Clay, I have had the exact same experience as you. Now they are sending me letters with an account number on it. It relieves me to know this is happening to others, but saddens me as it appears there is no one to help or least get us started in the right direction.

They told me the same thing.  If I do not respond, they wish my luck, and to have a good year. Sounds like a threat to me. I told him I wasn't afraid of him or his fake accent. They can all go to hell.

this is beyond irritation.  this number harrasses me at work on the company line and on my cell phone.  i asked for paperwork verifying i owe this.  he replied, " you ain't getting nothing in writing" most of the time it is people with heavy accents of oriental or indian descent.  i have fussed them out and threatened to report them for harrassment, they told me to go ahead.  i think they piggy back off of things you may legitimately apply for online.  that is how they get your contact number.  they can make your life miserable.  they are relentless.  any ideas how to get rid of them would be appreciated.  i was happy to find out they are calling other people who do not owe payday loans.  this most be a scam of some sort.  they must be collecting money from someone or they would not be so relentless. any ideas how to get rid of them would be appreciated.

This morning I received a call on my cell phone (which came up as a private number) from a lady with a very heavy Indian accent, said her name was Jessica, and said "you must return this call the instant you get this message, there are criminal charges against you, if you or your attorney do not return this call officers will come to your work and you will be escorted to the courthouse.  If you do not return the call all we can do is wish you the best of luck in what is about to unfold .... blah, blah, blah ...."  While I was listening to her voicemail, she was already calling me on my work phone. I thought it sounded like a scam so I Googled the number she left on my voicemail, and after reading everyone else's posts regarding this scam, I have no intention on answering or returning any of their calls unless of course they continue to harass me at work, then I will have one of the attorneys I work for deal with them.

Same thing has happened to me.  They have not sent me any paper work.  They called me from different numbers.  The guy has an indian accent and he says his name is John Smith.  There has to be someplace where they can be reported.

I received similar calls about 4 months ago and after I had told them that I will get my attorney to contact them, they stopped.  Unfortunately I received exactly the same call again today - with a message saying that if I do not respond, they can only wish me good luck etc etc.  The number is 1888560485 - and yes, the caller had a Indian accent.

I got a phone call from this man with a heavy accent saying that I took out a 350 cash loan last year, and they are pressing charges on me. He told me to get a criminal lawyer, and that I would sit in jail for three or four months. He said this is from Sonic Cash.net.....He keeps calling, and telling me to get an attorney, and that I would be served papers

We keep getting the same phone call.  The only problem is where live the state passed a law that no company can give a pay-day loan to anyone that lives, does business, or has a bank account in the state.  I have reported this company to the FTC, and we have recorded a phone call and sent to them as well.  DO NOT give this company anything!

I got a call from "Mark Henderson" yesterday from 888-343-4933.  Could not really understand everything he said.  I think he said he was from the Dept of Law.  But he said that there was a legal matter and if I did not call him back as soon as I got the message, the police would be sent to my work and I would be arrested and loose my job. And my credit rating will be affected. He also left my full ssn on my answering machine.

Then today I got 2 calls from a woman (could not understand her name) from 760-262-0970, and she said that there was a suite against me and if I did not call her back right away, the only thing she could do for me was to wish me best of luck for what I have brought down on myself.

This really ticks me off that they prey on someone that needs a little extra money for an emergency. We usually screen our calls anyway, so now that I know that it is a scam (which I figured it was when I heard an Indian speaking person calling from a legal office) I am not going to call them back.  My son wants to so I may let him do it some day when we are bored. Every time they call I will block that number.

I have been receiving phone calls from these people for 2 years.  I contacted the FTC and they told me to tell them that I was recording the conversation.  they call from all different numbers.
The last time three months ago, I called them back and could not leave a message, my lawyer has called them too.  So the last time they called two months ago I told them that I was recording the conversation and that they had been told 10 times not to call my work and that I had contacted the FTC and that they should not called.  They were also on Dateline regarding this scam and that I will contacted dateline about them again.  They stopped calling, well it started again, I will just tell them the same thing and they will stop for awhile.  I also told my personnel department and my supervisor about the calls they have called to and left messages not to call.  My friend at home has used and Indian accent and they stopped calling after he told them that the conversation was being recorded.

