You can help put them out of business by letting them know you are aware they are running an extortion scam, have NO intention of paying for a non-existent debt and have reported them to the authorities.

they are calling and saying that i will go to jail and that they are from attorney generals office they have my social and bank account can you please help put these jokers out of business.

The exact same thing happened to me! I was very scared and as an innocent , scared human I actually did deposit . Should I have reported this to the police?

The number 760-624-8866 and another number from Alabama called me and stated that I needed to call them back and or have my attorney call them back. Had the worst accents ever and sounded like a recording. So, I looked the companies and numbers up and they are found to be both scammers. I have never in my life been to these two states. I live all the way in Maryland. The 760 number called stating his name was "John King" and I could not help but laugh. Anytime you get calls from far states asking for attorney's, don't pay them any mind.

You know I have got the same call from a man name Shane Watson and he said I needed to call 760-624-8866 and speak with Kevin Peterson saying they were from the State Attorney Office of California and that some Cash Advance Office was filing 3 law suites against me for getting a cash advance and not paying it back and I have never in my life got a Cash Advance from  off line.(Internet) and I have never lived in California. They said I could settle out of court for $300 and if I didn"t they would have me arrested and bring me to court and the fee would be $2500 and 6mths in jail. When I ask for more information they would not give it to me. I am reporting them to the Attorney General. They are taking from people that are hard working law abiding citizens and they WILL pay for STEALING.

told me I took a payday loan. never in my life. said they'd send police to my house or work if I didn't fix the issue. he hung up on me when I asked for mu bank no. he was vague, never telling me my ady or ss no. I contacted the Ca stste attny's office, gave them the scammer's no, and description of the call. I also contacted my local media, hoping they air the scam on the nightly news. I hope they catch the b*****d, and lock him up for impersonating a human being.

Just received the same type of call from 760-624-8866...stating they would have me arrested and wishing me luck if i decided not to send them money. COMPLETE AND ABUSIVE SCAM ARTIST. Unbelievable !!!!!!!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I got a call from them yesterday and thismorning at 7am saying i was being charged with some kinda fraud
for a payday loan and wanted me to clear it up or the cops where comeing to get me from my work or home
i can block his calls but i hate he has my ss#. guess ima have to reactivate that old email adress he said it was from.....lol he claimed his name was Robbin Williams i got a kick outa that to bad wasnt really him huh

I've been getting the same calls saying the same thing. Now they have started calling my job and threatening people in my work. I have done a reverse look up and found out the number is actually owned by bandwidth.com . I called their customer support department tonight and had them look up two numbers that have been calling me. 760-624-8866 and 951-223-6693 and it was confirmed they both are owned by bandwidth.com. I was told to fill out this form on their website to report it to their legal department. http://bandwidth.com/resources/legal/policy_violations.html . Once their legal department gets enough complaints then they will do something about it.

I got by first phone call today at work stating je was John Anderson from the California states attorneys office that I had been charged, but would never say what the charges were. would only repeat I had to call a Calvin Peterson. when I pressed for proof he was calling from the state attorneys office he said to just to call back on the number he gave me you got it 760-624-8866. he did have information like the last 4 digits of my SS number and wanted me to verify them. I would not because he could not verify who he was.
I called the number it rings about five times and then beeps and goes silent. I had been shopping for a truck and had filled out financing forms at the car lot. I had a charge put on my bank account from a company called scoresence.com maybe this is all tied in together from filling out forms for a loan.
I was told you could report fraud to ice.gov

I received a call from this number and they left a message that I could not understand.  The lady sounded like she had marbles in her mouth.  But I called it back and an indian man informed me I had 3 federal charges pending against me, having to do with federal banking regulations.  When I inquired as to who was filing the charges, he told me it had to do with a payday loan application I made.  However, when I informed him I've never made an application for a payday loan, and no one has deposited any funds into my accounts, he simply hung up.  Not sure of exactly what the angle is on this scam.  Need to find these folks and put a clamp on their shop.

Same as above. I have called FBI locally when I got a similar one last year. They take the info but never do anything since when they try to catch these individuals they move to another location. I think we should call your local news media with the phone number and see if they will post the number as a scam. We have a pretty good one in the Charlotte area. May be a more practical way to spread the word. I know it can be alarming but we need to stand against these low lifes. Maybe you can tell them you have a close relative that is in law enforcement and they will be at their door investigating them and who they are. A street does turn up where this is coming from on Intellius when I looked it up.

