OMG SAME thing who is this??

They sending me TXT msgs.
But for somebody else. What's the law about txt msgs they are annoying!!!

This number texted me with a name and reference number to call them by February 25th.  So now they are apparently "auto texting" people.

It does not matter *how* they got your child's cell phone number. The deal is--they are violating the TCPA by robo-dialing a cell phone and you need to let them know the next time they call you intend to take legal action against them if the calls don't stop.

The robo-call: you?d recognize it by the slight pause before the person on the other end starts talking. What you might not know is that these phone calls may be illegal.

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 outlaws certain phone calls made to cell phones. When a company uses an autodialer (a machine that randomly dials numbers?or a list of phone numbers entered into the machine) it is not allowed to call a cell phone unless it has consent from the consumer.

Debt collectors get around this law in a couple of ways. When you filled out your original credit application, you wrote down a contact phone number. If you wrote down only one contact number, and it was your cell phone, the collector may assume you?re giving consent to call that number. The other way they avoid the law is that the original credit application may say something like:? by signing this application, you give us consent to call your cell phone.? But this is rare for older accounts.

If the debt collector robo-calls your cell phone without consent, it may be a violation of the TCPA, and you may be entitled to $500 damages per call. Damages can be tripled if you can show that the phone calls were made willfully or knowingly.

this number just left a Courtesy message on my childs cell phone. Don't know who they are or what business they have calling a nine year old. How can I stop the calls to a childs cell phone? They gave a reference number and call back number. How do they get a non published childs cell number?

I worked there before they do a lot of things they should not.

Got a call from this number.  Asking for someone else.

keeps calling me looking for someone i never head of. when i asked to remove me number they refused until i would give them my full name and number.

This representative from Federate is very rude and continues to call even though I am handling thi issue with an attorney.

Unknown number to me.

I received a call on my cellphone from these people and they left a message to call right away and when I called them back he wouldn't tell me what they do and pretended they were calling someone by another name. I ask him how he got my cell ph# and he didn't answer and told him to take my cell phone # off their list. If he calls again I am going to call BBB and report them. It said GA USA on the bottom.

I JUST  now got a call on my CELL phone from this same number.  Did not answer but listened to the message.  It is Federated Credit services looking for Mary Ellis.... and Mary you must call us back as soon as you get this message.  I know NO Mary Ellis and I am NOT Mary Ellis?????????????

Call left on my voice mail from this number for someoen I do not know. Hope this isn't the beginning of a nightmare from this place. They called me cell phone~~~how did they even get this number? I thought they were unpublished???? UGH!!! Thanks for posting, this site really helped me figure out who called my number and NOT to answer it or the voice mail(s) they might leave.

Harassing call from this number asking for persons whom I dont know.

I receive periodically several calls from this number everyday, the reps rarely give out any information stating "It is a personal matter" however I have managed to explain to them it is a wrong number but I am still harassed every day. What should I do? I have told them numerous amounts of times to remove this number from the call list but the calls continue. When I have asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, I remain on the line waiting for hours and then the line automatically hangs ups. HELP THIS COMPANY IS HARASSING ME AND SHOULD BE STOPED!!

got a call from this number yesterday. the woman asked for me, by name then said she was trying to get in touch with my ex-wife (also used her name) and said i was put down as a reference. when i asked what it was regarding, i was told it was of a personal nature.

This company is Federated Credit Service 3250 Peachtree Corners NW Norcross GA 30092.  The FCC said what they are doing seems to be "harassing business tactics" and that I should file a complaint with the FTC 1-877-382-0257 and with my state attorney general and write Federated a letter asking them not to call again.  This makes it illegal for them to call.  The persons Federated calls for does not live at my residence.

I just got a call from this number. The woman on the other line said she is from "Federal." I said "Uh... Federal WHAT??" She said "I need to know who I'm talking to before I can tell you." I said "Federal WHAT?? Who is this??" She said "I can't tell you until you verify your name." I said "Well, Ok, bye," but she had already hung up.

I just received a phone call from this phone number asking for a person I never heard of.When I asked who was calling and why they thought I would know this person they hung up on me.

Get a real job. And a real name while you're at it.

It is possible we have a wrong number. We make every attempt to verify the numbers we call. It is easy for us to delete any number in our systems, however, when you call, you must be willing to tell us the number we dialed so that it can be deleted. I doubt that any "exeuctives hung up" on you. Our executives rarely, if ever answer the phones.

Representatives from this company have called me now at least three times, twice leaving messages for a name I do not recognize.  In my attempt to tell them they have the wrong number -- by calling them -- three different executives hung up on me before they would listen to my question.  Maddening.  I now have a warning on my answering service message that if this company calls me again I will report them to the FTC and to Georgia's attorney general. As of today, 6/19/08, the number called me at 10:00 a.m. but did not leave a message.
