I have been getting calls from this place every day for nearly 2 weeks.  Since I didn't know who they were, I let it go to voice mail.  The caller ID identifies them as a modeling agency and I wonder what they would say if they found out both me and my wife are retired and approaching 70!!!!!

This place is JRP, or John Robert Powers. The position themselves as a "modeling and talent agency" but they are a total rip-off.  They "audition" kids with this big dog-and-pony show, saying that only 10% of the kids will ever make it. Then, they invite EVERYONE back and do a hard-sell, pay-cash-now sales pitch. We fell for it because, at this point, the kids' hopes are raised and the parents are basically forced to sign them up. After that, it's even more of a nightmare, as they are very rude and condescending to the parents about everything... if you miss a class, too bad, if you forget your check book, too bad, if you're early to class, too bad wait outside, etc., etc., etc. They make a ton of promises in terms of scouts, talent agents, auditions, etc., and then deliver NOTHING. Stay away. You've been warned.

They called and said my mom referenced me to them? HOW DID THEY KNOW MY NAME AND MY MOMS? They asked my height and of I had piercings? Uh ok totally a scam they just want money. My mom didn't even know about this? DON'T FALL FOR IT

I just got a call about 10 minutes ago and It was a man talking about wanting to speak to my mother to accompany me to an Interview call audition for magazines/tv shows and such . He told me " Were looking for some new faces and our recruiters remember you " Idk he's gonna call back tmrw, should I bother picking up or letting my mom speak to him?

This is a modeling agency located in Chicago.  My daughter gave her information at Lake County Fair at a 'Candy Booth' for this agency about a month ago ~ your worst nightmare come true (luring kids with candy)???  They called her yesterday afternoon, requested that she ask for parental permission to attend an interview, and left a contact number (773) 413-6426 to call back to set up an appointment.

Recieved a call from this number several times but didn't answer. Thought it was a hoax.
