they wind up hanging up.

PS I tried calling the number from my land line, but it was the three notes played & "we're sorry...your call cannot be completed as dialed".

I answered by accident, since I was planning to make a phone call right when they called my cell phone. A man said 'National Security' but perhaps reading previous post it was 'network security', saying I had a problem with my computer. [My cell phone has no connection with my computer.] I said I was on the Do Not Call list, & that I knew it was a scam & illegal, & I hung up.

Has called twice. Once they told me I had problems on my PC I said I don't own a PC and they hung up. Second time it was just a a hang up right when I said hello

Watch out for these disgusting individuals.. I gave her a piece of my mind at the end of the call.

I'm sorry scammer lady, my TRS-80 Color Computer doesn't hook up to the internets.
| Badge714 2014-03-28 16:00:26 Unknown |
Tell her you're using "Windows 3.1" and you have to hang up to use the dial-up modem. Try not to laugh when you tell her.

Yet another middle east 'English as a 2nd language' scammer pretending to be warning me about infections on my pc. They had me run assoc, msinfo32, netstat and attempted to have me browse to support.me to allow them access to my desktop. I kept her on playing along for 30 minutes or so, she got pretty indignant when I got bored and told her she was full of it.
