I have just received a call at work from this number also.My boss got more info out of the woman who called than usual.She said that I owe money for a payday loan of $460 that was deposited into my bank account.He also got this phone number from her, supposedly the supervisor, which no one usually gives out.We called back and a gentleman answered the phone as a Law Office but I couldn't catch the name due to the heavy Indian accent.My boss told him that I am doing Federal time and he is uphauled to hear that I had stolen money.The gentleman said they dont have anyone with my name and then put us on hold.After a minute or so, it disconnected.They didnt know I am on the other line listening but interesting that the call got disconnected.This is one of many numbers that the calls come from, one of many names used, and same heavy accent.The calls have been coming for months, several times a day and week.Crazy, crazy, crazy

They keep calling. They never leave a message. I just ignore them always.

They called me at home and left a threatening message.  I called them back and asked for the name of the company so I could report them.  They immediately hung up!

I have received two calls from this number the first where they tried to serve me a supeona over the phone and told me they were going to have me arrested for fraud because of an internet loan that they say was defaulted years ago. The told me I owed them somwhere around $700 and they had my ssn and the name of my job. They told me because of where I worked I should be able to borrow the money from my coworkers to pay them and wanted me to write and fax a hand written letter stating that I would authorize them to deduct the money from my bank account and they would not have me arrested. Even going to far as pretending that they had an "officer" in the background and one man was talking to another telling him no don't send the officer to get her she's trying to work with us.The first call I got from this company was about 6 weeks ago now today I've received another call with them leaving a voicemail messsage saying that I should return their call immetiately or otherwise they feel sorry for the situation that will be "forced" upon me. The most recent name left on my voicemail was also Leo Fernandez however he had an unmistakably Indian accent. They also identified themselves as the "Anderson Law Firm" in their original call which came from a 330 area code. I belive this company is located overseas and has their calls routing through US numbers

The number 760-748-4422 has called my work twice today. I had a co-worker take a message and the name given to ask for is Victor Marshall, again, an indian decent accent. They had called and harrassed me around the same time last year stating I took out an internet payday loan and never repayed it, and that they were sueing me for the owed funds. I had my brother call them back stating he was my lawyer, but they refused to identify what court house they were from or disclose any information about the "case" to him, stating that they would only deal directly with me.

i got the call from "Karen Williams" yeah ,, i doubt that was her real name, however her english wasn't half bad.. she actually pronpunced my name better than most of these douch bags.. with the same story...do not disregard the call...as the situation unfolds on you...blah...blah ...blah.... last week it was Jenny McDonald.... so since im a crazy b***h and i have been keeping track over the last few months when i'm bored at home i call them to see if the numbers are still active ( my phone line at home is blocked and they don't have that) i ask for the others who's names have been left on my cell voice mail... they are James Brown (hahaha) Donnie Jones, Robert Davis,..and Tom Taylor ( this a** wipe talks like he has marbles in his mouth
then they ask me my name and i hang up on them... i hate them. i HAVE called the local police as well as the FBI and the Atty gen in NY and i've been told just to hang up and there is nothing that can be done, they probably arn't even in out country, as long as you don't say yes, i don't think they can get anything from your account,... its just annoying...., they suck....

I got the call today at work.  I didn't ask for a name, just told them I couldn't talk now and asked for their phone number.  He gave me 760-748-4422.  Said that it was some kind of legal action.  I'm glad I looked this up before freaking out.  How do they get our information?

Now they are threatening my job!!  Whatever!  I have never done anything illegal and would never do anything that would jeopardize my job.

Has anyone ever recieved the exact address for this number?

new number with these scammers. 760-748-4422, and 760-284-1401. same they called my work saying theres a law suit aginst me that i owe money. So i said send me the paper work, and hung up. As of two days ago they called me at work harrassing me to know end, middle eastern accents saying there taking me to court i want your attorneys to call me i said i will represent myself where you want me to meet you what court room. They got all mad and demanded the money. i said no way, i would like to speak to someone who speak english in your company. They got all mad. Then they threatened me. I hung up they proceded to call my job 22 times. In which i was questioned by my boss and my fellow employees. i called local enforcement, san diego sheriffs department( the calls were from san diego county) distirct attorney of my state(Ny) and attorney general, plus the fbi. And im not stopping until something is doen. I will call the secretary of defense if i have to, for all we now people may be getting scammed and funding the terrorist regime!

If they call again, do the following (and nothing else)

1.    Ask for the name and address of the collector
2.    Tell the collector that you are recording the call
3.    Tell them Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, a collector must send a 5-day letter stating what the debt is, why it's owed and how much they believe you owe. Tell them that you have not received this letter.
4.    Tell the collector that ?Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, you MAY NOT contact me further? and that you are sending a certified letter to that effect to the address provided above.
5.    Hang up
6.    Send the drop dead letter (sample below) to the address via certified mail.

i got a call from a leo fernandez saying they had three charges against me an i had to go to court in california the number came up unavalible an he gave me this number to call him back 760-933-8578 said he worked for the federal legislative office of custumer affairs an something else you guys think this is a scam to cuz i dunno whats going on or what to do he said they put money in my bank acount an never got it back i called my back an they said that there has never been any money put into my bank except what i have put in there myself soooo could anyone help me on if they think its a scam or what iam really scared never got a call like this before please right an tell me what you think thanks

I GOT A CALL FROM A LADY BY THE NAME JANET SMITH. I COULD BARELY UNDERSTAND HER BECAUSE HER ACCENT WAS SO THINK. I TOLD THEM TO CALL ME ON MY CELL PHONE. WHEN THEY CALLED IT CAME FROM UNAVALIABLE ID. HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS A LAWYER FROM MARVINS LAW FIRM AND THAT CRIMINAL CHARGES WERE GOING TO PRESSED AGAINST ME FOR FRAUD. HE SAID THAT THE LOAN WITH EASYCASH THAT THE COMPANY WAS TAKING THE LOSE. I NEED TO COME UP WITH $3000 FOR COURT. BUT HE NEVER SAID WHAT DAY OR COURTHOUSE. HIS NAME IS LEO FERNANDEZ. I WAS SCARED AND UPSET THAT DAY. I DECIDE TO CHECK THE NUMBER ON THE WEB AND FOUND OUT THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE. I KNEW I HAD DID ANYTHING WRONG BUT I MAKE YOU SECOND GUEES YOURSELF. this guy called me today at my job and had my information also. I called the local pd and let them know and the sgt i talked to said it was a scam.

These are scam artists calling from a call center, sounds like in India, saying the same stuff that everyone else here as posted, they need to be stopped. This is California number, they also call from 760-935-3927, too. The Attorney Generals office in California needs to shut these Croaks down!!!

They left a message on my VM saying i need an attorney and I will have to go to court!! That they have gotten 3 complaints against me and none of it made sense.

I got a call from the same number today threatening me with arrest.  They said they would be at my office tomorrow to arrest me. I didn't take out any loans with any body.  The said they were with Marvin Associates Law Firm and I was being charged with banking fraud. The lawyer's name that called me is Leo Fenandez. They also had my yahoo address and my social security number.   The website they say I contacted is easycash.com.  Beware!!!  This is a scam!

have had several call and messages from this number -- one time identified as "Cartney Cole" , always as an attorney with a lawsuit against me.

I just received the same exact call at my office as Joe. This guy, Leo Fernandez, threatened to send a team of 'Investigators to my office with a search warrant.' He had my SS number and home address. He called me from 760-748-4422 and from 617-588-00885, which I traced on www.Switchboard.com to a Cambridge, MA address.
