Told me this was about a debt collection and provided a number to call. I've tried to call to tell them this is a mistake but line is either constantly busy or not a valid number (that rapid busy signal sound). No one is identified as the delinquent person but it isn't me since I have no delinquent payments.

Have a package through my cable...phone, cable internet.  Never even hooked up the actual phone because I don't use it.  Changed the first number because so many collection calls for someone that had the number before...comes on my tv and interrupts what we're watching.  Got a new number and now this company is calling all the time!  They need to leave us all alone!!!  The fact is phone numbers are now recirculated every 3 no. in large cities.  So, chances are...they're harassing the lot of us that don't have anything to do with whatever they're trying to collect!  Move on...I don't understand why the Govt. doesn't have some way to stop this!!!!

This number has been calling me about 4 to 5 times a day. It's getting annoying. What can I do to stop these calls besides changing my phone number?

Wow!  Thank you to everyone that has posted about this, I'm both glad and horrified to know that I'm not the only one being terrorized by these people.  Based on other posts I'm assuming that these guys really are debt collectors though I've never been able to confirm why they are calling me, same story as everyone else... no messages, call them back and they dont pick up, or put me on hold, oh they've also auto-called me to place me on hold!   This is the most unproductive collection tactic I could possibly imagine!  I would never pay them any money because they sound like a scam.  I will file a complaint as suggested in one of the posts.  Has anyone tried the "Sue Debt Collectors" link?  Is it legit?

I get a call EVERYDAY from this number and no one ever speaks. I am tired of these nonsense calls!

they called and asked for danny...i said i dont know any danny..they said yes you do..i said im sorry no danny here...then he cut me off and wouldn't let me talk and said have him call me back.. and kept repeating every time i tried to talk...im on my last nerve

Called me as well from several numbers for debts by people I know but have only visited my house ages ago. They keep calling even though I don't know the address or current phone number for the people they want to talk to.
Does anyone know the physical address of the call center, of the owner of the business, of the owner of the building that the call center is in, and of the owner of the house that the owner of this harassment company lives in if they are a renter?

RPM debt collectors, they buy old debts for pennies!!....you do not have to pay them, they are not the original loaners. Read the law.

You have to send them a letter apparently and then if they keep calling you, you can sue them.
They are violating the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and you can also threaten to call the attorney general and federal trade commissioner.

I just asked them for their supervisor and I was verbally abused. I want to stop this company so badly.I don't own anyone anything and they are calling me 7 times a day. Which is also harassment, which they are not allowed to do either.

Ever since I got this new mobile plan with Verizon a couple of months ago, now I'm starting to get these damn calls. They call, hang up, and don't leave a message. I already blocked their other two numbers but this is the first time I got a call from this number. When I was with T-Mobile, I never received any calls like these.

they are a company called RPM - debt collectors........ dont answer them.

This is a FAKE DEBT COLLECTOR that goes by the name RPM. They call from several different phone numbers. Do not answer them. Do not call them back. Trust me, they will call you again and again, you do not owe them a single penny, they will not even ask for you by name, and asking them to stop will not stop them from calling back.

I got a Hello out of them yesterday and then the line went dead. I want to sue these b*****ds for the continuous aggravation . They call a line that we have to pay for each call that calls it and it rolls over to a cell phone that also charges us for each call . If I could send a virus to that phone caller..I certainly WOULD because they are a daily virus to me

This a bill collector.

I get daily calls from these people, and they call about an average of 3 or 4 times an hour every day.  Their return ID lists them as 'ReceivablesPerf'. They are extremely rude and terribly demeaning to me. They refuse to talk to me and insist on talking to my husband.  When I say he isn't home, they refuse to leave a message and just insist that my husband call them, but they won't give me the number he should call or the name of the person he should be speaking to.  They say, "Just tell him to call!", and then they hang up.  The thing is, I find it suspicious if these are bill collectors because neither my husband nor I have any outstanding debt right now (other than our mortgage, but we always keep that paid up at least 1 month ahead).  So why they are calling us is a real mystery to me.  It has "scam" written all over it.

They will contact anyone that shares the same name as the subject who has outstanding debt. I even threatened bomb implosion at their facility in Virginia BUT they continue to call me to collect outstanding debt.

This is the first time they've called.  We've had this number about 2 months and haven't given it out to anyone.  When I answered I could hear typing then they hung up.

The people at 757-990-8973 have been calling me for three weeks. Incredibly rude.  "Receivablesperf " shows on ID. Make them say they are removing your number and tell them they are being recorded.
