Recieved a text from this number with a YouTube link in it today. Obviously I didn't click it. I have an Atlanta area code so I assume it is a mass spam.

ok geniuses. I went to the interview today after talking to Eva on the phone yesterday. The company is completely legit. They advertise and market for direcTV and Cox communications. They have locations all over the country. I met with Robert and this business is real. I dont know how anyone can say this is a scam if you dont even go to the interview. They didnt ask for any money upfront or at any other time. Grow up people. Not everything is a scam. If it doesnt hurt you, then its not a scam.

I got the same email as the two from Ohio, only instead of Eva or Molly Jones, mine is from Eva Jones.  And the company name is still Top Notch advertising in Tucson, so I'm not sure what to think.  It does seem a little strange, as I don't remember sending them a resume and everyone seems to be getting the same email from different variations of the same name.  Then again, if it is lots of branch companies independently run under one umbrella company that would explain it.  So far, I don't really see how it could be a scam.  As long as they are not asking for any money what is the harm?  I think I will go for an interview and see what the deal is, as no one on here seems to have tried that. Everyone is just assuming its a scam beause it seems a little fishy.  Could be, but only one way to know for sure.

Was contacted by this number from Careerbuilder. What a joke, I didn't even submit a resume so that tipped me off. I did an internet search on the number, came across this site. Do these people think job seekers are that stupid?

"Thank you for your resume submission with M.K.W.   We attempted to contact you and were unable to reach you by phone.  We have reviewed your resume and would like to schedule a personal interview to discuss your career opportunities with us. I believe you are a strong candidate for our team, and would like the chance to speak with you further. Please contact me as soon as possible to schedule.

I look forward to speaking with you!

Hey Guys,

I used to work with Top Notch Marketing (Advertising) in Tucson, and they are not a scam... And no, not everyone (including me), can handle commission based sales.  The reason you're getting a call from Georgia, from Eva, is because all of the hiring for these small companies happens from a CORPORATE location.  These are small companies branching off of a larger company SmartCircle International.  SO, go ahead and think it's a scam, but it's your loss at an opportunity for a job interview.  Just throwing that out there.

I also recieved an email from this company with the same phone number but for me she was Eva Jones. LOL! Also, I never applied for a position with them so I don't even know how they recieved my application or saw my resume. That was the first clue to me that it was a scam. Also they said they could not reach me by phone and of course they couldn't because I never applied with them therefore they never had my number to begin with.

First off, didn't anyone notice...

1) that the company name changes frequently - now it is Zobel Enterprises (August, 2012)
2) that Eva's last name is always changing - now it is Eva McVinney
3) that they contact random people for interviews for different buildings, but always with the same phone number - in Georgia
4) This posting is open to the public. The person above from DirectTV has no direct evidence of successful employment with the company. I could tell you that I earn $100,000 per year at their company, but there is no proof of that.
5) They have no website and the domain owner is hidden. Don't just take my word, check out the domain info for webhrdept.com at <http://who.is/whois/webhrdept.com/>

6) My Email from "Zobel Enterprises":

Good to see this response. I returned a call to the same person discussed here, Eva, and will talk to her tomorrow. It didn't even occur to me that this could be a scam. I'll go to the interview to see what they are all about and what type of jobs they are offering.

You all are pretty naive to automatically assume something is a scam. If you have an interview to an actual office with a legit address, how can you say it's a scam before trying it out? I'm actually an account manager with this company. We promote and market DirecTV in a retail environment. We're the ones with the DirecTV tables inside of Sam's Club, Best Buy, and Walmart here in Tucson, AZ. We have over 300 offices nationwide which explains the different phone numbers. Our reps on average make $600 per week, and others, such as myself, have made over $1,000 in one week. I've also had the priviledge to travel all expenses paid to a top leaders meeting in Dallas, TX where we meet the top account managers and owners that are establised throughout the country. But if you think that's a scam it's ok, not many people can handle $1000 in their pocket every friday. These little marketing business names are just what owners want to call their companies once they branch out. The parent company for everyone is actually SmartCircle International. I'm sure you can find tons of stuff on them.

Best Regards,

Your Local DirecTV Retailer!

OK - here's the (multiple) deal. Top Notch Marketing is in business since late 2010. President is Robert Jamison.

He has a linked-In profile that looks bogus, but AZ Corporation Commission has Top Notch Marketing listed. Why Eva is calling from Georgia is anyone's guess. Their address is 333 Wilmott #340.

It's hard to believe that Robert is a marketing company president when he can't even distinguish between spelling "their" and "there" correctly...

Also - Eva says the company name is Top Notch Advertising, not Top Notch Marketing. There is no Top Notch Advertising company in Tucson. Eva emailed me stating she could not reach me by telephone. Her email came from TOPNOTCH  at WEBHRDEPT dot COM. webhrdept domain name does not exist.

Scam, most likely.

I got the exact same email and call from "Eva".  I am going to call her back to find out what the deal is.  It is a shame that it might all be B.S.  I love advertising, and wanted to get into the field.  I'll let you know what happens when I call her a little later.

I received a call from "Eva" this morning requesting an interview for a customer service position with DirectTV. She said she saw that I submitted an application to DirectTV for a customer service position (which I did). I also received an email which is copied below:

Dear Scott,

Hi!  You are scheduled to meet with our manager Robert on 04/26/2012 at 9:00 AM.  Please bring a hard copy of your resume.  If you are unable to make the scheduled appointment please contact me as soon as possible.  We look forward to meeting with you!

Thank You!

After researching Top Notch Advertising and not finding much of anything, I don't think I'll be going to the interview (even though I need a job). Pretty slick.

I got a call and email from the company days ago wanting to set up an interview because they liked my resume.  The failed to give me the nature of the business after I sent several emails.  When attempting to call, I went straight to voice mail.  The interview is set for today at 10:30 and after reading these post, I am definitely not going.  I was hesitant to go anyway as a result of the lack of information about this company.

I have received two calls to my cel from this number and have not been able to answer (at current job). It is this exact girl (Eva) calling to schedule me for an interview with Core Four Marketing in Las Cruces for a 'position'. She says she found my resume on Monster (which I did post).

I wonder what kind of benefit they could get from scams like this though?

I got a call from this number and they told me they had found my resume on Monster. They offered an interview for a Customer Service Representative position and asked me if I was interested and if so would I be available to interview soon.
(A copy of the email they sent me is at the bottom of this posting...)

Now that I think about it the whole conversation happened pretty fast, very slick sales pitch for the job. It's hard to remember exactly how it happened.

Now that I can't sleep - I'm up wondering what the interview is for exactly and why I didn't look them up. So then I found THIS website. Thank goodness.

Needless to say, I will be declining the interview. BEWARE and Good Luck.

got a phone call saying that it was from Georgia.  It was about a customer service job.  It did not seem like a legitimate business to me.  Looked all around on the internet for a legitimate website and could not find one.  Went to the BBB website and Advanced Media could not be found.  This was probably spam.

I just a call and email to have an interview tomorrow morning. The phone number of the HR person was 770-990-4504. But hey are interviewing here in Arizona. They say that they are opening 4 to 6 more advertising firm here. This company was advertised at the Career Builder site. The company name is Top Notch Advertising. Area code here is 520 ( Tucson ). I wonder now if this company is connected to the company that was mentioned above as Maven Marketing as the phone number that called me was 770-990-4504???
