got a call at our business from 770-457-5608 asking for an employee that had left the company a long time ago. I told him this and he badgered me for the new manager's number then when I asked how I could help him, he hung up....obviously a scam call.

SAYS HE IS CALLING FROM POLICE  FUNDRAISING FROM 300 TO 6000 DOLLARS. FINALLY ANY AMOUNT WOULD BE APPRECIATED AS THEY ARE HELPING THE COMMUNITY  THE NUMBER IS 770-457 5603 TREASURER  4043149997. MOTTO TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE .VERY TRUE.

First time he called he sounded like he knew us personally.  When he called the second time, I'd figured out he'd looked us up on our website and knew our names.... but still misprounounced. them.  After 2 weeks of off and on calling asking for the boss but never getting thru (boss was always in a "meeting" - he finally left a voicemail.  "Hi this is Jim Thompson, just calling to say hello."
Boss googled the number and found this information.
WHen he called back the next day, I told him we were not interested in whatever it was he was offering.

Only THEN did he make the first mention of the Fraternal order of the police.  I still asked to be removed from the list.

He was quite frustrated.  I wasn't anymore. :)

I just got a call from them too.   The guy sounded like he was so important.  He mispronounced by boss' name.  I told him he was in a meeting and asked if he would like his voicemail; he then asked me how long his meeting would be.  I told him I didn't know and again offered his voicemail; he then asked for my name and I hung up on him.  Funny he never called back.
