These people are the lowest form of collection pool.  This number has been used to scam people out of money by telling them or their friends or family members they owe money.  Today our office got a call from Mystic Waters....hmmmm sounds fishy to me.  

First they are calling because they say they can not find you, or even better they don't identify who they want. Who calls someone and doesn't know who they want. Then they have paperwork they need to talk to the unknown person about.  She also says she will refer this to another company for service.  This is Crap as the sheriff, will NEVER, EVER call you to tell you they are coming. The secretary here said we are the sheriffs office and the lady hung up.....Imagine that?  We in the office know that the sheriif lives to work on the element of surprise. Plus if your township, county etc, wants you, they already know where you are, so sit tight.

Second, and most important, NEVER CALL these low life bottom feeders back.  Because truth be known they don't care who they talk to as long as they can get money from someone. It doesn't even have to be the right person. (Remember sometimes they don't even say who they want, or they mispronounce your name.)  I had them calling me a few months back because my teenager signed a form to win a trip to the islands.  It took me 10 months before they forgot my phone number. Like I said If you call them back then they know that they have a real tangible working phone number that they can call to harass you all the time of day and night.  Just ignore the call, or better yet, tag them as a spam call in your phone, and you'll never even see them ring it.

Third, these people function and live on the *Fear factor* they will say anything,  tell you anything to get you to give them the money thru your checking account, debit card or credit card.  Many people get scammed this way. I've heard : coming to your workplace to arrest you, serving you in the morning if you don't call by a certain time, attaching your salary, etc, etc, this is all nothing but crap.

Fourth, in most states if they reference any kind of payday loan,  know this, payday loans are ILLEGAL as they charge obnoxious interest, and states are trying desperately to control that.  Since I'm not sure of what state anyone is in, I cannot site them all here, but if you go to your states attorney general page, you should be able to look up the laws.

Fifth, I know it sounds nice to send them a letter or report them, but this is a futile. They have got this to a science.  With all that is going on in court system they know they have time on their side.  Not enough of these low life bottom feeders get caught and prosecuted, if they did...they wouldn't still be in business, but they are, thousands of them.

Lastly, anyone who posts that you are scum or a deadbeat PAY YOUR BILLS , OR OMG  they came to my place of work and arrested me, are full of crap and are just trying to SCARE you, SEE MY THIRD NOTE Above, Fear factor.

Best thing to do in this case, especially with these people is TO IGNORE. Eventually when no one engages with them they will go away to torment someone else.

I am getting the same type of message on my recorder.  Unless I know the called I no longer answer the call, just let it go to voice mail.  The odd thing is that we just moved to this state and have had the number only a few weeks.  How do we handle these calls other than just ignoring the calls.

Got a call from this number today. I let it go to voicemail. She said her name was Mystic Waters and announced she was a debt collector and insisted i call back. She never said who she was calling for or who shw was callinf on behalf of and i know for a fact it was not for me because i have never had anything in collections

These people keep calling my house looking for my sister.  Says she filled out some application and they need to confirm that they have all of the information correct.  I haven't talked to them directly but the man has left a couple of messages asking that I call him back - leaving only a long distance number.  I do hope I am home when they call again because I have an ear full I want to give them.  How did they get my number to begin with??  I am looking forward to talking to these jokers myself.  I think the last person who called my house continuously like this probably committed herself once I finally did answer!

someone not sure who calls my house at leat 40 times a day and never leaves messages or just says it is urgent theyneed to to talk to me. It sounds like they have read froma scrip to all of us

They are required to state that they are calling from a debt collector. They don't mention it at all and they say that it is urgent that you speak with them. They have called my FIL and my work. I agree with someone else they don't know or follow the 'Fair Debt Collection Act.'

This number contact my fiance's stepmothers home, of which I have never had an association for thier home number. I called the number back and got a recorded message, gives no indication of who they are.  A man stated his name was Adam Grinsley.

I just received a call from this company in regards to them trying to locate my 24 year old daughter. I too asked him what this was concerning, and he said there is a matter that they need her side on before they take any other action in the matter. Again I said, what matter would that be, and again we really can?t tell you it will jeopardize the case.  Gave me the same number along with a contact name of a person, Jen Zinger???

They called, never said they were a debt collector.  When I ask him why he stated that they did not have to say it until the end of the call. Obviously, they do not know the "Fair Debt Collection Act"!  Then they would not tell me if they had filed a Complaint (they were in the process) but told me they had contacted my employer.  That is so against the law and they said their names and that it was from a law firm "Jones" something.  I think that was a lie too.
