Just received the same message from a Craigs list ad.  "Cash in hand".  Goes by the name of Joey with an email of: specdx@gmail.com.

Same message: sent via text at 3:45am
"hi my name is joey and im messaging you about your ad could you please email me more information on it at specdx@gmail.com , cash in hand

Received the same message from Joey @ 2:25a.m. this morning "hi my name is joey and im messaging you about your ad could you please email me more information on it at specdx@gmail.com . cash in hand".phone number was out of Oklahoma 405-459-0279. Great Website to expose these idiots.

I just got the same text message with the same email address as everyone else. The number he sent from this time is: 812-567-5048

I got same message from a different # ... 860-782-0453 whicis in CT & I am in FL so was suspicious.

just got a text message from this scum but it was from 657-229-2394.

just got one a few min ago from him using joey but the number is828-559-1433. same email and text.

Just got one for an ad that I have posted in Phoenix, same text, "hi my name is joey and im messaging you about your ad could you please email me more information on it at specdx@gmail.com . cash in hand". Came from 747-333-8054

I posted a car on craigslist (SF BAY AREA) and got the same message but he used phone number 775-573-8190. I replied and told him to call me if he really was interested.

Sent text at 1:18am from 347-992-8237 joey, reply to specdx@gmail.com I now run all craigslist e-mails phone numbers and texts thru google first. Thanks all for posting.

same here with the Joey person and the same BS ad he used!!!  from a colorado number this time: 970-329-1887....what a jerk...and i actually took the time to write the email he requested...hope i didn't screw up....coincedentally got a scam email regarding the ad.....now that i saw all of your postings, it makes sense how he got my email because i didn't even you the one he wrote to as my response email for my ad so YEAH definitely a scammer x 10!!!  What a b****ead!!!!

I called the number back instead of texting and it immediately asked me through an automated system for my name.  I then realized it was a scam and hung up.  The number was from Montana and i'm posting in Kansas.

Text me about my add on Craigslist.  Says his name is Joey and he has cash in hand.  His email address is specdx@gmail.com.  I see that this is some dude trying to get your email address to break into your Craiglist account and spam you.  He used phone number 9704585744

I received a similar message about an ad I placed on craiglist also.  This time he states he is Joey.  The number is:  (828)565-1348 The text said the same thing "cash in hand". I had the same thing happen last week from a different number.

I only replied with a text message. but now that i know hes been sending exact similar messages to others, i suggest you all do as I do and just delete, don't reply

It seems hes persistant in scamming people, do not reply to anything he/she/it sends you!

I too received a request from this Dean character using voice# 657-229-0497 from craiglist. I too responded BIG MISTAKE next day he was hacking into my craiglist account

I got a similar message about a ad I posted on CL  from this Dean character.  This time he (or she, it, who knows?) used a different phone number 731-577-9795.   He appears to be a scammer, phisher whatever.   The message was the same as yours almost:

"hi my name is dean and im messageing you about your ad could you please email me more information on it at specdx@gmail.com.  cash in hand.  thanks"

Does this sound familiar.   I actually sent an email.  *Mistake*  The email address is a fake. (Probably stolen)  My message was returned.   I no longer trust anything with a Gmail account.   It seems a lot of scammers are taking advantage of Gmail's apparent lax security and exploiting it.  The only thing the guy has is too much time on his hands.

I received a text message from this number about a craigslist add I had up selling my truck.  Say's his name is dean and he wanted me to send more info about my truck to his email address (specdx@gmail.com). Say's he has cash in hand. I never sent an email as this loser wants to put me on a spam list or something.
