Recieved call from the same number. When I answered they hung up. When I called back using my land line (not cell) it says number is disconnected. It is definitely a scam or telemarketer. I have answered before to a scam that claims you owe money or are about to be charged with check fraud. They will tell you you can avoid this by paying with a "check by phone" DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!!  They pray on people's fears. Don't fall pray to it. If for any second in this conversation you believe there is a chance you may owe something you have the right to ask them to send you written information to validate the debt. They have to obey your request or can no longer make attempts to collect. Even if you know for a fact you do not owe money it is vital you ask them to send you proper documentation. Be smart folks. If they tell you there is a "pending" court date just laugh and tell them you were NEVER served with legal documents from the court house in your county to appear in court and until you do you are not dealing with them. They will tell you they will file whatever their claim is then as a scare tactic but don't let it bother you you. They do not do that. Debt collectors give their debt to an attorney to file on their behalf and I can promise you those attorneys do not sit and call you to negotiate your debt before they file. They'd lose money for themselves if they did that and screw their client of money. ONLY a bill collector will bargain with you for a debt if it's a legit debt they will identify themselves. Identify your debt ahead of making demands for payment. If you tell them to "take you to court" no matter who the entity is calling you it is at that moment they HAVE to stop calling you and file in court if they are legit. 99.9% of these callers are not!!  If telemarketers call tell them right away you do not wish to waste any of your time or theirs that you are on a DO NOT CALL LIST, most of the time they will hang up so fast you haven't been able to say the whole thing. Most won't call you back but you do have a few dummies who think you can't do anything to them. Those are the ones you need to report to the FTC, FCC and anyone else you can think of. I called my state attorney generals office and the secretary was very helpful in telling me names and numbers to call as well as listening to my complaint to pass along. It takes time but there are things that can be done to stop these abuses. A women actually sued a company for violating the do not call list by calling people on it and not only did she finally shut them down she won a large settlement for harassment. But you have to be diligent. You have to inform the caller. You have to have recorded proof and you have to call the right people. I hope this long letter has been helpful.

Called me, I didn't answere as it was an unknown number, I called back and with in 2 min it had been disconnected or was no longer in service. What a joke, looks like yet another number going into my blocker app

Received 9 calls from this #in less than 2 weeks reported to police ...called it back from a pay phone number is disconected

We received calls from 714-497-4542 and from 719-426-2336. We called back the second one and they tired to sell us insurance. Person had an Indian accent and plenty of noise in the back ground. We declined their offer and hung up.

i am getting calls from 7605453860 also 7144974542 also 7194262336 they ask for my old roommate that moved out over a year ago and he does not know anything about this

Boiler room call likely originating from India.  They connect to my skype number and may or may not leave a message, but in the background you can hear a lot of activity.  I just block them.  I got calls over a period of about 3 hours from 7144974542 and 70775084534 basically identical.  It is really sad so much of commerce is based on deception.  Oops, getting another from 719 426 2336  - hahaha.  Morons.

Have you confirmed this, or only speculating about it? I just got called by them and would be concerned if there is reason to think they are able to data mine my phone just by answering the call.

Called me three times today alone. No vm. Disconnected when I return the call.

Second time in two days that they've called. No voice mail left either time. When I called the number back 15 minutes later,  I heard a message stating that the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.

760-545-3860 claimed to be insurance rate finder.  I suspect they are data miners looking for credit card numbers and personal info.

These are scammers. DO NOT ANSWER.  They get in your phone and look for password, links to ur bank account and credit cards number.  I had to cancel my cc after they were shopping on line.

I never answer numbers I don't recognize and let them go to reverse look-up. It shows as Collection Company, I don't owe anyone so why call me. Just another telemarketer/scam.

Selling Car Insurance, I told them I don't have a car and they said, "okay, thanks for picking Up"
