We got the same call.  I believe the automated voice said to call "Daphne" at that number regarding information on debt collection and that all information would be used for that purpose.

This lady Mrs. Bog left a really nasty message on my answering machine. No company name just that she was calling to advise me of action that was being taken out against me and that she new my name, address, social security number and driver's license #. Anyone can know these things about you if they do their research. Does anyone know who this woman is? On my caller ID it stated AS & Associates as one of the phone calls but it was a different # and I forgot to write the number down and it is on my home phone and I am at work. She can't just proceed against me without informing me of what this debt is for, correct. I thought that I had paid off all of my payday loans in full. This phone call came as a surprise.

I called and it either goes straight to a voicemail with no company name or to a woman with the name of Mrs. Farver (?) and no company name. Anybody know this number 800-879-4358.  This number keeps coming up on my caller ID. Sometimes they leave a message and when I call they say it is American Express. Last time I looked I was dealing with (trying anyway) with a collection agency. Sent the a validation letter and a Cease and Desist. Is it possible that Amex took this back after the CA got my letter. Or is this number in fact a collection agency "posing" as Amex. If it is, I will then keep copies of the voicemails and go after them for violating the Cease and Desist. Anyone else have any dealings with this number?

Does anyone know the number 713-270-6900 or 713-270-6914. This lady called my job yelling, I mean actually yelling in my ear about a loan I took out a year ago. She said the name of her company so fast, I could not make it out. I do not appreciate people yelling in my ear.

I get a call on my cell from 1-222-222-2222...got back and listen to the voice mail and its NCO!  They have been calling me from various phone numbers here and there, and no written notice from them as required by the FDCPA within 5-days of the first call.

I am sending them a DV letter tomorrow, but did I also read someplace on here that per FDCPA CA's must use their real phone numbers when calling? Someone let me know so I can include that in my letter too.

Also, the automated message didnt give my name or anything, but said that they were "NCO and they needed to let me know that they are a debt collector".

I received a voicemail from a woman who spoke so quickly, I'm not sure of her name. I think it is Donna Leonhardt or similar. She called from 913-322-3548, but said to call ASAP on urgent matter to 866-317-6024 x1045. She then called my sister's voicemail trying to reach me! Since I gave my sister's name & number as a reference when I got a ton of those damned online payday loans, it must be a collection agency for one of them. I Googled the toll-free number and found reference to Mid America Credit Bureau (MACB) with an address of 15501 W. 99th St., Lenexa, KS 66219. Should I mail them a certified letter requesting no telephone contact and a written statement of debt or something? I can't have them calling my sister! How embarassing!!!!!

Is there a good website to look up 800 numbers that call. I have one that calls several times a day and then it makes a very awful static noise. There has never been anyone on the other end. One called today and I didn't answer. Not sure if it is even the same one. But there was no info on it on the web. 1-800-392-1887. I should call it back to see who it is, but don't want to. I have an attorney for some of my accounts, so I am trying to be careful who I call. Others I have sent letters to tell them not to call me, so it would be stupid to call them.

Hi, I received a message on my machine while I was at work. Caller states his name is Verone Jackson, and he is from the Investigation Dept at Capital Investigative Services. A complaint has been formed against me, and I need to contact him before a suit is filed against me.

He states to call back at 410-864-8949. My caller ID states Maryland, 410-774-0204. He's called twice in the past week.

Anyone know an address for them, for me to mail a DV and C&D? Can't find one for them.

I know for a FACT that I have NO paperwork from them, and they are not on my credit report. I have sent out all my DVs for people on my CR, this is probably one of their double identities since I stated no phone contact in my letters.

This number called me today unfourtanetly I was at work and i couldn't answer my phone the number is 310-318-0779 when I called it back the recording said world wide publishers!I am thinking this is like a book company or something I am gonna do some research and check it out!But if anyone finds out anything on this company please let me know!I know it is in california but if anyone has any clue who it is and pulls the information up before I do let me know!I also recieve calls from utah and the number is 801-364-8899 the company says on the recording says consumer first!And i am also recieving calls from 239-274-3309 this is in florida well if any one finds out addresses or information on any of these numbers please let me know it would be well appreciated.

I also got a call from a man with a thick indian accent to my home.  He was asking for someone who didn't live here.  I told him he had the wrong number but he proceeded to call back multiple times even after i had told him not to call.  He said he had every right to call and he would.  He called three more times and i didn't pick up.  Eventually the calls stopped coming.
