How do you people fall for these scams??

no such thing as an easy money job.  Someone who ask to cash a check for up to 10% is automatic scam. Same thing with receiving goods and shipping them to somewhere else.  Secret shoppers, notorious. if its to good to be true, IT IS!!!

What they do is ask you to withdraw the cash within 24 hours of the deposit. Any deposit over $1000 takes more than one business day to clear for withdraw. So, if you try to withdraw, some of the funds will have to be yours. Then, once the funds go to clear, the check bounces and you either overdraw or pay the entire amount with your own cash. It is a sent to source that you will never be able to track and you are screwed

Don't worry. If you don't deposit that check into your savings (or attempt to cash it in by any means) then they cannot do anything against you. This is probably a scam and they use real company names to hide their identity as a form to throw off suspicion. Just tell them you are not interested. Do not send them any money and find someone that will tell you that check is fake. This is most likely a fraud. Tell them to stop bothering you. They will probably send you a fake check and want you to give them real money. Whatever you do, do not try to deposit the check and get someone to tell you it's fake (which it most likely is). Hope this helps.

A similar story happened to me. I thought I was doing a legitimate job because I got an email through my university email but I am pretty sure it's just a lie. I am learning that if people want to earn true money and earn it an honest way they have to work honestly. My desire for having more money distorted my logic but thankfully I have loving parents that helped me come to my senses. I am still trying to determine if the check is valid ( which I am pretty sure it is). My advice for anyone reading this is do your research extensively before you agree to anything. The world can be a loving place but there are so many people out there who want to dilute you in multiple ways and the best way to prevent that is to be informed and don't believe everything someone tells you. The guy that asked me to deliver the money was Brat Philips (which I think is not his actual name) and I believe the place he wanted me to send the money was to the same address you have.

THIS A SCAM BAG ARTIST IF YOU KNOW ONE

Dear Applicant,

Your application for the  Administrative Assistant position has been received Sorry for the late response.
My name is Mark Ferguson  from Dawson Columbus Group. that creates a medium that links suppliers and buyers. I source for buyers and suppliers within and outside United States at the same time so I can link them to make profits. On every transaction made through my administration's linking, I have a 20% profit. I am constantly on the move organizing Seminars to bring buyers and suppliers together and that is why a virtual administrative assistant is needed to complete billings, invoicing and transactions to make this medium effective.

This position offers you 10% of processed transactions as they are steady and continuous with an average transaction amount of $3,000.00. You can handle as many as 3 transactions in a week as most payment are made install-mentally. The pay is great enough to encourage you to work hard and efficiently while it's more than enough for me to stay in business. I travel a lot and when a buyer wants to make a purchase, he\she has to hold-on till I return, to place an order. This create a long term effect on customers and they start sourcing for suppliers on their own

The best form of payment used are Business checks and direct bank transfers as they are guaranteed funds and are confirmed and readily available on the spot. They are not the only means used but they are the best for this process. Most of the buyers I work with are those I have previously handled successful transactions with, new buyers are verified and confirmed before the linking process occurs.
The mode of operation goes thus; You will be receiving transaction payments from verified buyers which will be mailed via secured courier service, You will have this payment processed  and have the processed payment transferred to the suppliers/vendors or directly to the company.
Your pay is 10% of the amount received from the buyer and all charges during processing will be deducted from the 90% balance This makes your pay a fixed 10% of the total amount processed. You can handle as much as 3 or more transactions per week and on 3 transactions you're sure of earning nothing less than $600.00 weekly.
The working hours are flexible as all you will be doing is processing of transaction payments and completing the transaction to the suppliers. You will be required to check your e-mail regularly for transaction updates. Working with me will also not disturb your other jobs, (If you have any) as I require that applicant only have easy access to the net to be easily reachable and respond/carry out instructions sent to them efficiently.

These are criminals recruiting money mules to launder money they're stolen from American businesses. The Feds have a warning out on this here http://www.ic3.gov/media/2010/WorkAtHome.pdf  though it's poorly written and you may be better off googling "money mule." The FBI says it *WILL* prosecute money mules.

This is employment scam that can go several ways. They can ask for a background check from a specific website (the scam is you pay for it), they can ask you to cash checks for them (your real money for fake checks), etc.