I got three calls from this number 760)624-8866 the man spoke really bad English I couldn't understand him other then saying he was with the state attorneys office funny thing is I gave family that is with the state so I called them before finding this site its funny that this guy thinks his company can go and make these calls and try and take something from hard working Americans and think its a job

They called me talking bout I had three charges against me really where they do that at n then when I tried  to call back they kept answering and hanging up on me so warning if u see this number don't answer call the police or your lawyer.

I have been getting calls from this number for the past week. They have be harassing me, stating that i have an outstanding payday and charges has been filed against me. They can barely speak english. He was so rude and unprofessical. He couldnt give me the loan company name amount or anything. He said that an officer will be at my house or work place to arrest me.

This number called me as well and said they were issuing
a warrant for my arrest. I wanted to know more about it since they had my personal information.
The foriegn voice who said his name was Brian cruise got angry with me.. so I told him to go back to the country he came from... he hung up... so I returned the favor and called him back several times and he wouldnt answer... just kept hanging up.
What you need to know is that they arent actually calling from the U.S. but these telemarketers have ways of obtaining U.S. numbers...  be careful with these idiots theyre slick!

Received a call from this number this morning and was told I needed to call someone else to find out what it was all about, the number he gave me was the same number he called from and when I did get threw the guy hung up on me and when I called back he told me he hung up on me because I wasnt listening to him. He started talk to me about a payday loan and when I told him I had never received any loans he ended the call. I wonder how many more times hes going to call.

I applied for a loan last week and ever since then this number calls me about 10 times a day. My supervisor at work received a recorded phone call (because all of our work phone calls are recorded) and a guy left a message for me saying to call him back. He had a heavy Indian accent and he said his name was John or Jason from UCFC and left this number to call him back. When i tried to call that number after work no one answered. He finally left a message last night on my phone and said to have me and my attorney call him back. That alerted me so I called the number back this morning and I said that I was returning a call. He asked my name and I told him and he said with the last four of your social xxxx and I said yes. Then he proceeds to tell me "let me explain what is going on and do not interupt me". I said ok and he begins to explain that charges have been brought upon me for 3 counts. I begin to ask him who is this coming from and he begins to yell at me that he told me not to interupt him and i said you don't have to be so rude and he said deal with the consequences and hung up on me. When i tried to call him back he kept hanging up on me. When i got to work i asked my supervisor if the number he called in on was the same and she said it came from 866-765-6669 so she called it back and she says it was the same person. The guy asked who she was and for her phone number and she said you called a place of business and this will be forwarded to our legal department. I am going to investigate this more. I do not like the fact that he new the last 4 of my social.

Some Indian guy who can barely pernonce my name leaving me voicemails in which I do not answer because I know its fake from reading all of these complaints! He basically leaves the following message : Says the matter is extremely time sensitive, reads the same thing into the phone every time. He always says if I don't return the call the only thing he can do is wish me good luck. I'm tempted to answer and cuss him out like he try to do to other ppl on here.

I have received countless calls from this number as well as many ohter numbers all from CA, saying they need me to call them back immediatley, or my attorney needs to call them. saying the federal marshall is going to be at my work to arrest me because i owe $3600 in payday loans, or attny fees. the man claims to be john anderson, has very thick accent. hard to understand. i called number back many times. no answer,. then when i did get thru, they claimed to not know who i was, or who john anderson was. i told them they wer scammers and they hung up on me. i called again, and the man started telling me to shut my filthy wh*re mouth, that i was a stupid b*tch . thatt he knew where i lived and worked and he was going to get me and my family.

If you have a smart phone, hit menu when you answer, then hit record, but "state" you are recording and wil turn it in to your Attorney General......I live in Texas and they dont put up with s***....but regardless they do not want to be recorded....it ends.

He Called my work and left a message that I needed to contact him or have my attorney contact him.  Stated that he was from the State Attorney's office and said that if I did not call him back he could not help me with what ever happened and wished me lock.  When I called back I did give my name just asked him what office he was with and he said the state attorney's office and hung up.
