Got a call from the above number and they talked about lowering my interest rates on my high interest rate cards.  They said they couldn't help me because I was too near the limit.  They got the account numer of my one card and I am worried now it was a scam.

I just received a call from 764-000-2956 (California call), recorded computer call indicating the if I press "9" to speak with a live operator, they could lower the interest rate on my credit card. That my opportunity was about to expire. I'm sure it will, considering I do not have any credit cards!

These bozos called us repeatedly months ago and we kept telling them to stop.  We don't carry a card balance ever so the opportunity to "lower our interest rates" doesn't matter.  Calls stopped for a while and now they've started back.  I filed a complaint with the FTC.  It only takes a few minutes to fill out the form!

Same story here. Received calls about every other day from this number as well as another number from a 701 area code. Both numbers have almost the same recording talking about credit card jibba jabba. I did as others have mentioned and reported them to the national do not call list. Just google "Do not call list" and the site should come right up. Filling out the form is very quick, as others have mentioned.

I just got the call today but didn't answer.  I just got a "blip" on my voice mail.

What gets me is that "000" is not a valid telephone exchange, so the number is obviously bogus and I don't think complaining to the "Do Not Call" list is going to do any good.

Got a call on my home number from this number, Caller ID just said "Name Unavailable", no message left...the odd thing was that I just got a call on my cell number a minute before from another 'scammer'...866-379-2003, could they be linked??

I am registered on do not call list but keep getting calls from this number.

They gave the same old stuff, Credit Card Services and calling me from the DO NO CALL list, whats up with that, they said they got my number from the DO NOT CALL LIST, I told them that means they DO NOT CALL ME...they said they would call me tomorrow and I told them they had better not call me at all.

Hung up then called the Card Service that they said they were from and found out they never called me and I gave them the phone number 1-764-000-2956 so they could be on the lookout for this SCAM.  Hello, first clue who in the US starts a phone number with 000...get real,

they request you press 9, that gives them access to use your phone # to make charges on your phone

why doesnt anybody ever go after these scumbags?

I get calls like after everytime I use my ATM card at Wells fargo!

I called and talked to my home phone carrier. She stated there is nothing they can do except change my phone number. She stated that the company is probably using a computer to dial in which changes the phone number. Does not seem to safe to me considering all cell phones must be registered to a name. Obviously this is a scam because they always hang up once I ask questions.
Also, i tried to file a complaint on the FTC but since the phone number comes back "not in service" I have no idea how to get this number to stop. I think the next time they call I will give them some bogus info to try to get more info on them...haha...or i can just get rid of my home phone.

Yes, they did the same thing to me. i hit 9 then when a person came on i told them we do not have a credit card. they hung up. not a word.

I am on the Do Not Call list, but still keep getting these calls. I don't understand how they think calling people who do not want to be called will benefit them!

This is a scam because when you ask them what credit card are you referring to lower the rate on they hang up. I think there just trying to get your info.

Someone from this number has called repeatedly despite the fact that I am on the national "do not call" list.  I tried to be respectful this time, and they rudely hung up on me.

We never carry a balance on our cards, so I don't need lower rates - as I've told them repeatedly.  They called continually months ago even after we asked them to stop.  Started again to day and I filed a complaint with the FTC as they're violating the do not call list.
