same thing, selling motorcycle, paypal, military, in camp.  All the same telephone number..

Same exact scenario just occurred in response to my CraigsList posting to sell a motorcycle.   Below is the text messages I received.  I cut it off after this and didn't even get to the payment griff.

Contacted me through a text from my graig list ad. received the same bs as stated above on the other messages. Traced the number back to a home line. Total scam... The person must have hacked the number and is routing through it.

Yes, this is truly a scam. I had the exact same issue. He's in the military and has only paypal. Not an issue with price and hasn't even seen car. Haven't even talked to him.

Someone responded to ad on craig's list by text. Said he could only do paypal. This is the military scam you've heard about. Texted really detailed message about how to set up paypal account. Willing to buy something he hasn't even looked at, no price negotiation. Said he can't talk on phone. SCAM!