Dateline proved it was a scam, but no agency seems to be able to have the calls stopped.  I have three other friends who are having the same problem.

The phone company allowing their service to be used shows no complaints until now. They may be liable if you file complaints with them. They called employees of mine and violated FDCPA, Florida Consumers Protection Act, in a multitude of ways. My employees have hit the lotto if they can nail the company down. Evidently it is some internet loan company soniccash.net, which doesn't seem to exist but soniccash.com does.  Document! Document.!Document!

Received several calls today from this company both at work and home. Spoke to several men with heavy accents, maybe indian.  I could not understand most of what they said.  I was told that I would be picked up by a sheriff tomorrom and would find out what this was all about.  They would not tell me what the issue was but did say it was for an internet loan.  They had all my personal information.  This definitely put a scare in me but after reading the above comments, I feel a little better.  This company would not even provide any documentation.  I guess I will have to contact an attorney.

Heavily foreign accented man (either middle-eastern or India) called for an employee. Stated that his name was "Roger Frederick" and the name of his company was Monetary Crimes Divison (760-262-0970). When I asked if it was a personal business call he said it was a business call re a legal issue and that the employee was supposed to be in court. Funny, since he was calling from Indio, Calif., and we are in San Antonio, TX. He finally hung up.
In the past, these calls typically come from one of those cash advance places and according to the Police Dept's fraud division, these scammers will have a lot of personal info on you (including a bank account #, relatives' names and phone #'s, etc.), fill out an on-line cash advance/ loan application, electronically "sign" your initials, and make a deposit to your checking account and withdraw the funds and will either begin withdrawing funds monthly to repay the "loan" or they will start calling you to collect the monies, saying you owe them money, interest and penalties or they will see you in court. BEWARE! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, DO NOT AGREE, DISAGREE, SAY YOU OWE ANYTHING, ETC. They will call and harrass you. Keep a record of the call dates and time, phone #'s and get the bogus name of the company and caller. Turn it over to the police dept., and file a complaint with the FCC on line. You may also want to check your bank account to see if you have any surprise deposits and withdrawals and if so, alert your bank so they can close your account. It's a nightmare! May be a good investment to subscribe to one of those credit monitors.

Received several calls from this number in the past week or so.  Was threatened today that the Sheriff would be at my door tomorrow at 1100 PST to pick me up and then when I asked why, they said that I would find out when I got picked up.  This is funny since I live in the CST.  Asked them to verify the debt and they could not.  Supposedly spoke to an attorney call Chris Wilson in the Monetary Fraud Division.  After reading posts, I am not worried now.  Will contact bank and employers to advise them of this fraud.

Last fall I had the same people call me at my place of work and threaten to have the cops come take me away.  I asked for an invoice of some kind to prove that I owed them money, and if I did I would have gladly paid it.  Of course no such invoice existed because this is a fraud.  They would not stop calling and interrupting me at work and I finally contacted my lawyer.  I gave him the call-back number that this "agency" gave me and no one answered.  He informed me that places like this are unfortunately very popular and have cheated many people out of money.  A co-worker of mine finally got stern with them and they tried to say that we were both under investigation.  She then informed them that we are not gullible or stupid by any means and that we would take any legal action necessary to take their little operation under if they continued to harass us.  The calls stopped for a while, but just today a woman with a heavy accent called back with the same garbage.  My co-worker answered the phone and told her the same thing and so far, so good.  Don't fall for this scam!  Tell them that who they're asking for is unavailable and take the call-back number and give it to your lawyer.

Reveived a call on the 14th stating that I owe money to some cash advaced place and I never took money out from this location. I told them to send me paperwork and they said they would on Tuesday when they come to pick me up. I told them that you can't just come pick me up because that is illegal.

Well they called me again stating the same thing, but this time they said they were some company in PA. Well this number is in CA. He said he will be coming by with papers and then they will arrest me. Again I said they could not do anything and I said I would call the state police to see if I have a warrent out with my arrest, which I know I am not. They said go ahead. Hopefully they will stop calling me.
