I received the text message (above) daily on both my cell phone and my internet carrier email message center.
I did run a trace on the tel number. It is registered to a private residence in Lilburn GA. (Gwinnett County). Mid 40?s married couple owns house for 11 years. Owner?s elderly mother also lives there. If you received this message with the same callback number, you can access the name of the owner of this number by simply locating White Pages directory for Lilburn, GA online and do a reverse search with the number. The number is a listed number (not a non-publish). This does not necessarily mean they are the culprits, as lots of games can be played with phone numbers. But it certainly points a finger. I sent a copy to Georgia District Attorney & Gwinnett County GA. County sheriff office.

I got it today and it's weird because I had made a payment on my Cricket account a few days earlier.  I never called it and figured it was a scam.  Why?  Because in 14 years of having a Cricket account, no one has EVER contacted me from Cricket.  Hehehe.

Got a text message from notice@mycricket.com Alert: Call 17702790400 Regarding your card, since I don't have any cards decided to see if live person answered to call them a scammer. Just a recorded message saying wells fargo has limited your card then tries to get you to add a 16 digit card number. Called cricket and asked to not to send any more text messages from wells fargo or anyone. They will do this but someone should catch these crooks and put them in jail. Because some one might fall for this and become a victim. I hope no person gets scammed and these scammers get put in jail.

Just got an unwanted text from this number. It says its from info@mycricket.com and says its regarding my card. I googled the number and found this site. I formally report this as unwanted and fraudulent contact from this number whoever it is.

i received one today too, i dont have a wells fargo account!

Its a scam-  just like the ones I get from Wwlls Fargo even though I don't have any Wells Fargo accounts or cards - ignore them or send them a text asking them to stop immediately!!

I received the same message it is not from  cricket when i called the number it was an automated service claiming it was Wells fargo bank it is a scam alert your branch if you bank there do not give them any info.

I have also received this same text message and do not have any Wells Fargo accts.

When I call the number back it states that its Wells Fargo and the account is limited and to enter the 16 digit card number......I DONT HAVE WELLS FARGO!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you:
1.  Block a number from texting you?

2.  Report a number to the FTC - I am on the do not call list - does it apply to texts as well?

Send them a text instructing them to STOP sending spam to your cell phone or you will report them to the FCC. Worked for me.

I have been receiving texts from Wells Fargo instructing me to call regarding my account. Now I received a text from 770-279-0400 telling me it is in regards to my account. I have NO ACCOUNTS with Wells Fargo! How do I get this to stop?

That's what it is Leetla. DO NOT call this number! I have turned this number into the FTC before but it doesn't appear to do any good. If you have a Wells Fargo card and have questions about this call or better yet go to your local branch and talk to them.

I just got that message as well. Called, it was 'wells fargo' saying my card was restricted. I have no wells fargo card. It is a scam. Report them if you wish but don't give them your card details.

Trying to find out if phone number 770-279-0400 is a scam. I received a text to my phone from info@mycricket.com.
The text states: Alert Call #770-279-0400 , regaurding my card.? What card are they referring to has anyone else received a message like this by text????? Thanks for any input
