Call comes in and when answered by me - they hang up

Got a call from (763) 392-3786 and on my answering machine it says the recording says there is important warranty information on my car and may have to pay 100% of the repair costs if I don't respond. It doesn't give a call back number. I found the number on my caller ID.

Calling and asking for money for vets, when i said i dont have any money they hang up!. nice people getting money from vets hang up on you

As I also work 2 14 hour night shifts in the ER per week, I sleep during the day. I have been awakened at least 5 times by these people. Every time I answer, half-asleep, I am hung up on. Until yesterday. Yesterday they claimed to be asking for money for Vets. I said no, explained my situation and asked that they quit calling. The person on the other end swore at me and hung up the phone. Less than 24 hours and I was jarred from my sleep again -- again it was them.</p>

This isn't just exhausting me, it's potentially putting the lives of my patients at risk who need me to be well-rested and alert while making life-changing decisions for them. On my caller ID it does say "MNVFW." Are the even legit? Could that be MN VFW? Are others here being called being called from Minnesota. These people are calling as often as twice a day and won't let up when you ask them to stop. Who can this be reported to and what can be done to stop it?</p>

I just called the 1-800 number they give on the message you receive when calling their 763 number (which looks local, but is a scam number). On the message it claims they "missed me" and would "call later" to collect money for Veterans of Foreign Wars. The 1-800 number they give for more info. gives you a message saying, "To talk to live ladies 24 hours a day call" and gives another toll-free number that dials a phone sex line. These people need to be reported to the Minnesota Attorney General and Congressmen and women need to be written to about this scam.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i told em to stop calling every sunday morning. as well as infomed them im on the do not call list and it's friggin sunday. i used to be a temarketer when i was 15 and i never worked not one sunday

This is a company that is soliciting $$$ supposedly for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The don't seen to care if your phone number is on the National Do Not Call Registry; they keep calling anyway. Even more sad, the recording stated that because they didn't reach me today, they were going to keep calling back.

I called their number back and got a recording referring me to their toll free number 1-800-396-9104.

call comes in, no one on line.

We get at least 2 of these calls EVERYDAY, usually around meal times, which makes it even more disruptive. I have tried to answer a couple of times, but there is no one there when I say, "Hello."  So now when I see the number on our caller ID I just pick up the phone and hang it back up right away so I don't have to listen to the phone ring and wait for my answering machine to get hung up on.  Does anyone know where we can report this so we can try to get this stopped?  I would love to help, but where do we start?

We get called on our home phone by this number.  We get so many solicitations that we have a piece of paper by the phone w/ numbers we know not to answer.  This is one of them...  I wish the government had more regulation about solicitations.  We also get a lot of solicitations on the fax machine, which is even worse because the fax paper is not cheap!!  I can't believe people can get away with doing that...

what message? geez, I answer it and they hang up. no message, nobody there. I redialed the number twice... both times I get an 800 number that is disconnected.

I left a message at the real VFW-MN telling them there was some scam going on using them. I don't know if it will help, but it makes me feel better!

I just wanted to let you know that Non-Profits are exempt from the "Do Not Call" list. I had to find out the hard way.

This call comes in every day and never leaves a VM,but hangs up if I answer.Very annoying.This has to stop. How many complaints do they need?

this is the third time, that I know of, they've called. No one is ever on the line just a bunch of bad music

Mr Swindell called again today.......
This time I answered, I let him get through his pitch before telling him I was being shafted on a work comp claim. He hung up as quickly as he could.

same # called three times and hung up when I picked up.  I went to google the number and this is where I ended up leaving another comment about the same #.  What's up with this scam?

Insane really...We tried to answer this call tonite...they called our landline, then my husband's NEW cell number (no idea how they got that) and ping ponged back and forth for seriously TEN minutes calling our two numbers.  We tried to pick up, we tried to talk to someone.  My husband finally called the number back and got the VFW recording...what a crock.

As soon as I picked up the phone a man said hi ;I asked who is this and they hung up on me.

This number is driving me MAD.  They keep calling, looks like it could be someone we know b/c we live in the area...but ARRGH.  Enough already.

I am receiving daily calls from this number.  If you call the number back, it refers you to a new 800 number.  If you call the 800 number, there is an option to add your number to their do not call list.

I did that and will see if it works.

They called early in the morning, hung up when I answered.

What A scam they have tried collecting for everything from firefighters to VFW and I know these people never see a dime.
