I called their radio program and they hung up on ME when I gave them a comment to be put on the show and the idiot asked me to repeat it-and I said why?- and the idiot hung up.
Yep-called back and on the radio they interrupted my statement and hung up.

This number called AT EIGHT AM THIS MORNING. I was furious. They did not leave a  message.

I have twin babies and want the calls to stop.

I do not answer these calls.  I do like the ACLJ but I do not ever give any support to anyone who solicits by phone.  If I want to support an organization I will initiate the giving and will not do anything by phone.  Worthwhile organizations need monetary support but when individuals do not give after endless phone calls they should be removed from their call list. I assume based on others information that this # is the ACLJ.

Being on the "Do Not Call" list does not mean you want receive any solicitation calls.  Excerpt from the Do Not Call website information "Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you?ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls."  If you have donated to ACLJ or receive mailings from them at any time in the past you will might get a call. Just ask the telemarketer to remove your name from future calls and they will.

I am SO TIRED of these people calling me.  My number is on the NO CALL list but yet I constantly get these unknown name calls, toll free calls,  and it is driving me nuts.

I am on the Do Not Call List.  This number continually calls, but no one ever identifies themself or leaves a message.

How can I be removed from their call list when my number is long distance from another state?

The American Center for Law and Justice called AGAIN today after I told them to stop. I've just reported them to the National Do Not Call Registry.

I've been getting obnoxious calls from this number for the past couple of weeks. Every time I answer, no one is there. When I call back, someone hangs up immediately. After reading posts here, I discovered the number belongs to the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) - I found another number to call them and demanded to be taken off their list. I was told that they have an automatic dialer through their "marketing" department that calls three numbers at a time. The first person who picks up the phone, gets the message, the other two get nothing. Calling back results in nothing. This is ridiculous!  I demanded to be taken off their list.

If they call you at some time you must have signed a petition or someone signed in your name - they are the one organization that fights for OUR rights. The ACLU seems to do the opposite, they are always fighting to destroy our rights.

Abortion is only one of the things ACLJ fights for. There are so many complaints listed in WhoCallsMe about this wonderful organization. Everyone associates them only with pro-life, but they are Pro Constitution. Just to give you an example- at a public school (I won't say where, but it was in my state) very young girls were forced to undergo a gyn exam for no reason and WITHOUT parental consent. This was illegal, unethical and extremely traumatic for the poor little girls (5th graders!!!!!). ACLJ represented the girls and their families in a law suit pro bono. This is only one example of an injustice for which they donated their time and resources to protect the rights of the girls and prevent it from happening again (possibly to YOUR child). They have come to the aide of many people in horrendous situations and I am grateful they exist. If they use a call service, it is probably a glitch in their system that causes the repeat calls to people on the do-not-call list. I'm not able to donate either and I hate getting calls, but better calls from them then a lot of other entities I can think of!

The ACLJ has done more to protect liberty and life than every liberal organization on the planet combined.  Why would eliminating abortion be a bad thing?  People think it's the woman's choice, but it's not her body she is killing.  If she wants to abort her body, fine, but let the little one live first. Government should be out of our lives in thousands of overreaching ways, but of all the things they do control, protecting life (especially those that need help the most) is their primary function.

They have called me Multiple times.. day AND Night. Everytime i have Answered the Phone,  They hang up on me. I have pressed 1 to be added to the DO NOT CALL list.. and this was OVER a month ago.. and they still call me Several times a day. If I Let the calls go to Voicemail, there is NEVER a message left. They just call back a few minutes later, to start all over again. I never have a chance to get a word in Edgewise, Because as Soon as i pick up and answer the phone, They hang up.

The number is a call service hired by the ACLJ. The ACLJ is an evangelical organization that focuses on "the concept that freedom and liberty are universal, God-given and inalienable rights that must be protected." They train law students to protect religious freedom and "safeguard" human rights --- in other words, this is a right-wing organization hell-bent on preaching their gospel and eliminating abortion. They claim dependence on God "and the resources He provides through the time, talent, and gifts of people who share our concerns and desire to protect our religious and constitutional freedoms."

You can call them back and press "1" to be added to their do-not-call list. It could take as long as 30 days to actually not be called again, so you can either ignore their calls or pick up and have some rather stimulating conversations .... especially if your religious and/or political views are different from theirs!

The "do no call list" does not apply to charitable organizations.

I have gotten several phone calls, when i answer they hang up.  I am also on the don't call list.  I don't mind answering...i hate when they hang up when i answer!  Rude
