I was contacted by this number from someone pretending to be a collection company. they kept asking me personal question trying to get info and wouldn't id themselves. Finally they told me they represented a company in Illinois. Later that evening I called the number from the house phone only to hear a tv in the background and a few voices that sounded like young adults. I believe this to be a scam after researching the history on the number and I am thinking of calling the police.

AIS some collection agency. they will tray to make it sound like you are in trouble with the IRS.. just put them on hold.
