I forgot to add in my original post - I don't have a credit card of any type, so if they're offering to reduce my rate, that would be a big fat lie. LOL

I got a call from 756-000-8445 on my cell phone this morning. I answered it but I didn't say anything and then I hung up. I didn't want to be bothered with a possible voice-mail. I'm adding this to my DO NOT ANSWER list.

I recevied a call from this number on my cell phone. Both my cell phone and home phone are registered on "DO NOT CALL" lists. I pressed the number to get an operator in order to tell them this so they would make a note of it and not call me again. I asked the young man who answered where he got my cell number and he said the lender of my MasterCard or Visia gave it to them. I do not give my cell number on any credit reports or applications. I told him my numbers were on a DO NOT CALL list and to please notate it so I would not receive any more calls from this company. He then told me to "GO TO HELL". I ask him to repeat what he said and he said "GO TO HELL". I ask to speak to a manager, he told me once again "GO TO HELL" and hung up on me.

calls and hangs up after first ring or two - best way to avoid just don't answer at all, it's annoying but they get tired of it after awhile and bug someone else.

got call, pressed 9 so i could talk to someone about being removed from call list. i asked which card they were calling about, he said all of them, visa and mastercard, i ask which card gave them my information, he said none, that he worked for card member services. i said oh, this is a telemarketing call, he said no, what makes you thing that, I said well you can't tell me which card you are calling about. he said did you not here the recording all visa and mastercard, bottom line, do you need your interest rates lowered? i said no, i need to be removed from the call list. he said whatever bi*** and hung up on me. next time i'm going to play a little jingle using the phone buttons, i'm pretty good, i can play like 12 songs including "i believe i can fly". wish there was a way to track him.

I too got this phone call.......not uncommon for me.  I've had this cell # for years and am on multiple do not call lists.  They don't do any good anymore.  I get tons of BS phone calls!!  All you have to do when they call is tell them a BS story that you just got out of prison for murder and you have to check with your parole officer first, but you'd be happy to hear what they have to say.  This usually results in a hang up and no further calls from them in the near future!  Happy BS 'ing!!  :)

Got a call from this number.  Left no message, but after reading the posts I suspect it is the same type of call that my daughter received last week.  She has a reloadable gift card and was told that the account had been compromised and she could reactivate it.  Because she is 11 she didn't realized that you don't validate by providing all of the pertinent card info, including full card number, expiration date and security code on the back.  Luckily she told me about it and we were able to cancel the card and get a replacement before the card was compromised.

Same basic call I get all the time.. Lower my rates. Want my account info! Oh sure I will give it to them,, LOL
Then I was told that he will come shoot me, rape my wife and stick it up my @$$... Just the kind of scumbags we want to deal with.  Now really who has a phone number like 765-000-8445. The problem is if you block that # they call from another one. It's a big joke!!! Guess it is what we will have to put up with from the new crooks in town or where they are from.

Got the same message about a change in my credit card rate.  It seems I am getting a lot of unsolicited telemarketer calls.  What happened to the Do Not Call rule?  To whom does one send a complaint?

Received a call. Recorded MSG .  Press 9 to lower credit card rate.  Being tired of these calls, I pressed 9.  Got a man who wanted to give me  a credit card with a $50,000.00 limit.  Trying to trick him, I told him I was in a nursing home, had no money, he said I could still get a card, I said I do not have any money, he said with card, you can get a car, house etc.  he went on and on, so I said "well I got to go to the bathroom now and I will call you later". I then hung up,


Maybe we all need to BS them.  At least I got a good laugh

You're right. First clue is the 000 prefix. I ignored the 2 calls I got.

Spoofed Number. There are no exchanges "000". First clue.

He sent me and email saying he was interested in something I had for sale.  He had this # to call him back on. I called him back and he sounded Indian.  He didn't try to sell me anything

Some Indian called me from this number claiming to be card member services. I asked him what bank card member service and he couldnt or wouldnt tell me.  So I told him I dont speak punjabi and he started using the f word and I hung up.

I am on he do not call list, wharever you are selling i am not interested.

no message left. I am also on the do not call list if this is telemarketing company.

Received a call.  Stated they were Card Member Services.  I asked that my number be removed.  They said they needed my name to remove the number.  When I asked for the person's name and name of business, they hung up.  I am on the Do Not Call List!

Got a 10 second call saying they would charge my credit card for the call made.
Never identified therselves, cannot call the number back-busy tone,
